Had no trouble find a helpful staff to point out exactly what we needed. Parking is a breeze because of proximity to elevators and checkout.

Sold me a faulty product (smart lock) and they refuse to accept a return because I opened the package.

It was a great service with Canadian tire center! We had a nail on one of our rear tire. We went to costco, bigotire and Mr.lube to get opinions. We were told that we had to replace all 4 tires without even checking. But we just replace a brand new front tire a year ago and only drove less than 3000 Km since. Costco was the worst of all! They were so impatience and told us they had to replace all four tires because they had to be the same brands because they did not carry my tire's brand. Their attitude was the worst! Canadian tire was our last store to get opinion on. Gensis, Nash and Steven were very helpful and Gensis was very patience with us. He explained a lot of things to us and help us understand the situation. After listening to our story, Gensis told us that they would first check if our tire was repairable then offered options if it was not. Both Costco and Mr. Lube never even bothered to do what Canadian tire did. They just assumed that we had a nail and all our four tires were needed to be replaced. Gensis at Canadian tire is such a nice guy and a great supervisor/manager I assumed. He went an extra mile for the customer and put our best interest first! As a business owner myself, I really think it is hard to find a great employee like Gensis these days. In the end, it turned out to be that our tire only needed a patch. It only cost us 70 dollar! At Costco, they quoted us for almost $3000 to replace all tires. We will for sure go back to Canadian for future replacement! We would 100% recommend this Canadian tire center at Cambie.

The only thing I didn't like about this location was the security gaurd. He regularly harassed people trying to leave, but he's been gone for at least a couple months, so, I have no complaints.

When you call their shop, you never get through to anyone. You keep pressing the right call button but it just resets back to the main menu. Their website is also incorrect in terms of finding your items.

Last week I had a repair on my car, was waiting many hours but no one called me. I went to the desk and there was not even a sorry for forgetting me. Canadian tire was always such a good shop, really not nice to see how things change. Would be really great if you guys could remember your friendly and reliant Canadian roots and change to the best again.

This is one of the only stores I've ever had to return things for being defective, and the only one that's argued about it. They sold me a space heater that immediately filled my entire home with the smell of burning plastic. When I brought it back the annoyed clerk just kept saying she wouldn't refund my money because she couldn't put it back on the shelf to sell - Except you aren't supposed to resell dangerous defective goods!

5 stars for their impressive inventory tracking system. Asked a staff member about a heater in early summer, an off-season product, & the guy looked on his phone & knew exactly what high shelf it was on. Rolled a mechanized elevating machine to the right aisle that lifted him to the top shelf & he found the item in an instant. Website accesses same database & seems to be reliably up to date on what is physically in the store & what has to be ordered from someplace else.

This company should start selling more products that are made locally. I don't mind paying a little bit more if it supports the local economy.

July 15,2023 Update: I have previously encountered issue with their faulty automated check-out system, so I decided to bypass the self-checkout and approach the cashier, just as I had done in my last purchase. However, to my surprise, the cashier directed me to another register to complete my transaction. Irritated by the inconvenience, I chose not to proceed with my intended purchase and instead made my way to Home Depot. HD's checkout process proved to be far more seamless, without the presence of intrusive security guards demanding receipts even after payment had been made. Today, I am reducing the star rating of this store to 1 star.

So here is my review. I went to an area in Maple Ridge that had a ton of mosquitoes and sprayed myself with it twice and received 0 bites!
. So I can say it worked! Actually smells nice too and no residue on your clothes!
The only thing is the can only lasted me for the day but I ended up sharing my can with 5 other people. Hehe.

Very big store with everything you need, from plants to screws. You stay for hours until you can see everything in the store.

Every time I go here everyone is getting stopped and items pulled out to be checked against their receipt. Waste of time and bad experience because these cheap sobs want to save a few bucks with less cashiers. Give your business to another store.

Poor customer service they shouldn't be any East Indian girls with no English working and to be the manager

You have to use the self-checkout. Every self-checkout transaction ends up needing the cashier on duty. The cashier on duty is the only employee you'll have an easy time finding. Finding the product you need is like the scavenger hunt from hell.

When they go out of business, I'm throwing a party. Open bar!

I accidentally bought a battery booster that says on the receipt is not refundable, the teller never mentioned this to me either, I charged it up and it never worked its the energizer brand, so the net day I took it back to get refund they rudely said "it says on receipt no refund for battery booster" in the end after my complaint they offered me a discount on a better brand why would I pay more than I originally intend to lol I lose 100 bucks, better to shop and home depot or Walmart you get way better service. Canadien tires are all franchised and therefore can do whatever they want.

Poor return experience.

I went to return a product that was missing the tag and other accessories when I initially purchased it. The associate asked where the tag was and I told him that it was missing when I purchased it. He had the audacity to ask "how I bought it then? " if it didn't have the tag. I felt like I was being accused of stealing. It's simple, the associates at the other store were able to find out the product number for the purchase.

I had several other purchases from the last transaction and the associate didn't brother to confirm the product to the product code and inputed the wrong item. Honestly it was pretty clear on the receipt which item corresponded with the product that I was returning. But he chose to randomly choose the incorrect product. I was returning a "Raleigh Handlebar Bag" which on the receipt was indicated by "RAL HNDR BAG" so I'm not sure how he confused a bag with "GEAR TIES ASST"? Because he made a mistake (fortunately I caught it, otherwise I would've lost like 7 dollars) he had to redo the entire transaction.

I like Canadian Tire aways has what you need. Sometime it costs more, other times its way cheaper.

Awful experience. I went to buy a Horizon EX59 Elliptical Machine/Trainer, and even though I checked with the store and knew they have it, yet the girl who works at their fitness department said they have it “at their second warehouse which means I can’t get it today”! So why should I drove ALL the way to the store if you don’t have it at this moment? ! Couldn’t they tell me this BEFORE I go there? ! This is my second time I receive poor service at this location.

We always check here for housewares and other items. Large selection and good pricing for value

Yo can you guys either stock your stuff or take it off your website as “in stock”? Not very useful if you have it in stock but I can’t buy it, now is it? Happened twice already, thankfully one out of the three people I had to ask knew what was going on. Two stars because of the person who helped - otherwise I’d be rating one star. Not coming back. If you value your time, I don’t recommend coming here:)

Large, two-floor store layout with generous space in the main walkways to maintain adequate distance. Generally well-stocked, but sometimes difficult to find a store associate to ask for help. Ideally you'd want to check online to see if your item is in stock and, if so, which aisle to find it.

To be honest really bad.
Returning. Asked for valid I'd.
Phone number was asked for 5 times.
Willing to replace faulty item.
Sent to wrong isle. Found in another isle was out.
Took refund.
Asked where another item was yet again sent to the wrong aisle.
Kept waiting only to be told to go and find the item myself.
I found ot a huge disappointment and big waste of my time.
There simply was no customer service.

This is the worst Canadian tire I've ever been to! I've never had a pleasant experience here. There are very few staff, if you need to find something, good luck! There are no cashiers, so I hope you like being one yourself. 0/10, I often try going to home depot first, as they actually employ staff which aid customers.

Terrible service. If you need something you have to wait like forever. Alternatively you can run around and good luck catching one of the sale stuff.

Worst canadian tire I've ever visited. The staff didn't know anything about the products. The manager was so rude. Prices were all messed up and I had to go check out the price twice and then I had to go take a picture of that item.
So, It took me 20 minutes to get the things sorted for checkout but I still didn't get the price that was posted on the item. Don't go to this Canadian Tire ever.

After going in to get a car battery the person was was on the phone behind the counter, no problem. The problem was that the moment we walked up they turned their back and continued to talk.for so long that we left and took our business elsewhere.

No matter which Canadian Tire I go to, I always walk out knowing there's more I want to run back into the store and buy.

I stopped by the Cambie store because (1) I happened to be in the area during the boxing week promotions and (2) I saw that this location carried a bunch of items that my local branch was out of.

I liked what I saw in the store: good deals & good selection. I don't know if it is my favourite layout but I found my way around.

I'm a 35 years Licensed Mechanic, find their Tools are more that adequate/ rugged to use every day professionally. I can spend hours in this one stop shopping at Cambie Store.

Really enjoy the customer service here. No issues whatsoever. If you're looking for an item and need to help, customer service is friendly and available to assist you. They genuinely enjoy their jobs unlike other CT locations where bathrooms and customer service is non-existent.

Very covid conscientious.and has masks avail able and extra staff for extreme measures where as eliminates distance by having staff enough to help and answer question.yet still able to tackle those peskie unwanted boosters

The cashier was impatient. I bought a big item and it was difficult for me hold it up to the counter by myself, but she was unmoved. Fortunately, a customer saw it and helped me to carry it up to the counter. Then the cashier scanned the code.

One of the best Canadian Tires in the Lower Mainland. The store is very well laid out. Easy to find what you are looking for. Though I do prefer Rona, I do love this Canadian Tire.

I come here mostly to buy paint, and there is never a person in the paint section. I love Canadian Tire but sometimes you really have to walk around to find an employee to help you

I waited to have an item unlocked from a secure display case for 30 minutes because the assistant in the department kept helping others with questions. I knew what I wanted and she seemed to rather help people with questions about hammers.

Let’s start with the good. Canadian, great location, amazing deals. Now with the bad. I can understand that staffing might be an issue especially during the busy holiday season. However, it seems they are hiring anyone with a heartbeat. Today I had the most horrid, rude and slow cashier that after 25 minutes (NO JOKE) of doing my transaction I couldn’t take it anymore. She just couldn’t figure out how to print gift receipts and didnt want to ask anyone for help I’m assuming. I called for someone to help her out (her badge said trainee) she got upset and had the audacity to call me crazy then stormed off. What happened to the cheerful smiles and amazing customer service Canadian tire was all about back in the day?

Tight spaces very narrow which wasn't always the case so they are trying to cramp more in. Prices are reasonable I guess. Parking expensive at 3 dollars an hour. No real street parking to speak of.

Absolutely amazing sales! I got a new set of dishes and non-toxic pots and pans which I truly love. The staff was incredible and very helpful! Great experience!

Typical Canadian Tire - mostly overpriced junk. But every so often, you can find a good deal on something. Given the great location, it's worth a pop in every so often.

Great selection of home accesories and equipment. Parking can be difficult. Traffic is heavy so need to use parking lot. Great for kitchen and bathroom aids.

Terrible service always big line up in customer service 2 staff for returns and bag check ridiculous should have always some one extra to help 2 customer 1 for bag check
Also inside the store at least one for every 2 or 3 aisle you walk in the whole store and no one visible or available
At the end you go to the closest which are the cashier and they are not even friendly to help just awful experience everytime.

I wanted to give a shout out to Jennifer. I went to the Burnaby South location and they didn't have the Christmas lights I was looking for, despite online saying they were in stock.

I called the Cambie location and Jennifer tried to confirm they were in stock with a seasonal employee over walkie talkie. When the employee couldn't confirm she went out of her way to go look for me herself. More retail stores need employees like her.

Edit: I wanted to add Daniela from the upstairs self checkout area to my review. I had a price matching form and she was knowledgable on how to do it via the self checkout. While I was there multiple people were in a rush and got mad at her for helping me ahead of them, even though I was there first. The customers were quite rude and she didn't deserve it at all.

Store didnt have what I needed, BUT The clerks who helped me were ultra helpful and courteous, which is more than I can say for Home Depot on Cambie!

One of my favorite stores ever. No matter what you are looking for you can find it in Canadian Tire, sports, plumbing, electrical, consumables, gardening, house decorating, car features and maintenance, school, stools, tables, fireplaces! I bought mine there for black Friday and was a super good deal.

This Canadian tire is quite small and has an odd assortment of stock. But they order in from other Canadian tires so that's fine if you Pre order. Parking costs mo ey so I prefer to go farther to the one on Grandview highway and not pay.

We all know customer service at Canadian Tire is as beyond absent as it gets. Pair this up with extremely poor quality products and irritating self-check out machines and you're left with this place.

I remember when Canadian Tire used to have friendly staff and decent prices. Now, their prices are high, and the staff only answer questions through sufferage. I went elsewhere to get what I wanted to buy.

Really like that they have cool houseplants. I was thrilled to find a neon pothos, a variegated one, then recently a satin pothos. They were on my wish list. Some were not in really great shape and they wouldn't discount.

A single star because no option to give less. Will never give another cent to this chain. I don't think there was a person with an IQ over 10 in the store. Staff was rude, not helpful and couldn't figure out how to call someone who did know anything. Eventually found a manager, which took about 10 mins of waiting. He said those are locked away, but no problem, go to the cashier upstairs, I'll have this sent there. 15 minutes later I ask and it was sent to the other side of the store and they refused to bring it to the side they told me to go to. I went downstairs to Best Buy, purchased the same item at the same price and got free accessories. Canadian Fail!
