Canadian Tire

Have been coming here for years with my well behaved dog. Staff know him by name and offer him treats. Rudely told I am no longer welcome. Will find another store to shop at. I have no objection to denying customers or pets that can’t behave.

Every other Canadian Store welcomes well behaved dogs, it’s their corporate policy. Odd they sell pet supplies if they don’t welcome them.

Perhaps someone reading this will reconsider this misguided and poorly implemented policy.

We popped in to take a look at the Garden Section and buy some seeds. Good potted plant selection for a small store but lacking in array of seeds. We picked up a few things we needed. The checkout was so cluttered with boxes we needed help turning our buggy around to get out. Staff were aloof and indifferent.

The service attitude is bad, the defective products are still on the shelf, and I only found out after I bought them home, and I have to drive half an hour to return them. Try not to shop in this store in the future.

I had a hole in my tire and needed it fixed as I had to change it out and use my spare tire. I went to Canadian Tire Sechelt to have it repaired and because my spare is a spare, I thought I should put the regular tire back on and the service rep agreed as I thought it is safer that all tires should be the same. I also asked if they could put the spare back on the tire mount at the back of the car. I did a little shopping waiting for my tire to be fixed and changed back. I have been purchasing my tires from CT for the last 10 years or so, so it was an obvious place to have my tire fixed but when I went to pay for it, I was charged 32.99 to fix the whole in the tire and 30.00 to mount the tire, he never told me that and to be fair I didn’t ask but never did I think it would cost 30.00 to take a tire off and on. And too boot, my spare tire was not even mounted where it should be and where I asked. So with taxes, it cost me 70.00 just to fix…completely ridiculous! I thought about saying something there but I just wanted my car back and to be home…enough for today! But I kept thinking about it and how I feel like I was taken advantage of because of being a woman. Unbelievable how much it cost to have a flat tire fixed and replaced and it was for some idiot that did not clean or secure a load as it was staples from a staple gun I ran over. Anyways, I used to think CT was fine to go for vehicle issues but not any more! I am done with CT especially the one in Wilson Creek! I ussd to think they were much more reasonable, especially gfor those on the lower end of the poor-middle classbut they are charging like they are a dealership now! Done.

I was looking for planting mix. The Garden Shop attendant, a wonderful young guy named Billy, offered the best customer service I’ve ever had in that store. He was helpful, efficient, polite & genuinely nice. Thank you Billy.

Horrible customer service in auto motive department. Told me to go online and order it myself. Clearly based on reviews this store has some issues.

Year after year Ken expresses his exasperation that you asked him a question, heaven forbid two. Josh the Manager thought "Portland" cement was a brand. Things I needed that they were out of stock: Extra heavyweight clear plastic sheets, styrofoam glue (Ken never heard of it), 4 inch corner brace "L" bracket, Quikrete 1101-10 10 Lbs. Concrete Mix, clear sheathing tape. And I walked an hour and took transit an hour to get there. Very dissappointing!

In-store they're great, wish they'd answer their phone though. I just read the response to my review, to be clear the four stars was because you do not answer your phone very often if ever. Reading the other reviews this seems to be a problem so I've dropped it to 3 stars. LISTEN TO YOUR CLIENTS AND ANSWER THE PHONE WHEN PPL CALL, AND I'LL UPDATE THIS TO 5 STARS IMMEDIATELY IF I HAVE SOMEONE PICK UP THE BUSINESS PHONE WHEN I CALL

Just had to say to all patrons involved were awesome today when I was looking for the unfindable bike for my son and the massive planer that was still in the back of the storage somewhere. Also the very patient ladies at the till and the one who even helped me to the car with my heavy kart. Thanks to all for the kind and diligent service! Hats off to you all!
