If I could I would put a zero, not the first time. They will not accept items that are purchased at their location for a refund (brand new never used). Customer service is the worst. Cashiers are not any better. Never going back.
Thank you Monica for single handedly bringing disco back from the dead! She helped us fullfill our mission of collecting a disco ball, she unknowingly saved the entire world, she is everyone’s hero.
Good gun and ammo selection probably because their is never anyone their to sell them second time this week trying to look at the Tikka arctic 308 and no one will help only a 3100$ gun
Be very cautious of pricing and make sure to call the store and talk to them before going. Specifically the Westbank location. Drove over an hr and a half round trip to pick up a product that is advertised for $38.99 online. Upon arrival at the store the tag said $56.99. Talking to the staff, and manager Ryan. I was told there is nothing they can do but sell for posted in store sticker price, normally I wouldn't care but when purchasing over a dozen of the item it adds up. Wasting customers time is nothing they care about. Honoring their own online price is not something they do so make sure to call before arriving. Speak to a staff member to check stock and pricing.
I had a fantastic shopping experience at Canadian Tire! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making my visit enjoyable. The store was well organized and tidy, making it easy to find what I needed. They had a great selection of products, and their "As is" section was the best in town.
Really tough to get service here, a really long wait if you need ammo or anything in lock up. Perhaps they are short staffed but a 20 min wait for someone is a bit painful.
Shop here regularly to see if they have any deals and within 15 seconds of being in the store i was approached by a young staff member that insisted i check in my backpack at the front. I have a lot of personal belongings and cash in my bag that i don’t feel comfortable leaving in my vehicle so i bring it into every store. It’s not fair to stereotype someone as a thief because they are carrying a backpack. Canadian Tire should do better and hire more security rather than chase people around the store. I voluntarily left rather than trusting a staff member with my bag. Ill go over to Walmart where they don’t hassle people with backpacks.
The staff was extremely helpful. My mom's car battery had died and needed to be replaced. Luckily, they had one in stock at the Westside store. We had called ahead, and the lovely gentleman had everything prepared when we arrived 5 minutes to close. Thank you so much!
I'll never shop this store again. The blonde lady at customer service out right called me a liar when I wanted to return a Buck knife which broke. Also got stuck with a broken Dyson stick vac right out of the box. NEVER AGAIN!
If the main guy that works here is on shift then you get service right away, but if he’s not it’s like pulling teeth to try to get service.multiple employees walking by while you look at ammo and 0 asking you for assistance.you should at least put up a sign saying there isn’t a teller instead of watching people pace back and forth for 30 minutes.
Really wish Canadian tire would change their philosophy and process. However, they are making money hand over fist so odds of them changing are probably slim to none in Canadian Tire Money is a Farce unless you use their credit card or pay cash or debit. People buying that use a credit card other than Canadian tires. Don’t realize they’re not getting their Canadian tire points to win they should and buying product at regular price not on sale which the product is grossly overpriced. You used to be able to talk to a Canadian tire store owner/manager and get some satisfaction regarding Canadian tire money and or prices on product that was not on sale yet as almost everything at some point or another goat does go on sale in order to be competitive, I would highly recommend going elsewhere for your products if you can find them elsewhere
Made an appointment to purchase and install 4 tires, the day that was my appointment, I found out they sold those tires to someone else and now I have to wait till October to get them. Also they refused to offer the sale price that I had on those tires for the new tires. I'm sure I will get a canned response from them as well to call us for customer satisfaction!
Purchased a generator here June 16th, utilized it once over the weekend and was unhappy with how loud it is. It's marketed at 54 decibles but under load is way more measured at 71-78 decibles. Knowing I didn't want it I placed it back in all its original packaging.
I had a friend try and return it for me as I'd be out of town for a week and the store manager refused to take it, claimed all generator sales are final! Nowhere in Canadian tire policy is this stated.
I personally attempted to return it on July 6th and the manager stated the same thing and said it was a directive from the GM of the store.
Buyer beware, if your dissatisfied with a product from this store they may not adhere to their own return policy and back the products they sell. Additionally, after speaking with customer relations they also say there's nothing they can do.
Shop elsewhere, Amazon would have taken it back without a hassle. Wish I didn't decide to support local on this one.
