Friendly staff and good prices for a 24/7 in this neighbour hood, people complaining about the homeless/druggies outside and the saying the employees dont care obviously dont live around here. The 711 down the road closed because of them so salut to the workers putting up with them 24/7 i know i wouldnt be as friendly as them dealing with that all the time

Cheap gas amazing fried chicken and tons of stock that we normally don't get here in nanaimo and of course screamers!

Nice people 23 hour gas and food. They also have laundry facility that closes I believe at 11: 00 though

Lots of things available here, things you won't find at most gas stations. Great candy selection and soft serve ice cream.

Review of Chester Chicken at Canco gas station. I remember Chester Chicken from 20 years ago when I was in high school, so it's been around for a while. I've seen it in other provinces but it's not very common. When we found out Canco recently been offering Chester Chicken. It's my brother's birthday and he wanted fried chicken for dinner. We knew it was time to give it a try.

I ordered a 20 piece meal for $60 and dipping sauce extra 0.50 each (avoid). I was told by staff it would take 8 minutes for a fresh batch for the meal. I figured that was worth the wait, so while we waited the friendly staff offered us a sample of the chicken and mojo (potato wedges). There was also another customer after us waiting for their meal too. Long story short it took a little over 30 minutes for our meal as I checked the time on my phone for accuracy. If they gave me a more accurate wait time I would not have taken a star rating off.

As far as the food goes. The fried chicken is excellent as it tasted like KFC but with better chicken quality. Another thing we liked was the mojo (potato wedges) as it has the same batter as the fried chicken. Tons of flavors and textures, I recommend dipping the mojo in sour cream. The side salad was on the small side and was average. The dipping sauce was tiny and not worth paying extra for it.

I will return next time but I'll order an individual meal. They don't stock enough chicken for the bigger meal sizes and waiting over 30 minutes is too long. The gas station itself is very busy and they have a lot of blue collar to homeless customers who stop by while I wait. They also sell screamers (slushy with soft serve ice cream) which looks good. Overall a good food offering for a gas station, but wish they gave a more accurate wait time.

Chester's is back! I haven't seen a chester's chicken for 20 years and like my middle aged nostalgia it crept into town. But man am I glad it's here. Tastes just like I remember when I was a kid. Chester's at the canco puts everyone else to shame. If you haven't tried it you're missing out.

Really loving this gas station and store. I started going there a while back as it's on my way to work, and was truly blown away by the employees, literally all of them. They are so unbelievably welcoming, friendly, and they actually remember their returning customers, going out of their way to say hi and talk for a minute, which is something that is rare these days and I found truly refreshing coming from such a new establishment, and also for having such young employees as well. I really think we have a lot of places in and around town that could learn a thing or 5 about customer service, and just being a place people genuinely like going to from the Canco employees, and how they run the place. Was definitely an unexpected but welcomed surprise, and it shows in how busy they seem to be any time of the day! Keep it up guys and girls, you're killin' it!

Visited Canco location on Hwy 33 in Kelowna around 9 AM this morning. Young lady working in store was very professional, friendly, and had commanding knowledge about Canco Cash Program. Store was clean and well merchandised. Nice job all around.

Just saw a post that your employee’s hold minors in the store against their will to pay for rancid ice cream that is inedible. Cool. Duly noted.

Cool torches and unique smokers items. However, staff is not as friendly as one would hope. Not mean or rude, but just not very patient in respects to the homeless or less fortunate people.

Friendly service. Fill up daily. All I need in a gas station or convenience store is here. Great deal on fuel using the Canco card

Good deals on drinks and in store purchases, there is one guy, I think either owner or manager, who is super friendly and always smiling. Some of the other staff are less friendly but overall our go to gas station.

Love the location. When leaving Nanaimo and headed South it is a stop for all you have forgotten.
They are friendly and the prices aren't bad either.

Sorry Canco I'm just getting sick of doing things for other people when no one does a thing for me. I've had enough of it now, quit asking.
