Amazing food! Ryan was a fantastic server and the food was unreal too, highly recommend going, this place is a must go (and I’m not even a Mexican food kinda dude)

Impulse drop in for dinner. Service friendly (if understaffed but it was out of season). Tacos were great and Queso Fundido was the highlight.

First time visiting this location, I was disappointed as it wasn't nearly as good as the one in Nelson, B. C. The food and drink didn't live up to the other locations standard (especially the michelada, complete fail in Kelowna unfortunately, hopefully the bartender was just suffering an off night when I was there.) Might give them another shot if I pass through Kelowna.

This is a great place to take a date or partner who likes Mexican cuisine. That being said, the atmosphere seems more akin to what a younger generation would be drawn to. There is edgy artwork and photography on the walls, and the music isn't your stereotypical mariachi band. Upon entering the establishment, we were greeted by a gentleman who asked us if we had ever been to the restaurant before. His enthusiasm for the experience was contagious, and he seemed genuinely excited that this was our first time there. The food was tasty, but not out of this world good. The pico de gallo was just ok, as was the guacamole. I enjoyed my burrito as well, but perhaps because the flavors weren't those I anticipated, I found myself wishing for some of the flavors that I had become accustomed to. Either way, I would recommend that everyone passing through Kelowna give this place a shot, as the total package was an enjoyable experience.

Super nice restaurant but not very authentic Mexican experience. Food was cold.only thing we enjoyed was the queso fundido because it was actually hot and flavourful. And pricy for what it was. Honestly will not be coming back again,

We stopped in on a whim after reading some positive reviews on this restaurant. While it isn’t terrible, it certainly has a lot to improve on.

The restaurant itself is fairly clean, nice decor, and modern. It doesn’t feel very authentic - very Americanized-Mexican. This is not a bad thing as it contributes to the overall experience, however it seems very corporate.

The biggest downside here was the service. Incredibly slow, awkward, and unfriendly. There was around 4 front of house staff working (excluding the bar) and we were barely acknowledged. They could have gotten another two drinks out of us had they been able to check in on time. Not sure if this was due to scheduling/being busier than expected, however it was a Friday night and half empty, so it didn’t feel justified. Our server, while polite, was not around much, and did not seem very comfortable in her position.

The food was tasty, although fairly small portions for value. I believe this is due to the fact it is in a high traffic area which justifies the price, and while the food is certainly edible it is not as fantastic as the price and atmosphere would lead you to believe.

We would be open to trying this restaurant again in the future, however we will not be hurrying back based on the slow and impersonal service and the price v.quality offered

Food/Drinks great! Server unfortunately had made an excuse for an incorrect drink, saved 20% due to “food wait”

The food and atmosphere were amazing! Excellent enchiladas and wings. Service was pretty good. Would have benefited from a host to seat guests and if not, reservation signs might help for guests to know what tables are available. We noticed some customers were disappointed about seating availabilty/lack of signage. But mostly everyone seemed to be having a great time.

Service was terrible, our server only once and the place was mostly empty, still took her 20 minutes to talk to us to take our order and that was the last we saw of her. The tortillas weren't cooked which made the tacos dry and unpleasant, ND due to lack of service the food was tepid at best.
We just moved to Kelowna and this was our first time out, utterly dissapointing.

The food is fantastic. Ashley recommended the Baja shrimp tacos and steak burrito; both of us enjoyed our meals tremendously. The prices are really good as well.

This place was just ok. We were glad for the gluten free options. But $27 for the Nachos Grande is a complete joke. Boston pizza nachos are better than these. They used marble cheddar and only on the top chips. Sprayed a bit of sour cream here and there and that was it. The bottom chips were just chips and nothing else. I had the Baha tacos and they were ok. Hard to bite the tortilla and then the fish would shoot out the other side and made a mess all over. I wouldn’t get those again either. They were out of a lot of items and had items on the menu that waitress said they didn’t serve any more - yam fries. The Queso Fundito dip was mostly good but nothing to write home about. Pretty bland really. We wouldn’t go back especially at the prices they charge for not great food. Location is ok but lots of homeless and sketchy people around.

Cantina del Centro has a dedicated Gluten Free section in their kitchen. They take Celiac seriously. Better yet, the food is seriously good. Located on Bernard Avenue in downtown Kelowna. This was my first visit but I hope to become a "regular" in this place.

Great food here.tough to get in as it is that good. The service we had wasn't great though. I'm sorry to say. Slow and got orders wrong constantly.

We went back again last week. Aug. 7 2023. We started with a fantastic friendly guy serving us with what sounded like an Australian accent. He was great! He must have had to leave as we then had a girl who did not seem to want to be there. The service rating for the guy is a 5, the girl who seems to dislike her job brings it down.

Really great option for dinner and drinks in downtown Kelowna. There were lots of patio seats and even though it was a busy summer Friday night we got a table for 3 on the patio without a wait. Food was great. They use fresh flavourful ingredients. No frozen margs or pina coladas, the pina colada had real coconut shavings and I think fresh juice.

The service was extremely slow even though the place was about 1/3 full. From ordering to getting the food it took about 45 mins for 4 tacos.

The servers didn’t really check in at all. I’m not sure if they were too busy. We were on the outside patio and they didn’t appear to be checking on anyone out there.

The tacos were good over all. Portions were very small. I would say likely need 4-6 tacos per person. Think corn tortilla the size of a navel orange.

Might be better to try during the week. Definitely has potential.

Nicole is the best! We’re basically regulars there and she’s amazing every time. Fun friendly, and prompt.

Great Mexican spot by the water with amazing service. The food and the flavours are too good. Definitely try the avocado frito and the ceaser. Eleanor was a great help. Must try if you are in town.

The food was amazing, hands down one of the best authentic Mexican food places I’ve been to. Our waiter was awesome and he was super friendly/accommodating. The atmosphere inside and out is perfect for relaxing with your family. My kids could not get enough of the food either, they scarfed it down and even asked for more because of how good they said it was.
