Canton Garden

We ordered 5 dishes. Dish one arrive hot and tasty. We waited for the others feeling they would be arriving at the table soon. We had to flag down the waitress to see how much longer it would be as we had waited for awhile. When the other 4 dishes arrived they were hot and good. No one ever came by to see if we needed anything or if we needed anything. At the end of the meal, waiting for our bill we were told the last dish was (DimSum) takes along time and did we still want to wait. NO. We had been there for about an hour.

Service was great but all food ordered was bland and extremely watery - no flavour at all. Some of the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had.

Enjoy their food. The service is good. It's obvious people like Canton's, they are busy all the time with dine in customers and their phone is constantly ringing from people calling for take out orders. As busy as they are you get your order in a timely manner. Go there at least twice a month and more when we can.

The Cantonese crispy noodles is good. The dim sum options were sparse but it hit the spot. Not a fan of the soup dumplings or vinegar sauce here, it was quite sour. Staff was nice.

I've been going here once a month for nearly 30 years and have never had a bad experience.the staff is friendly the food is good and chuck is a very nice guy.

The Sweet and Sour Pork lacked the tangy zing I was hoping for, and the pork pieces were chewy, like they'd been slow-cooked in sadness.

Chicken corn soup a bit expensive but very good. Prices have gone away up so we can't afford to dine out a often.

Ordered takeout on a Sunday as our go-to places in town were closed. Though the employee answering the phone was very nice, the food was quite disappointing.

The way they prepared some of their dishes was quite strange. Fried rice that didn't really taste fried, without peas and carrots. Proteins added on top of the fried rice and chow mein instead of incorporated in. Egg rolls with a thick batter instead of a fried wrapper (my niece thought they were potatoes from the shape and size of them).

Anyways, it was the sort of dining experience where you check the reviews afterwards because you know there will be some interesting comments.

We have been going to this restaurant for a long time. Tonight our chowmein was just warm and over cooked. Egg roll was soggy. Must have been warmed in the microwave. Chicken balls were soggy. Very disappointed. Won't be having Chinese food there again

My son Nixon and I eat here routinely, the staff and owner are all above and beyond the nicest people. The food is always fabulous. Definitely the place to go for excellent food, reasonable prices and wonderful staff. Thank you Canton.

Really good food and service. My chow mein was actually a little bit cold otherwise it was delicious. Nice decor and atmosphere and friendly staff.

Absolutely worst food I've ever had at any restaurant ever, sent it back to the kitchen as I refused to eat it. I wouldnt even feed that food to my dog. Order 2 number 2 single dinner combos, noodles in the chow mein were like week old noodles out of campbells chicken noodle soup, almond chicken was extremely overcooked, fried rice was stone cold and probably a day or 2 old and the sweet and sour pork was just sour, like gone rotten sour. Save yourself the trouble and go to literally any other restaurant but here

Was shocked to find out how expensive my take out order was. Prices have drastically increased recently. My total was $93 for 2 order of breaded almond chicken, 2 orders of chicken chow mein, 1 order of sweet n sour chicken balls, and 1 consommé soup. This use to cost me $60. I cannot justify paying almost $100 for this order, which unfortunately means we cannot eat here more than once or twice a year now. Bummer. Guess I’ll be trying other Chinese food establishments now, that are more cost friendly.

U have got to kidding This is the worst so called Chinese food I ever tried Chow Mein is not topped with dry ramen noodles andwith dry sliced chicken slices on it No Oriental sauce or veg Chinese food does not come with little saucers of “ gravies “ Chop Suey is not a Chinese dish and appears in every combination dinners offered I ate there before Covid and food was outstanding This offering of what they call Chinese food is a joke and a deceit for all who go to eat 8 yrs of Oriental cooking classes in San Francisco believe I am shocked at what is offered here

Nothing better then any other greasy chinese food. The price is obscene. Ordered dinner for 3 and spent almost 90 dollars. None of the veggies where fresh. I won’t be going back.

My neighbour raves about this place so much I had to give it a try. Let's just say my family asked me to never order from here again.

Food was very bland, and the almond chicken tasted musty like old cooking oil. Do not recommend.

While being new to Chilliwack. We have tried 3 different Chinese food places. And as we are still looking for a place that meets our expectations. Canton Gardens was by far the worst of the worst. And while encumbering a 150 dollar food bill, I must say that we are rather disappionted. Our advise, keep looking.

Good food and good staff, but slow to get food and as others have said, prices are way out of line. Most plates are 18 to 20 bucks each.

Absolutely flavourless and tasteless food. Ordered the basics - chicken fried rice, chicken chowmein, spring roll. Spring roll was dripping in oil with a weird flavour. I don’t even want to start about the fried rice and chowmein. I make better Chinese at home. Don’t waste your money here.

Went in on a Sunday evening for dinner and the poor waitresses were running they were understaffed, very much like most places I've been to with this pandemic. But our waitress was nothing less than amazing. Always had a smile for everyone even though you could see she was rushed. Food was great, service was incredible! Made a point to let her know that we appreciated it.

Our server was extremely friendly and accommodating, and the food was nice. Came here on other peoples' recommendation, awesome first impression!

Second time in a row the s&s chicken balls had hard and dry chicken inside and the honey garlic pork was hard and dry, the rest of the order was good but ruined the meal with the hard dry meat

Forgot to take a photo of our food. We were so hungry we just got right into it. We ordered a dinner for two which could easily serve three and a wee one. Their dried garlic boneless pork is my favorite. With all meals you receive a beef consomé soup. Service is fabulous and attentive. Very clean restaurant, covid rules were still active when we went. You do get a choice of two types of noodles to have with your chow mein, thin or thick. The food is very flavorful, no gumminess to it. We are repeat customers but not regulars as we do live outside of Chilliwack.

We order take out regularly. We have for over 20 years. We always found Canton to be reasonably priced, but our last order, we ordered 2x almond guy ding, beef and broccoli, and 2 x chicken balls and the price came to $93.00. We get a $7.00 delivery charge added in there but this latest increase in prices.have literally out done us. Good food, but far too expensive.

We went to this restaurant twice. First time food was hard and not very good. We gave it a second chance thinking it may have been a one off. Food this time was tasteless, hard and we wondered about how long it had been sitting around before they served it to us. Mow while driving past we now wonder how this restaurant still exists.

The 1st time we had it was great and delicious, the 2nd time wasn't. So maybe a 3 time will be better than before. I'm all about giving chances to people to prove me that they're the best place. I want to Support this business being successful with also producing delicious food.

Food was delicious everything was perfect. We got the dinner for one number 2, wor wonton and the black bean tofu dish. Very good will be going there again.

The wife loves their green beans in black bean sauce! Go prepared as they're always busy, but they always greet us with a smile

The BEST Chinese food in chilliwack. We've lived here almost 1 year and haven't been able to find good chinese. This is it! Really good, and super nice staff.

Friendly, courteous, accomidating staff. Great food and service. Amanda escorted us to a dining room table as we got inside; they were busy installing new floors.

First time and last time. Terrible. 4 dishes picked up Sunday night. First - there was so much salt it was almost not edible what we managed to keep down. The chicken cashew dish itself was inedible and went into the garbage. The chicken balls were passable. But the fried rice and pork, and beef broccoli were huge let downs. Never again.

This is the 3rd time in a row getting beyond sub par food.
The noodles are over cooked and no seasoning
The sweet and sour pork was old, cold and reheated by the cooks. Cold in the inside hot on the outsides.
You charge big prices yet don't fill the containers!
No more!

If you do not want to control.your kitchen and hire cooks that reflect your prices, sadly I am no longer buying food from you.

So good! First time I've ordered from them. Delivery was about 30 mins, delivery guy wore a mask.
10/10 would recommend the stir fried tofu in black bean sauce!

Clean restaurant with healthy distancing. The service was great and the food was as we had expected, delicious, appropriately priced with full portion meals. Thank-you for a great dining experience.

We've ordered food from Canton's Gardens several times over the past few years. Some of the issues we've experienced are; S & S Pork very fatty and tough, S & S Sauce missing on one order, Almond Chicken over-cooked, food not hot and more.

I totally understand that the Pandemic has hit some restaurants hard and I feel for them.

However, having said that, Canton has increased their food prices and now give less food on take-outs. Our last two orders the Chicken Chow Mein has mainly noodles, very little Chicken and no veggies at all. No comparison to my home-made Chicken Chow Mein.

We've decided that after too many issues it's now time to move on and find another place to bring our business to. I must add that the staff are great and the restaurant is nice inside. It's just too bad that the take-out containers are now smaller. P. S. If ordering take-out, Check your order before paying.

I enjoy the Cantonese noodles. Portion is good and the ingredients are fresh. So far the best Chinese Food I tried in Chilliwack. I will patronize the restaurant again.

Our server was amazing her name is jen.came in a peek dinner hour she served up so amazingly and nice every tho she was swamped.food was AMAZING so happy to have found our new fave place

I ordered a beef and broccoli and sweet and sour pork. It was the most delicious Chinese I've had since my childhood. The appearance of the food matched it's taste. I even took a photo of the food before I ate it because I felt proud of having it all to myself lmao! I had it delivered. It came quick. Overall worth going in for the experience!

Noodles dry.too much msg.definately not like it was pre-covid.higher prices and poor quality.so very dissappointed.will not go back.
