Cardero's Restaurant

Service was great, food not so much, prices are way up, ridiculous prices, $ 20 or more for a glass of vino or $52 for a 7oz steak, was not busy, no wander, people now days can not afford to eat out. Locals love the location but prices just keep on climbing. I wander whom are they trying to attract? I remember when Cardero was a joy to be in and food was delicious……

Reservations can be made via the website. The website has a link to the OpenTable app, and you can make reservations there. You’ll also reminder for the reservation via text message too. This is easily the best restaurant in Vancouver. Cedar salmon tastes good, but I wished there weren’t veggies in the fried rice. I couldn’t find Diet Coke in the menu though.

We have been going here for 20 years and has yet to disappoint.
We had a nice relaxing time, no rush by the staff. Our Waiter was excellent, he was engaging and put up with my silly humor. Food was really good with nice portions. Good date night place. Just beware that the food prices are not for the faint of heart.

Wonderful service, delicious food, fun atmosphere. Happy, boisterous, space, can be bit loud. The pub side is cosy with sports screens and restaurant side is like a classic grill.

We always love dining at Carderos because of the excellent food, the jaw dropping view, and the great service. Three of us went for a celebratory birthday dinner. Our favorite dish is the wok squid but it's a little pricey at $19 but well worth it. We also had the fried oysters which were crispy and tasty at $17 and there were about 6 of them. For drinks we ordered my favorite Blue Mountain Brut for $74 bottle and a black manhattan at $13. Since we were there on a Sunday, 2 of us had their prime rib ($42 each) with yukon gold mash, broccolini, and a huge yorkshire pudding along with their deliciously flavorful au jus. Because we like our prime rib rare, we always ask for the au jus on the side so it doesn't further cook the meat.my husband had the sockeye salmon on cedar along with some fried rice and broccolini for $36. The prime rib is outstanding, so so tender and beautifully cooked full of flavor. It was also a good portion.at least 10 oz. I would give my prime rib 20/10! The sockeye salmon was a little on the overdone side and not much taste to it. I think it would tastes a lot better if it had some sort of seasoning or marinade? For dessert we shared one piece of the ice lemon cake made with lemon sorbet with a lemon curd and meringue at $13.i love the crust since it was a hazelnut base. Very delicious and refreshing end to our prime rib meal.

Our server, Katey, was excellent, attentive, and had a great smile all the time. The restaurant was quite warm since we sat at the windows and it was a hot day so when I mentioned it to the manager, he took the initiative to set us up with a fan infront of our table immediately. What excellent service!

Our meal for the 3 of us came to about $280 before tips and taxes. Not a cheap meal but a very delicious memorable meal that is worthy of every penny.

We will continue to dine at Cardero's if their food quality and service continue to shine! Thank you to the brilliant chefs in the kitchen and everyone out front for bringing such top notch quality of food and service to all the diners!

Amazing timing and atmosphere was a little warm inside but I think we stayed there on a very warm day! Loved everything there but especially her service with friendly attitude! Manager on duty was also very friendly and hospitable! Must go again!

Signature squid from the wok is a must try. Or don't, live your life. But I like it. Prawn sizzle is great, all the food is good or better. Price is is in line with the experience, severs are very good, courteous and have always given great recommendations of unsure.

One of my favorite dishes is the tuna with mixed salad but there are probably a hundred more items on the menu I love. People come from all over Metro Vancouver and beyond to enjoy the delicious meals and drinks this iconic place has to offer including breath taking view of yachts, Burrard Inlet and, of course, the Northshore mountains. This place is professionally managed and every employee is polite and friendly.
I have been visiting this place for years on a regular basis. Highly recommend.

It has been ages since I last came to this restaurant and it was nice to go again. They have a great menu especially if you like seafood like I do and they did not disappoint at all. They really look after you in regards to social distancing and such. I was happy to have made it here again.

Wonderful food, me and the family visited Cardero’s multiple times on the trip to Vancouver.
Had the Sable fish the first time and the Mediterranean prawns and scallops the second night.
Both I would highly recommend, absolutely delicious!

Cardero’s like an old classic pub, with the food quality of a decent restaurant, which isn’t a typical combination. It’s a casual setting thats great for a first date or to just hang with friends.

We went on Sunday and they were playing live music, which made it even more fun! We got the curry muscles and they were pretty good, I especially loved the curry sauce with the bread. It’s a coconut based curry that doesn’t overpower the muscles, yet hits all the right spots. The smoke salmon pizza was more like a flatbread, and I think it worked better that way. It was relatively filling and reminded me of your typical cream cheese, smoked salmon and caper bagel! Lastly, the brocollini was pretty basic but they did a good job of pairing it with the parmesan sprinkle on top - added good flavour.

Overall, no complaints about the food and I’d say it’s worth the price. It’s not cheap, but it’s also not your typical bar food. I would probably come here for their seafood, the great location along the Seawall and just a casual vibe if you’re feeling lazy!

The food at Cardero’s was spot on amazing! The decor and scenery were nice both inside and out. The view was also nice. The service was excellent and the waitress and managers went above and beyond to provide great service with delicious food to their customers. Will definitely be coming back and recommending this restaurant as a must go to in Vancouver.

This place is amazing and every time I head in my mouth starts watering! The food is amazing and customer service is superb, been around for many years and pray it will be around for many more to come!

This place is fantastic. We sat at the bar with great views of the harbour and marina boats through the wall to ceiling windows. I had the fried oysters which came with two great sauces then the scallops & prawns on quinoa. I've had scallops & prawns plenty of times but this was the best ever. My wife had the prawn dumplings which came with the spiciest mustard which we were delighted with. I don't normally do dessert but my wife got me to try the cream brûlée and then I couldn't stop myself. It was a great lunch!

We stopped in here after biking around the sea wall and were able to get in right away on a Friday afternoon. Atmosphere and food were great. Service was also very prompt and the food was delicious (mussels & truffle fries).

Was Staying at Bayside. Called a few times to place order for pickup. When someone finally answered the phone we were told they weren’t taking pick up orders right now and to call back latter to try again. Very disappointed.

I live a block from this restaurant and have been here tens of times. Service in this location has been gone down the drain slowly. 8 of us Last night went to this place and service was so bad that we had to get up and leave to go another restaurant.
I will never go here again. The main problem i believe is old gentleman who I think was shift manager.

Be aware that the Salmon Burger at $19.50 is falsely advertised as Salmon. In addition to describing the Salmon Burger they also describe it as “Lois Lake steelhead”. This is in fact farmed trout raised in Lois Lake a fresh water lake near Powell River. It
Is NOT Salmon.

Front door host was meh (Manuel), food was great, our server Cody was fantastic and the live music was a good bonus. The cocktails are exceptional. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was the lack of air flow / AC. It’s 30+ degrees in Vancouver right now, and it was a sweat shop in there. I’m sure it’s fantastic when it’s not this hot.

Conveniently located restaurant downtown on the waterfront next to the marina.

We were visiting so didn't book in advance. Although it was very busy, the front of house staff squeezed us in after a short wait. We sat outside on the patio, which is heated for cooler nights and you also get offered a blanket!

The staff, service and food are first class. They've thought of everything and take extremely good care of you! Nothing is too much trouble and staff are very attentive without being over bearing!

We highly recommend this place, especially if you enjoy seafood. They have some amazing seafood platters! We definitely plan to eat here again when we're next in Vancouver.

We are new to the Vancouver area. We hoped to have a lovely family dinner by the water, and Cardero’s is situated right at the marina, offering a lovely view of the mountains and boats. But that’s not why we are rating the 5 Stars.

We were hoping to get a seat at Cardero’s, but without a reservation you won’t be able to get in. They only allow for cancellations. Normally this would be a downside, resulting in a loss of points, but it’s ambience looked really nice and the staff were very courteous. But that’s not why we are rating the 5 Stars.

No, we are rating the 5 Stars because my wife accidentally lost her $2000 bracelet while waiting in the front foyer. It had slipped off her wrist, and we went the whole night without even realizing it.

Someone on the Cardero’s staff must have found it and held onto it for safekeeping until I called them the following day!

The staff at Cardero’s are the most honest people we have ever had the luxury of meeting. One day we will find the time to get a reservation there, and we will thank them again!

Wonderful dinner here. Cocktails are good and food is delicious. They have lots of gluten free options if you have allergies. Only thing is we didn’t make a reso and it was packed on a Friday night, our fault but would’ve been nice to have an actual seat instead of sitting at the bar.

Horrible Hostess. Doesn't know how to give alternatives or offer solutions to customer. Unfriendly, unaccommodating, and prejudiced restaurant.

Prior to our trip to Vancouver we tried to call and make reservations. The person on the phone told us they could not make a reservation for us and advised we just walk in an take our chances.

Monday evening around 8: 30pm we showed up but the hostess wasn't able to give us table, understandably, as the restaurant was full.

The next afternoon at 3: 30pm we stopped by to get a table, witnessed that the restaurant had lots of empty tables and asked them to hold 2 tables to accommodate our group of seven people - with the understanding that they cannot sit more than 6 people per table - and that we would return within 30-45 minutes.well before the dinner rush would start. The hostess seemed to be hung up on the fact that we have seven people even though I explained that we do not expect to sit altogether. She was very unhelpful and refused to hold any tables for us and once again said we needed to return later and take our chances - despite the fact that three gentlemen in front of me indicated that they had a reservation and were seated promptly and with respect.

It seems the hostess was either very inexperienced or simply uninterested in doing her job as a hostess - which, you would think, requires a focus on being hospitable, welcoming and figuring out ways to accommodate groups of respectable people who have the desire and ability to pay for a decent meal at a nice restaurant.

I've eaten at this restaurant many times in the past while in Vancouver on business and was looking forward to introducing the restaurant to my family while visiting Vancouver on vacation as a way to show off some of the beauty of the city but this kind of treatment is a real turn off and and makes me want to look elsewhere for a great meal in Vancouver.and there are plenty of places to choose from. So, unless you like dealing with unhelpful, useless hostesses then I suggest you go elsewhere.

Great atmosphere for a dining experience! Their decor is very appropriate for a restaurant on the marina, with details like boats and planes hanging from the ceiling. The food was good but it’s the service that really wow’d us. All the staff were so kind and attentive, from the host, the server, all the way to the manager who even stopped to ask how our dinner went. We mentioned that a lot of mussels were just empty shells and that the portion for ice cream compared to the brownie could’ve been more generous. Overall, very happy with our experience at Cardero’s and would definitely visit again!

Excellent visit. Solid service by Cody. Food was amazing and my wife and I really enjoyed the mussels. She almost drank all of the soup!

Love the food here. Had one of their chilled seafood towers the other day (can't remember the name) with shellfish and it was killer. The truffle fries are massive too.went perfectly with the seafood tower

Great customer service and a ton of options! Really enjoyed their flash fried squid. I had their steak for an entree, and they cooked it to perfection, although I have had much better steaks from other restaurants. (Caeser's Steakhouse, and modern steak house in Alberta were absolutely outstanding). I had a good experience and would definitley return to Carderos again.

It is so hot and uncomfortable in this building I looked around and dozens of people were fanning themselves. The owner must be really cheap! We were there for lunch today and our server told us the A/C has been broken all summer! Thats terrible! Whoever owns this place should be ashamed of themselves. I can't even remember what I ate. I melted before my lunch hit the table.
