Casbah Day Spa

It was my first time at this spa today. This place is amazing, staff is polite and helpful. I got the 90 min comatose massage with Manjeet, I highly recommend her. She did such an amazing job! It felt like a massage instead of someone just rubbing your back with oil, she had great pressure and worked ALL my nots. The only thing I wished was for the table to be warm. Other than that I have zero recommendations.
I showed up 1.5 hours early to enjoy the steam room, which I did, for a full hour. For the entire duration I was the only one in the steam room. It was fantastic. About 20 min before my massage I got in the shower to rinse off after which I proceeded into the relaxation room for some more complimentary coconut water and their signature tea. Before I knew it, it was time for my massage. After my massage I went into the sauna for 20 min, which you have to prebook when you book your appointment. It's a one person sauna with a slide lock. It was perfect, I enjoyed the privacy. They provide shampoo, conditioner, a blow drier, hairspray and many more items. You get your own locker with a private code that you generate once you are asigned your locker. After the massage you receive complimentary wine. 10 out of 10. I was there from 945am till 2pm lol it is safe to say, I have found my new place. Absolute heaven. I'm looking forward to trying other treatments as well.

Disappointed honestly. I had an apt in anticipation for a holiday event and understand that people get sick but 15 minutes advance notice to my apt is not cool. Also the follow up automated email about “how great was your visit? ” incensed this review. So irritating after being so irritated.

I enjoyed a very pampering massage and facial with Joley on my birthday. Such a treat. Joley provided a relaxing treatment and it’s evident she is very experienced. My skin glows. I feel like a million bucks. I’m now a VIP member.

Thank you Rippan for a great pedicure and manicure session. It was such a relaxing and fun time. Loved the hot stone massage and paraffin wax treatment at the end!

I love this spa for massages and facials, however I was disappointed with a manicure I received there. My gel nails chipped after only 2 days. I am not sure if the product or the way it was applied was the issue but when paying twice the usual price for a gel manicure I expect them to last a bit longer!

When I made my appointment for a hydrafacial this week I was told the treatment was about an hour long. This was my 2nd Hydrafacial at Casbah and indeed the one I had in Feb 2023 would have been close to the hour as quoted and involved several different steps and applications. Today I was bounced out in less than 30 minutes and charged 199.00. This is an absolute rip-off and the last time I will be going to Casbah for a facial. Very disappointing as I have been a customer since they opened many years ago.

Awful experience trying to spoil my person with a massage and facial, only to find out they didn’t have the information of my payment on file and charged my card without my permission, made our experience one of the worst ones on bday day. If you want to spoil your loved one go somewhere else, this place does not treat people well.

Showers in locker room are nice and private, and free toiletries include all that’s needed for a shower; a shave; and a hairstyle after a shower, or just after a treatment) Selfies in locker room are encouraged.

I was dissatisfied with the service I got. I made an appointment to get make up applied for my birthday party. I made it very clear to the make up artist as to what I wanted. I gave a very simple reference picture. However I left the appointment with most of my makeup removed because she did not apply it how I requested. She said that she was used to doing a full glam look, despite me requesting before the appointment started that I do not like full glam.

The make up artist was nice and did ask me often how the look was coming along which I appreciated; however, everytime I corrected her, she would make the same mistake. I was told that the application process would take about an hour to an hour and a half. But because of this it lasted two hours which put me in a time crunch to get to the event. After I walked out I came back in immediately because the make up did not suit me at all. My face was really washed out my eyes seemed to appear small because she did a dark Smokey eye look, despite me requesting not to do that (repeatedly) I lhad to get most of it removed because the entire application process took much longer than what I was told. So I left the spa with most of my makeup off except for eyeliner and some eyeshadow.

I called and requested to speak to either a manager or supervisor the following day to see if perhaps I could get a partial refund because I did not get the service I paid for ($80). I was told that a manager was going to call me the following day because she had already left. I did not hear back from the manager so I followed up and when I got in touch with her I was informed that make up services are non-refundable. I was not informed about this policy prior to my appointment. I explained the entire incident however the manager was very dismissive and tried to justify what had happened. She offered a 10% discount on a different service; however, I do not trust the services provided at the spa due to the poor experience and the dismissive attitude given by Manager. I would not suggest getting a make up application done from the spa. I can’t say anything about the other services as I have not done them so I would suggest you rely on other reviews for that.

I am so impressed with this beautiful and professional spa! You don’t need to travel downtown Vancouver to receive this kind of experience! I have had the signature facial twice now by two different estheticians and both were fantastic! Thankyou so very much!

My wife and I had a couple's massage and the service was great. Staff are friendly and provide a relaxing and professional service. Highly recommend Casbah for all your spa needs.

An unfortunate massage experience led to lackluster customer service. Would be willing to try again there if not for the disappointing efforts by management to make things right.

Booked an appointment using their online portal. Only for them to call me to tell me they apparently don’t have rooms. Maybe I should have charged them a cancelation fee. Save your time and money go elsewhere they may cancel on you last minute.

I had a fabulous experience for my birthday! Heidi gave an impeccable massage treatment, and my husband was treated to a fabulous pedicure with Ana. I highly recommend adding on the brown sugar scrub to your massage, it leaves the skin feeling like silk! Also was greeted and shown to the lockers rooms/given my robe and instructions by Abbey (I believe!) who was beyond welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. Overall a 5 star experience for sure!

I had a mani pedi at my favourite spa- casba spa. I had them done by Rachel who did an awesome job as usual!

I've been receiving the most amazing body wraps from Heidi for well over a year now. There so amazing I'm now seeing Heidi twice a month and also seeing good results. If you visit Casbah, definitely request Heidi for your body wraps you won't be disappointed.

I probably wouldn’t go back. I booked the Lomi Lomi massage because on the website it goes deep into how it’s a spiritual practice & listed all the benefits and process of the treatment. But my massage therapist only was rubbing oil very lightly on my body and was barely massaging me for the whole hour.

The ambiance of the place is beautiful, I just didn’t feel very welcomed by the Staff as I was receiving some weird stares from the workers and didn’t feel like it was a very welcoming nice environment.

Waxing was amazing, will be my go to for sure.
Pedicure was just ok. For $100 ill pass on going back for it.

I had a great refresher facial with Lauren! She was very kind and provided a very relaxing environment. The girl at the front desk was also very sweet and welcoming!

I have been here a few times for a body wrap which i highly reccomend. Very relaxing. The spa is always clean and smells good. Staff have always been friendly and welcoming.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Cashbah cancelled my mom's birthday massage on the day of our appointment due to short staff. So unprofessional and unacceptable

I have been to this spa many times. It is not just a treatment but a relaxing experience. Makes sure you have time to enjoy the steam sauna and some relaxation after your treatment with a glass of wine.

Heidi was amazing, she made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. She is very sweet, friendly and personable. All the staff was very friendly from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out!

Today I had my first service at Casbah. I got the CBD pedicure done by Claire. It was so relaxing and fantastic. She went above and beyond to make sure my toes looked gorgeous. I WILL be back for other services!

The visit was nice but the lady who scrubbed my arms and legs with brown sugar as a part of the appointment went too harsh and I got abrasions on them that still haven't fully healed 2 weeks after the fact. My limbs felt okay during the appointment but later that night, they started turning red, inflamed, and itched uncontrollably in exactly only the parts that were touched.

I took a signature facial from casbah day spa, I loved it so much, so comfortable and so relaxation. And Anna gave me facial service, she is very nice and she has magic in her hands, thnx Anna thnx casbah day spa

Disappointed
Received a wonderful $50 gift certificate to try it. Ended up paying over $100 more for a very basic mani/pedi. It was supposed to be an express but it took 90 minutes. I still had my pants rolled up to my knees and Kleenex between my toes after I paid so had to ask for help (wet nails and am unable to bend). No arm or leg massage given (I’ve always received that at other places) was offered a nice cup of tea which was cold because the candle warmer had burnt out long before. Drank it anyway. There’s more but enough to say I won’t return.

I had RMT massage she was really good and they are very busy to make an other appointment you have to wait for two months but it was good.

The most excellent experience. I originally booked this appointment to bring my mom for a CBD massage. She is really suffering from major arthritic pain and is waiting for hip surgery. I was hoping that it would help her a little bit. She was amazed at the massage, how good it felt and on top of all that, she was able to walk without her cane when she got up off the bed. I was so very happy that it worked and she was happy. She slept that night for the first time in 6 months! My deep tissue massage was amazing and the service and care that we were given was outstanding. I will be going back with my husband and my mom is planning on bringing my dad. Highly recommend!

I have only been to this spa two times over the last three years (due to Covid) but each time, I have received an amazing professional and quality service. The spa has a lovely soothing relaxing waiting room, an eucalyptus steam room and sauna that can be booked ahead to use. I had an hour long massage which was incredible. I have already booked my next appointment.

Treated myself to a spa day at 38 weeks pregnant. Everything was relaxing and staff was kind and accommodating.

Relaxing visit. Quiet. Always a positive experience. Over the years I don't ever remember being dissatisfied in any way.

Recently we had a hydrafacial with tired eye add on. While the staff was professional, the light basic facial that is provided is NOT worth the price. It felt like a basic exfoliation and for two people the results are not worth the $550 paid. Really disappointed. We didn't expect a miracle but also didn't expect such low results. It is basically a facial scrub and eyecream for 30 mins and you're charged enormously for it. A basic $109 facial will give the same result. Not worth it! PS: no one reached out to me

Casbah has been a go-to spa experience for me for a few years now. They always provide the best service and products. I walk away each time relaxed and feeling awesome. I like to get their add-ons to the facials as that allows you to experience other products they have that you may not always consider on your own time. Also they always have something small for you to take home and try!

Dry sauna, Steam room, showers, a lounge where they treat you with beverages and snacks.plus the actual facials, pedicures, massages etc. It was a really relaxing experience.

With a weeks notice they were able to get myself and my 3 girlfriends scheduled for a 90 minute Signature Facial. It was amazing! The little extras like the back and leg massage were great, but the real winner for all of us was the back scrub.heavenly! This will be our new "go to" for our girls days.

Went for a Signature Pedicure as a treat for my birthday. Great ambiance, friendly staff and one of the best pedicures I have ever had. The massages by hand and with the stones felt so good and then finishing off with the paraffin wax was heavenly.

Excellent Spa, the massage therapist was really good and professional.
The only reason I didn't give it a 5 stars would be that the space allocated for men (called coed) is way too small and does not provide any privacy or space to get changed.

A good looking and well laid out spa! I had my first visit there and really liked the ambiance and range of products they carried. The lady at reception explained the process and off I went for my services. I had to wait a bit in the relaxation lounge but I won’t let that mar the overall experience! The range of services is good however coming down to my services - signature facial and massage - overall good but felt the girl was new and I could not feel a confidence in her hands when she worked on my body and face … she followed all the steps but I just felt she was not invested - there is a difference when you just love to do what you do vs you do it because it’s your job! I am going back because I want to try a different aesthetician!

I’ve been coming to casbah for a while now and I’m never disappointed with any of the services I’ve booked (facial, massage, waxing). It’s all great, I even did my 30th bday here last year (during the pandemic) and they were amazing! Shout out to Tara! She’s been doing my waxing and she’s always kind and patient!

I always treat myself to the signature pedicure at least once a year. You leave feeling completely relaxed and your feet look and feel amazing! They are professional and want to make sure you are 100% satisfied. I recently had a pedicure and when I left the salon, I realized I wasn’t happy with the color on my toes. They fit me in the next day for a polish change at no extra cost

I got the Signature Facial ad I always do. It is quite seriously THE best service I’ve had at any spa! It is essentially a full body massage and facial. This time I was able to receive a promotion with Babor products and went home with products to try at home too. Casbah is safe during this pandemic. They are hygienic, professional and skilled. I have gone to Casbah for massages and Heidi is my favorite! The massages are always so relaxing and the perfect amount of pressure. My husband also goes to Heidi to help with his back pain and he loves going to her as well.

In spite of covid, the Casbah continues to provide all spa treatments in a safe, professional way. Love their massages - so good I booked another before I left. This was my third visit to casbah in last three years. My very first visit was equally pleasant as my recent one but don't know how i skipped writing a review.
Anyways, please don't miss enjoying their services if you are in the city. You step into a different world here. Even though its in the middle of the city and in a busy plaza but once the doors of the spa closes behind you, the noises of world also shut down. (maybe thats just me)
I was excited for cbd oil body massage coupled with derma facial. I just love pampering myself and they provide the means to you. First you are greeted, and then taken to change room/locker room. You get your locker with a key, a cosy and warm bathrobe, slippers and anything else like a rubber band or face mask. The bathroom has toilet and showers. Vanity has all the required items like a blow dry, roller, pins and stuff.
Change and be seated in the relaxing lounge to have a cup of tea or wine until ur esthetician comes to take you to your room for services.
Omg, my esthetician was having the most soft hands i ever felt. She was very professional and did good job. Whole experience was relaxing and smooth. Massage bed is heated and they don't uncover your whole body but parts by parts to massage so you are warm and covered the whole time (letting the shy people know that). They have cool range of products to pick from and also they would suggest if that suits your skin type. Once your service is done, you can still relax m chill in the lounge and pay to leave whenever you are ready. I haven't tried anything else there but they do have manicures, pedicures and make up application counter apart from facials and massages so check th out.

Had a "Sister's Day" and decided to go for a mani-pedi. Upgraded to a Signature Mani and Pedi for minimal $$. SOOO worth it. The sugar scrub, paraffin wax and massage turned us into "noodles" when it was all done. What a way to relax. Also COVID protocol was in place; masks worn by everyone (or shields), plexi glass separation between clients and aestheticians, stations were sanitized before and after use, hand sanitation was required upon entry as was distancing. The staff are always kind and ensure you are well taken care of.

Excellent service keeping in mind the safety and well-being of customers during Covid 19. Very professional and therapists know there work well. Will recommend this place very highly

When you are guided to leave the entrance shop, you are immediately into a calm, relaxing and peaceful setting. I felt I was floating on air by the time my facial was over.

I went to Casbah Day Spa last weekend on a referral from a friend. I was super excited to find out they have an infrared sauna and steam room. I bought a package for the sauna/steam and it included a facial. The facial was amazing- I forgot how much I loved them. Lauren was very nice and did a fabulous job. I will definitely see her again. I can’t wait to go back for my manicures and pedicures too. The Spa is beautiful and the staff are very welcoming and professional. Five star experience!

That said.had the most Awesome experience yesterday when I went in for a Signature Mani and Pedi! Was Sooooo relaxed I actually fell asleep at one point during the “Pedi”!
I will DEFINATELY “remember” my gift card and use it to book again! Even without - it was so very worth the $! Just what I needed in these busy times - a time to just “breath”, “relax” and be “Pampered” in a safe environment! Thanks Ladies!

It was wonderful experience. Staff are professional and friendly. Salon was very clean and sanitize with all CO-VID precautions taken. All aspects of the procedure were explained. Looking forward to the next experience.
