Absolutely phenomenal

I shared the duck confit, the pirate spiced rum chai and the KFC Dutch baby pancakes with fried chicken

The food was delicious and perfectly seasoned, lots of flavor combinations and fusions that came through well together

My only feedback would be to make the spiked chai have more tea/chai spice to complement the addition of the rum

Overall my new favorite brunch spot based on my first experience!

It was our second time here for lunch and we weren’t disappointed. We shared the Burger with Truffle fries and Pulled Pork Benny. Here’s our rating based on dine-in lunch:

Food: 5/5 – great value. Fresh food and good-sized portions. Good selection of breakfast choices, lunch, salads, and waffles.
Service: 4/5 – servers asked us a couple of times if we needed anything
Atmosphere: 5/5 – clean with a great vibe for get-togethers with family or friends, and meetings
Parking: 3/5 – a bit of a challenge as it’s near Lonsdale Quay. We parked off of 3rd & Lonsdale.
Location: 4/5 – close to SeaBus, and bus. They’re across the street from the Quay

2023 update. Nice new feeling, great service, wonderful presentation, all great except a little chilly, turn off the AC on Oct evening.

Stopped in for a quick traditional breakfast and all went as expected, good people watching as well.

Excellent Chicken & Waffles; a mixture of soft, crispy, sweet & savoury. Our party enjoyed our time immensely. Coffee was burnt.

$40.00 for a piece of chocolate ganache cake and overly complicated tequila drink… just hurts. Price is tax and tip.

On a sunny Sunday afternoon, I stumbled upon Catch restaurant while looking for a place to dine out. It turned out to be one of the most impressive dining experiences I've had recently.

The staff who guided us to our table and took our orders were exceptionally kind, a rarity these days. This alone makes me want to revisit. We ordered three dishes and when we mentioned we'd like to share, they promptly brought three plates.

Overall, the setting was clean and inviting. The flavors of the food were rich and delightful, providing immense satisfaction throughout the meal. After leisurely enjoying our food, we took a stroll around the area, capping off a thoroughly delightful Sunday lunch.

This is definitely a restaurant I'd love to visit again.

Nice clean restaurant with a happy shiny finish that served us a great burger with truffle fries today. There are lots of places to eat in this fascinating Shipyard District, but keep this one high on your list. Their menu is aimed at brunch but the burger we shared on potato bread was perfect for a late lunch.

I ordered the classic brunch, the smoke taste wasn't good at all. The portin and presentation was good though.

Went all tthe way home and no potatoes in our benny order. Check your orders, this place is has poor QA/QC. Hope it improves

The food was okay. The waffle in my Chicken and Waffles was overcooked and very hard to cut through. The smoke in my wife's Bulgogi Steak and Eggs was overpowering and masked the Bulgogi flavour. The main reason why the rating is low was due to the poor service. Upon arriving at our table, my wife left to use the washroom. The server came from around the corner and asked if I was ready to order. No welcome, no introduction or even recognizing that I just sat down. I had to tell her that I just sat down. Her lack of awareness continued when she came back to ask if we were ready order just as my wife sat down after coming back from the washroom. Again, we had to tell her she just sat down. As for our order, she placed the wrong order for my wife. I understand mistakes happen, but my wife was deciding between 2 dishes. My wife decided to go with the Bulgogi Steak and Eggs and after confirming it could be made without the peanut sauce since I have a nut allergy. With something so specific, how could you order the wrong dish? We could not find our server so we told another person. Instead of getting it fixed immediately, she went to find our server and because my wife ordered steak and eggs, it took a while for her food to come. I finished my food by the time her food came. After that, we did not hear from our server for a while. We ended up sitting there waiting for our plates to be taken away and for our bill. Even after getting the bill and us sitting there with my credit card out, it took a while before our server realized we were ready to pay. In short, the service was bad and the food was okay. No reason for us to come back.

Waiter was rude and would never come to offer more water or coffee, even when restaurant was half loaded. Got a chicken n waffles but chicken was over fried (even burned). I would advise to go to jam cafe or medina if you are in this area.

Our Sunday Brunch was one of the best in town.
The food was delicious and presentation was beautiful.
I really recommend them tiramisu very unique and delicious.
The atmosphere was nice and service very good and friendly.
This place became one of our favourite restaurants in town we will be back.

The more brunch options the better! Catch 122 is one of the better brunch places in Vancouver and you cannot go wrong.

We came on an early Thursday morning for breakfast and, since we had a reservation, we were seated right away.

The food was delicious and, the portions were quite filling. We had a SALMON GRAVLAX BAGEL and a PULLED BBQ PORK SHOULDER BENNY with Mocha and Latte coffees.

We also ordered an EXTRA serving of bacon which, unfortunately was a little over cooked.

Other than that, no complains…

We wanted to have some of their alcoholic drinks but, it was too early for them to serve them; and also, we couldn’t try any of the pastries that we wanted because their baker was on vacations.

Food was amazing, waiters were very friendly a bit pricy.

Such a disappointing experience for brunch recently. Our reservation was pushed back 15 minutes (which is fine) but once we arrived the host ignored us for about 2 minutes before rudely bringing us to our table and told us we have 75 minutes (again, fine but the delivery was super unwelcoming and cold). Once we were sat it took 15 minutes for anyone to come and even give us water. Tried to get multiple employees attention with no avail. Food took about 30 minutes and unfortunately the meals were not worth the wait, bacon was totally overcooked and mostly burnt, sausage had chunks of inedible pieces and potato rosti tasted like old fry oil. One of my friends enjoyed the chicken and waffles but was also really put off by the service. Only talked to our server to order food and to pay the bill, I'm guessing overworked and under staffed so hopefully they provide some more support and are able to provide a better experience. Won't be returning unfortunately due to a combination of unpleasant experiences with service and food quality.

Not worth the price or the hype in my opinion. Perhaps I got items that aren't highly recommended (I got the breakfast crispy chicken sandwich) it lacked any seasoning. I was practically eating batter and the chicken was clearly overcooked. Not a fan.

Loved the cafe. The food is amazing. Their 'grown up hot chocolate' is a must try. My favorite hit chocolate in town!

I rarely post reviews but this resto definitely knocked it out of the park for me. It was hands down the best brunch I have had and the service was part of the experience too (our waiter's name was Ricardo. I think).

I had the chorizo breakfast sandwich (with scrambled eggs) and my gf had the cauliflower Benny. We also ordered the guava mimosas and they were fantastic.

The chorizo will change your life. One way or another (for the better)

Catch 122 has such amazing food! However every time I've gone the service is par at best. If only they stepped up their game this place would then get a solid five stars. I'd much rather order and do takeout for a better ambience. They rush you through brunch by telling you of their time limit so it already starts you off in a rush. Totally understand covid times but come on Catch!

Everything was perfect overall. Food was above expectations and reasonably prices. Unfortunately only open 9am to 3pm. Would have liked to spend an extra hour or two here. 5 stars regardless.

I heard about Catch 122 googling best brunch downtown and Catch 122 is on the list. I made reservations and arrived right at time for 11: 30am. We walked to Catch 122 about 15 minutes in the heat 26 degrees. I guess I should not expect but they didn't have A/C so we were sweating for a bit before we got used to the warmth. The restaurant is spacious and I love the decor with brickwork wall and wood for tables and chairs. We needed water as it was hot and so didn't order any beverages. We went straight to food.

I order The BELT (bacon, egg, lettuce and tomatoe). It was really delicious and I loved the crunch from bacon and the fried egg made dish more decadent. The sourdough bread was toasted to perfect crunch with what I believe to butter. It was paired with homemade chips and was light and crispy and my husband couldn't stop eating my chips! That's ok, I am watching my carb intake.

My hubby ordered the Bulgogi Steak & Eggs and the steak was perfectly cooked. He enjoyed this dish and we both left full and warm and needed to walk it off.

The service was outstanding and very attentive. I am taking 1 star off as we were quite warm dining in on a hot day.

Food arrived promptly and tasted delicious; I highly recommend the avocado toast. Ambiance is casual with sufficient seating space. Servers are on point. Will return.

Food is always amazing. Service was quite slow which because of our schedule forced us to eat a lot quicker than we would have liked.

Definitely one of my fav brunch places in Vancouver. They have recently added bubble teas to their drink menu (only on weekends), and I cannot describe how delicious it was!

We were visting Vancouver for the first time and this was our first meal in the city and I must say, we were not at all disappointed! We ordered the cappuccino, spicy chicken sandwich and the classic. The classic was very good and filling (loved the sourdough bread) and the chicken burger was AMAZING - so much flavour, a must try! Highly recommend this place to everyone.

Great breakfast joint in Gastown. Great menu options. Coffee was amazing. Service was good. The quality, presentation and taste of the food met expectations, so very good. Will return!

The hazelnut french toast was out of this world amazing. But I just learnt they no longer have it on the menu.
The benedict's are very good as well.

One of my favourite brunch places - great atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food. There is usually a bit of a wait on the weekends - go early to avoid the lines.

I refuse to give Vancouver restaurants any stars lower than three but if it weren't a Vancouver restaurant I'd be giving it two stars. First off the hostess sat is literally at the other end of the restaurant close to the back wall even though there was soooo many seats at the front of house. We asked to move a bit closer and she rolled her eyes. We weren't given menus because they were being wiped down but I swear they forgot we were waiting for them. When we finally ordered we felt rushed even though they had so many staff and only a few customers. Our food was the worst part. My husband ordered a traditional breakfast which he said was hardly something to brag about but he could finish it and be content. I ordered chicken and waffles and I could not finish this and even he was put off by them. The waffles tastes as of yeast and looked under cooked. I asked the server how the waffles are supposed to taste and he just shrugged. I explained I couldn't eat this and he just said Ok and took it away. No apologies or attempt to make me something else. He brought us our bill without us asking for it and the price was hard to swallow considering everything. We paid and left but I was still very hungry and very upset with this experience. Sad because gastown is so amazing but we will never be back and will defer others from coming here.

Good breakfast. Had the pork shoulder with eggs and toast, wife had eggs on toast with avocado, it was good as well.

Catch 122 used to be so good, but nowadays I can’t find myself to want to come back after the change in menu and price. It was once cheaper and even better. Service and food is still alright, just that the former chef had big shoes to fill.

Food was meh. Wait was long, service was delayed, they undercooked my meal and gave me a new one but still pretty bad on them. Wasn’t worth it.

Lovely service, welcoming space, and a very good brunch menu. The homemade bread is wonderful. One of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a while.

Amazing food. Pretty decent portions and a wide range of different menu options. If you come for weekend brunch be prepared to wait, it gets very busy.

One of my favorite brunch spots in the city. I really like the vegetarian version of their classic breakfast. They also do really nice and varied mimosas. Get there before 10am on the weekend to avoid waiting.

This is a great place to Instagram your food. If you're hungry, I'd suggest eating somewhere else first. There was a long line, but the restaurant was only about 75% full. We quickly realized that the reason for the wait was the slow (but friendly) service. When the food eventually arrived it was cold, which is remarkable for a dish served in a skillet.

3 stars is because some things were great (flavour and variety of dishes, decor) and some things were bad (value for money, long waits even after being seated). Probably worth going off-peak hours but definitely would not recommend during typical brunch times.

Catch 122 was a great brunch stop in one of best looking dining rooms I’ve seen in a while. They’ve really nailed the modern industrial aesthetic while staying true to the history of the building and their surrounding neighborhood.

The food was good — it’s clear that they are putting a lot of heart into the menu. Prices might seem high to some, but I felt like it was all well worth it. We left full and happy.

Service was a bit slow, but everyone was friendly, so it evened out.

A colleague heard this place was good, so we checked it out for a weekday brunch. Service was good overall, but the avocado toast on their in house sour dough bread was burnt black along the edges. I'm not sure why I didn't ask for a steak knife to cut it. The actual problem I had was the value of this item. It was one small piece for $13. Its literally smashed avocado with a tiny bit of cabbage with one poached egg. I was also shocked they charge $1for hot water and lemon? It's not even worth a try.

I initially. Hose this place because of the very long line and hour wait to even get a seat for brunch. I think this initial impression made me think the food would be super outstanding. Not to say the food wasn't good, it was very good, but I don't think I would wait a hour again to just get inside.

One thing though, the staff is very very friendly. They were kind, helpful, and attentive. I would definitely come here more if the line wasn't so long.

Overall, very good experience and have no regrets coming here.

Aussie barista will make you a great long black (or any other proper coffee). Best I've had in Vancouver hands down. Every other concern is secondary. They could be running the place out of a dumpster and I'd still give a five star review for the coffee.

Always busy, but no wait for a table at either of the weekend brunches I've been here. Don't expect staff to check in with you every three minutes like most Canadian cafes, as far as I can tell they leave you in peace and expect you to ask for service.

The interior is typically uninspired cafe warehouse chic. Good bones to the building but cookie cutter decoration. Generally loud, no noticeable effort at reducing echo off all the brick and concrete. Desultory blues and early rock and roll soundtrack.

Arrived with a large party and miraculously there was no wait. I expected along wait from reading reviews, but we were lucky! Our server was attentive and the food came quickly. I recommend the Catch Madame, the Mushroom Benedict (the sauce is much better than eggs benedict's I've have before) and the blueberry waffle, which is warm and fluffy and simply amazing especially with the mascarpone. The hot chocolate was good, but if you like sweetened coffee, dont get the iced latte because it didnt seem to have sugar in it - up to your preference but my friend didnt know so she didnt like it.

Came in at around 1: 30 on a Sunday and was seated immediately. Was impressed with the ambiance and cleanliness - the restaurant is seeped in fine wood and brick textures. Shortly after, I was greeted by a server, who then proceeded to help me with recommendations on the dishes and beverages. The staff members I encountered were friendly and open to answering questions. I ordered the "Dirty Breakfast" - the head chef's personal take on the breakfast classic. The wait was a bit long and the dish was a bit small, but it was satisfying as all hell. I would definitely come back here again.

Food is very good and the restaurant is very well designed. Be ready for the unfriendly customer service. The place wasn't full and it took them awhile to notice us, the server kept asking what I want to drink after I told him, then forgot our add on dishes (Maybe write it down?) Later another server took over for some reason and took my drink without even asking if I want another one. Later we asked for the bill and we had to go to the front because they just didn't care and check us out. No one asked once how is our food.

I found service to be a little slow and the food was ok. I didn’t find it outstanding. I did have something simple, so maybe next time I’ll get something else!

Great brunch drinks! I’ve been here a few times on vacation and it’s always super crowded, but the wait staff is efficient and we’ve never had more than a 10-20 minute wait. Would highly recommend!

Horrible brunch I ever had in this town. I ordered Pork shoulder Benny and my gf had waffles. Waffles was ok as that's the food hardly go wrong right? But pulled pork in my Benny was too sweet and taste like just came out of canned food. You can get way tastier pulled porks at many other places in gas town I bet. The potatoes came as side was the worst. I assumed it was already fried a while before being served to our table and deep fried again just before serving. Too hard outside and it was even cold. Definitely I am not going back as there are many better restaurants available than Catch122.

This place could also pass for 4 or 5 stars. The menu is good. I rated it down to 3 because I had the "The catch madame" which is the same dish I tried at wildebeest and enjoyed it much more there. The sandwich at catch 122 was less creamy and the bread was much harder to cut/chew.
