Cayenne Bistro and Grill

Had a fantastic dinner tonight. The chicken tikka tandoori was melt in your mouth and the spice blend perfection. The staff were warm and welcoming and service was wonderful. If you want a delicious dinner in a casual but elegant place with great service you can’t go wrong with Cayenne Bistro and Grill!

Very good service with fantastic dishes, I really enjoy the vibe and food here every time. This place gave me good memories and experiences, highly recommend.

A go-to spot for myself and family. Gluten free options and all halal meat which is a bonus. Very very tasty well made food, generous portions, personable and caring owner, attentive service and overall a nice clean restaurant to eat at.

The food was so good I didn’t realize until 5 minutes after we all started eating that I didn’t take a picture!

We stopped in this afternoon for a quick bite, been meaning to try it for awhile and just happened to be parked out front after an appointment. Always on the lookout for tatsy, unique food and they didn't disappoint. We just had the appy platter and another appy. All delicious oustanding thoughtful service. All the reviews I read were on point. We will definitly be coming back to try more of the menu. Great find

A casual place with excellent food and exceptional service. We had the appetizer platter, chicken serena and a seafood dish (can't recall name). Absolutely delicious! We will definitely come back.

I ordered a take
out from here after seeing all the good reviews. I got the hyderabadi lamb biryani with roti and yogurt raita and the carrot pickle. The rice was nice and tasty, a little bit on the spicy side but I liked it, but the lamb was with bone and few times I chewed on pieces of bone as they were small and all mixed with the rice and it was such a bad experience eating the rice as the whole time i was looking for bone pieces. The raita was nice and tasty, but the roti was just very plain and didn't have any filling. It tasted like a regular flat bread. The pickle was very small for $6.0 and nothing special. Overall, it was not what I was expecting for a $50 meal.

Been here several times and it's now our 'date night' restaurant of choice! Tried about half the menu so far and it's been delicious every time.

The owner is very friendly and proud of his restaurant, and happy to offer menu suggestions. He's the kind of guy with that knack for remebering faces and details about the customers so it's always a warm welcome.

Food was excellent and amazing! All the dishes were so flavourful. The owners of the restaurant were there in person and so attentive to their customers. We chose the place because the food is halal. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 starts was because the food was a bit on the pricey side. However everything else was great! Especially the food!

We had such an amazing first time experience at this Beautiful Establishment. The Staff & Owners were absolutely amazing. The vibe and energy in the restaurant was so beautiful and welcoming. We are definitely going to be coming back to enjoy so more delicious food. Thank you to the owners for making our Anniversary dinner so special with the added music to our cake cutting. We definitely recommend others to go try out this restaurant, you will not be disappointed ️?

Delicious food and excellent service. I’m not much of a dark beer drinker but the owner had me try a chocolate porter and it was great. We tried a variety of meats and platters and couldn’t have been happier with our meal. We’ll definitely be back.

Another great meal. Chicken Serena and Mixed Seafood Medley were both delicious. Make sure you get naan to soak up the sauce. You wont want to leave any behind. Friendly service, as always.

When my wife said let's eat here, I was not sure about this place, and then. OMG! The experience, the food, the atmosphere, the staff was nice, but the owner.what a great person and professional care.

My picky 12 year old ate everything we ordered for our party of 8. To be clear, she ate it fast and a lot of it. Normally, this girl will dissect most meals to the point of eating only a few morsels. Not the case here. The food was full of flavor from the samosas to the Kashmiri chicken, daahl, and chicken paneer.

These great dishes were matched by the best service our family has experienced in any restaurant, and we are fairly well traveled and go out a lot. The genuine care that our host gave our family did not feel at all fake, and he never once was perturbed by any little request we had. It was delightful conversing about his travel experiences, and he was helpful with explaining the way to eat the condiments that were new to some of us not familiar with the cuisine.

We are out of towners, but we visit Vancouver about four times a year for a few days to a week at a time. We have promised to visit Cayenne Bistro with each visit from here on out.

Very flavourful dishes and chutneys. The masala potatoes on the masala fish platter were a highlight. I liked how the fish platter also came with daal and roti/rice. The beef rib platter was also reportedly good, but apparently could have had a bit more meat. The service was very genuine and pleasant.

Our first experience with East African cuisine, and it was absolutely amazing! The rich, savoury sauces were soooo good. Plenty of Proteins in each dish and the flavour balance is perfect. We love this place. Portions are very generous, enough for work lunches next day, even! The cuts of meat used in each dish are quality, no fatty, grisly pieces are to be found at all. We recommend the Zanzibar kukupaka, chicken Serena, and the fried beef kababs. Also, the Masala Prawns are great.these make up the basis of our order each time, with a few appys thrown in as well.

Finding a warm place with excellent food and hospitable owners is rare. And we found that here. We had lunch at this lovely place and we were made to feel comfortable and welcome. They even customized drinks for us because we wanted something that wasn’t in the menu. We were touched by his kindness and the whole experience. The food is absolutely amazing, especially the prawn dish we had. Loved this place so much, totally recommend it to those who enjoy good dining experience.

Met co-workers for lunch and it was excellent. Such a great change from the standard chain restaurants, the food was MORE delicious, service excellent, and the room was beautiful. We had multiple appetizers and my meal of tandoori chicken was tender and very flavourful. Highly recommend

My fiance and I had a great experience here. The owners were very inviting and pleasant. Yes the food did take a while, but we were forewarned that it would since its is made from scratch and we prefer it this way. We only been here one time and didn't have the chance to try more items but the food we did try was delicious. We already started to spread the word and we will be visiting again!

Great fusion restaurant to try out in New Westminster.

The food was good and plentiful. I just said what I needed to have and it came. The service was even better. I felt cared for and appreciated. This is something that you can't buy! Thankyou for that!

My friends came across this place online and we decided to check it out last night. I ordered the Cayenne Kuku Poussin with Masala Fries and my friends ordered the Beef ribs with mandala fries. The chicken was amazing and my friend really enjoyed his meal as well. Very friendly staff and good location. I Would definitely recommend this place

My friend and I were visiting BC for four days, and we decided to come here, and this restaurant is the BEST. Everything from start to finish was excellent. The restaurant was nicely decorated, the service was exceptional, the owner was so friendly and gave us recommendations, the food was phenomenal, very flavorful and the portions are very large. Just to say, if we come back, this restaurant will be on our to go list.

Best dining experience we’ve had in Vancouver. The food was incredible, it was flavourful, cooked to perfection, and worth every penny. The ambiance was amazing, and the restaurant was exceptionally decorated. The staff was so nice and pleasant to be around we didn’t want to leave. We definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a great experience and quality dishes. We can’t wait to go back.

Great food, good dining experience. Came with a big party of people and the service was really good. The owner made sure we were taken care of personally. The short ribs are a solid choice in the menu and the appetizers (mogo, kebab and samosas) are solid.

An amazing arrangement of unique, but familiar flavours & everyone working there is great!

My wife and I love this place for 4 specific reasons 1. The utter care and hospitality of the owners - they treat us like family and house guests 2. The place is spotlessly clean esp the bathroom - (ultimate test for a restaurant - cause how you do little things is how you do big things!) 3. They are always extra careful with my wife’s gluten-free needs. 4. Finally, last but not least the cuisine is unlike any other run of the mill restaurant and very authentic to East Africa and it’s breadth of flavours with a creative, innovative touch! We hesitate to tell you how good it is because we are scared it will make it so full we have to stand in line! Finally or 5thly as a bonus… it has ambience, so it’s lighting and seating begs for a romantic date with my girlfriend of 37 years - my wife)! Enjoy!

Amazing east African indian fusion. There's only a few of these places in the lower mainland and this is one of the best.

One of those places I would call a hidden gem.it was my first time to dine there.

The food was absolutely delicious and rich in flavour. I had the Hyderbadi Chicken Biryani and the Choma Platter. The Mishkaki wasn't the best but the beef ribs were excellent!

My overall experience was good! The food was great and staff are very friendly. The only thing I didnt like was the table I was seated at because it was too close to the entrance.people waiting to be seated felt like they were uncomfortably close at times. So I'm just putting this here as a suggestion to either relocate that table or find a solution / screen out people who are waiting.

I can't wait to try my next meal there and would definitely recommend them!

They deserve the high praise of their reviews. The owner is so genuine, friendly, and passionate. A very interesting variety of dishes, with good portions. Personally, the food could do with a little more salt, and the "hot" was fairly mild.

Delivery is very poor.
I bought few items over Uber Eats. One of the item was Cayenne Garlic Prawn. It is $19.95.it contains only 9 pieces of very small prawns. I cannot believe this is a $. 19.95 dish. What a daylight robbery! See attached picture.
There supposed to be two naans. They gave one and half, see picture.
Also, two of the half naans are blackened like with black ash. Totally, not gonna order from them ever again!

Delicious food and great service. It’s family run and everything was fantastic. We had the Zanzibar kuku paka, Kashmiri chicken, and Hyderabadi biryani. I can’t recommend one over the other as they were all so good. So good in fact that we forgot to take photos!

We ordered the Masala Fries, Kuku Poussin, and the Beef Biriyani, and everything was amazing! If you're worried about things being too spicy or not spicy enough, you can always ask them to adjust, they were really accomodating and friendly. The whole experience was a 26/10:)

This is a family “go to” restaurant. We LOVE this place. The food is authentic East African + Indian (most of our family are East African Indian) and every time we go here it is a taste from home! We are always impressed with the service and with the amazing food!

Went for dinner with my partner and we were made to feel very welcome. The staff were friendly and the owner cracked smaller jokes during our meal. Very welcoming.

As you can see, we started eating before we thought of snapping a photo. The food is flavourful and yummy. The owner came and showed us a more fun way to have our appies instead of a knight and fork. I wish we came earlier after living in the neighborhood for a year.

Amazing food! We tried the lamb chops, goat curry and mishkaki (beef skewers). Tusker Lager beer was a perfect partner for the food. Excellent service and hospitality. Highly recommend and will definitely come back.

We happened to visit here by accident and we are sooo glad we did. The food was very very tasty and the service was awesome! We are a group of 12 and so had a chance to taste many of the appetizers and entrees. We loved everything we ordered. Service war exceptional too.
