I am delighted to share my positive experience at CDI College Richmond Practical Nursing. Choosing this institution for my nursing education has proven to be an excellent decision, the faculty is exceptional. The Director (Ms. Tricia) and Instructors are highly knowledgeable, experienced, and dedicated to fostering a supportive learning environment. Their commitment to the success of each student is evident through their willingness to provide guidance and support both inside and outside the classroom.

I just finished my PN program, and I would like to thank Ms. Gina (Assistant Director of Admissions), who encouraged and supported me throughout the PN program. Also, I would like to thank Ms. Tricia (Associate Campus Director), who was very kind and assisted me with my Diploma and transcript. Ms. Tricia is the most fantastic person I have encountered; she is very approachable and listens to each person's concerns.

Thank you so much Artan!

I would like to thank the following student nurses who attended to my father at the Richmond General Hospital: Nav who was the main student was knowledgeable and very gentle in handling my father. First few days Nav was a little bit hesitant when she was taking my dad’s blood glucose reading but she quickly learned and my dad would even joke her as Miss Injection and my dad even commented she has a gentle hand while injecting the insulin. Isaac and Efren would also assist and have the same attitude towards their work, accommodating, gentle and calming. This goes to show their teachers like Kristine and Anna are excellent instructors in details of what to do.

Slimy. There's a reason the owner has been sued for fraud multiple times, all the way back to the 90s in the states. Go to a real School

Ms. Armie has made my experience at CDI enjoyable and great so far. She is welcoming, encouraging and wants nothing but the best for all of her students. I couldn't ask for a better teacher. She also made my clinical experience amazing, enjoyable, and I learnt a lot from her during that time.

One of the few instructors who motivates students like myself to constantly strive for excellence is Arminda. She is relentless in her commitment to ensuring that each student has a strong academic foundation. Her engaging teaching style makes the classroom lively and enjoyable to be in. I'm delighted I got the chance to learn from Ms. Armi!

Terrible “school” They make their graduates wait forever to get their credentials so they can start working. Meanwhile the interest on their student loan continues to climb. Highly disorganized and slow to get things done. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place at all costs. Total waste of your time and money.

Went for IELTS exam today to CDI College Richmond. Guys opened the entrance door 30min late. Students had to stay outside in cold weather. Exam started obviously late. Horrible.

Our instructors are very understanding and considerate! They push each student to the best of their abilities. Anu the PN Coordinator is very friendly and thorough when teaching the whole class during open labs and her office is always accommodating for students with problems or concerns. Would recommend!

I started the EA program in July 2019 and was really excited to start fresh for a new career. My overall experience at CDI College was stressful - not only because of COVID-19, but also because the staff seemed very unprofessional. Over the period of my entire course, we had at least 5 instructors come and go. This not only disrupted the course, but also left most students feeling confused (including me). For a short period of time, we had no instructor at all.
In addition, the campus director would change often. Whenever I took my concerns or complains to the director, I felt no action was taken and I saw no results. Furthermore, a lot of times, the students had to REMIND the program coordinator/planner of the upcoming workshops that were mandatory for EA students to attend. I felt things were done so last minute, that it was almost humiliating when one time at a workshop we found out that our names were not even registered or submitted on time. From the planning of programs to receiving textbooks, students always had to advocate for themselves and constantly make rounds to the office to get things done.
It does state that both elementary and secondary school practicum opportunities are given to a student, but unfortunately I received only secondary school experience for both my practicums. So basically, I graduated with no elementary school experience.
I really do hope CDI works on these issues and hires staff that are long-term, more professional and have some past experience in the related field.

I am currently enrolled in the Education Assistant course at CDI College and soon to be a graduate of 2020. My experience from the start was really great. The teacher that I initially had was very well organized and professional with her work. Many of the work we did were openly discussed and engaging. No one felt excluded from the material hence it was more so a computer/online based class. Everyone was inclusive and helpful. Throughout the course, we had several different types of teachers. It wasn’t long after that the first teacher was gone, the second teacher came. The experience was not like the first. The replacement was terrible and disorganized, breaks were longer and it felt like it was a waste of time being in class. Most importantly, topics were irrelevant and unprofessional. Later on, we were then given an Early Childhood Education teacher that is currently working at CDI. She was really professional with her position and she was knowledgeable with her work. She formulated good examples and real life experiences. A few months later, we had another Early Childhood Education teacher. However, this teacher was new to this teaching environment The material she presented was not in relation to any EA work. She would just read out the power points and we were very confused on what we learned.
Currently, just nearly a few weeks before graduation, a new teacher was assigned to the class. This teacher has been well experienced in the EA field for 12 years. She engages the class with her life experiences and opens up about her interactions with children. Nonetheless, she is new to the teaching environment therefore she takes her time mark assignments. When I visited the administration office, most of the time they were confused, delayed and unclear with the questions I asked. Overall, the material and the two practicum experiences (both in the Elementary and High School based) I learned has guided me in hopes of getting a career in the following future and fulfilled my passion for helping children with challenges and exceptionalities in the education system.

I decided to take the Veterinary Health Care Assistant course after a bad fall that tore my tendon away from my right shoulder leaving me unable to work for at least 1.5 yrs. Everyone at the school was willing to work with me to get past my diability. After surgery, graduation and a whole lot of physio, I am proud to say that CDI helped me step onto a career path that I always dreamed of, working with horses. I may only be a stable hand for now, but I am working towards becoming a western riding instructor and a horse trainer. I stop in and visit all the wonderful staff as often as I can, I miss seeing them evey day!

I am an EA student from different campus. While I was in practicum none from my instructors were available to evaluate me in school. Jane Ali, from CDI Richmond, came sparkly happy to supervise and make meetings w my supervisor in charge. The rest of my group and I were so relieved that she came on that week! She has brought peace, professionalism and a remarkable presence. Professionals like her make a difference in our world! Thank you for your sweet and inspiring words, Jane Ali!

They are extremely unorganized and every other day there is a new problem with something. Frustrating and disappointing situations arise way too often. We were lied to a couple of times and that does not sit well with me. I would have liked to know that to succeed in the course you basically cannot work, had to quit my job to handle the workload and not explode with stress. Spend your money elsewhere, there are other schools in the area that offer the same programs. They don't care about students or their own staff.

When I decided to study ECE, I was hesitant about joining CDI as it is famous for nursing and technology. But now, and after 5 months of studying ECE at CDI college Richmond Campus, I am so happy that I took the right decision. The classes are small and conevnient. I always have the chance to ask as much questions as I want and get one to one assistant any time. The instructor is amazing, knowledgeable, experienced and well equipped. The director is always there for any help and support. The whole staff is cheerful and helpful. I am so much confident to be graduating in 5 months as a strong, well equipped and skilled Early Childhood Educator. Thank you CDI.

It is easy to take instructors for granted but it is difficult for us to take some time to overlook the progress we have made in our professional and personal life, we really forget to appreciate the existence of our instructors in our life who shared their knowledge with us and made us a reliable person from a novice and the patience our instructors have while dealing with us.studying in CDI has changed my life.i have new goals in my life i have great instructors to approach whenever i need help or support.our great instructor Anu Thind, whenever i complain about a lot of academic work, i remember how she has handled our first semester almost all by herself.she never complained about the work load just because she want us to grow professionally and help us learn as much as possible.despite being extremely knowledgeable she is a great person.i love you.and i love the way you teach.i will owe everything i learned in this program to my instructors.

CDI college is amazing to support your study. I did prerequisites of Biology 12 and anatomy and physiology here. We had wonderful teacher: Dr Edgar who was a retired Doctor. He is very knowledgeable and he is the best teacher I ever met: stimulating our thinking, motivating us to further study for the contents we discussed in the class. We just want to study and study. His teaching style is thought-provoking and humorous. We had huge fun in his class. The LPN program we started now for 2 months. Each quiz and exams we took are all preparing students for the board exam. The teachers are knowledgeable. Anu and Coco are wonderful teachers. They not only teach you the knowledge and skills a future nurse should be prepared for, but also teach us the right attitudes and values a good nurse should have. The class is very interactive. CDI Richmond College is a small community, because it is small, so teachers and students know each other well, we help each other and support each other.
