A good beach to come to if you don’t like big crowds, beaches are so packed now anywhere close to Vancouver, at least here it’s mostly locals and usually not so busy. Perfect place to paddle board!

Was a great place for a picnic.
Concession stand seemed a little expensive.
Over all a nice beach experience.

Haven't been here for years. Plenty of free parking, beautiful sand, washrooms and change rooms, concession. Lots of trails either for walking or biking and a children's playground.
Tide was out when we arrived, but when it came in it was quick. Saw people get caught with chairs on sandbars.

Love the whisper of the ocean and the murmur of the grasses at Boundary Bay. It is a place that gives me the horizon I daydream during work days stuck in a cubicle with dozens of other colleagues. The sky is near endless at this beach, and though I love to see the morning sun there, rising from the waters (more or less), the sunset offers a precious moment of immaculate serenity, with all wild residents winding down and sending the sun away for the night. The beach is a great place for families, with the grand playground for creative and adventurous play (ahoy, matey!), the water heats up enough for the gentlest of skins and ages because it is shallow for a kilometer or so and the sun warms the surface enough for when the tide comes. My son loves to explore the hermit crab/clam/jelly fish and other ocean shore residents, with water truly transparent (unlike many other Vancouver beaches). Though popular, the beach is never crowded - yet if you plan a BBQ party, come early to get the most convenient spot.

Love walking the Raptor trail! About 40 minutes at a good pace to complete the loop which is a perfect distance to burn off a big lunch!

So fun! The beach is great for exploring and the park is lots of fun. Full concession stand when you’re hungry and there’s nearby clean bathrooms and a rinse station.

This place has been here for a long time, I last went here back in the '80s. The park does need some TLC (paint on the slides) but the rides were great, the staff were nice and friendly and the price was good. I'd go back.

Lots of parking. The sand has lots of sharp shells, so don't think about playing beach sports. You need to time the tide, one the water comes in its very nice for the kids.
23 October 2021 2:59
Beautiful big sandy beach with nice bathrooms, concession stand and playground! Everything you need for a great day picnic tables available closer to the playground /parking.
12 October 2021 8:50
Not too much people, beach side is clean and the water is clear. Its not very deep even when you walk a mile in the ocean. Kids and pets friendly.
11 October 2021 14:19
I love this beach. There's a no dogs area, but beyond that there's plenty of space to take your dog for a walk or a swim. Some people do let their dogs off leash here, so be prepared, but if tide is out there's plenty of space to avoid the off leashers.

Great spot for the family. Awesome playground. Plenty of fairly clean washrooms. Decent looking food at the canteen but I didn't eat anything.

Such a beautiful quiet beach with nice sand. It has a big playground for kids. Toilets, showers, restaurant. Large parking lot with a couple of EV chargers

Love it! It's one of the best beaches for families with kids! Great playground, good size beach area and picknik tables:)
10 August 2021 3:49
A really stunning beach to go to, the 601 bus stop now runs past here for those who commute. Lots of space with plenty of sand, lots of rocky areas too. When the tide is out it's neat to wander on the revealed wet sand islands. Be mindful and very aware of when the tide coming back in though!
There is social distancing rules in place as well as bathrooms, and a good playground area for kids! This beach has dog friendly walking paths and areas, and lots of benches and places to sit down if you get tired. Really recommend this beach!

Has bathrooms, place to wash feet, clean beach. Just a great place. Can get busy in terms of parking.
13 July 2021 1:17
A nice place for family with kids, parking lot is large enough for 200 cars maybe, playground, washrooms, grassy area and a sandy beach
04 July 2021 18:11
Beautiful place to go out with family and friends
Good hiking trails flat and easy for elder people
New washrooms
Clean picnic tables
Playground for kids
Lots of parking but some time gets busy during sunny days
Good idea to take?

Very open, clean, walking trails and swimming, washrooms on premises, nice family area with a playground, tons of parking

Is there anything quite as blissful as an amble by the seashore? The sea is a cerulean-blue gown and the beach seems dipped in earthshine-gold
26 May 2021 8:20
An amazing beach, great views and lots of beach area.
There was a little cafe spot and a huge playground.
Definitely a beach to frequent.

Excellent beach, good facilities with staff that look after this place. It is regularly patrolled and a nice place to bring family or friends. There is a large playground for children, with a few walking trails. Also, when the tide is low, you can walk out and enjoy the tide pools. 4 firepits are also available, making them a hotspot for people wanting a wood burning fire. At this time, the park closes at 9pm, where you would need to put out your fire by 8: 30pm. Park staff patrol the gates and they actually close them at 9pm, so make sure you are out by then.

Wow! So close to Vancouver. Great restrooms, change rooms, cafe and most importantly is accessible for all ages and abilities! Great for day vacations.

A great view of ocean water and sunset. Very calm and beautiful place. Good to visit with friends and family.

Centennial beach is a wonderful place to visit especially with kids. There is a wonderful playground here. The beach stretches out and when the tide is out, you can walk out what feels like forever. People, with permits, actually catch crabs in season when the tide is moving out.

Downside: it can be a popular place, especially on a nice weekend. The parking lot will be full and I'd avoid during those times.

We love boundary bay. Daily big. Time. Sand bar low tides. The water is always clear. And the bay warms up quickly in the given it is shallow. Our Labrador retriever Hazel loves it even more than we do!
14 May 2019 5:33
Love how secluded it feels compared to most beaches, lots of space on the beach to sit and relax and especially nice when the tide is out.
13 May 2019 12:48
One of the best places to take kids for some beach fun especially when the tide is out you can walk super far out. Not alot of shade though on sunny days. Parking may be a problem if super busy.
12 May 2019 8:41
No water fountains along the entire 18 km dyke. There is a parking lot at one end, on Mud Bay road, and there are several structures along the dyke, where a water fountain could easily be installed. Thankfully the first house in the neighbourhood close to Centennial Beach has a hose and dog bowl for water. The number of users in the park (bikers, runners, walkers) would surely justify better facilities. Other than that, the maps and sign posts were appreciated.

Great Beach, the tide goes way way out. Fabulous children's play ground. A perfect spot to fly your kite.
08 May 2019 10:59
The best beach you can find in lower mainland although this is facing east getting less sun. Bexar of that this park is less crowded and great for kids.
27 April 2019 11:54
Where the hell did the fire pits go? Who made this decision? 5 pits down to one, come on this is not okay!
27 April 2019 4:34
Time your visit for the low tide and take a long lovely walk out to the water. Lots of parking and the facilities are much nicer than they were when I was a kid. Love this beach!
09 April 2019 8:50
You have a great view of the Vancouver city, over the Boundary Bay, as well the mountains up North. However, it was a bit chilly today.

We had a Celebration of life for my dad in the Cammige Heritage House in the park. The park and beach is one of the most beautiful places I know. Staff and parks board are awsome. Great playground for the kids. Clean maintained beaches. Recomend this place to everyone. Simply stunning.

Nice place to spend an afternnon with the kids. Sandy beach area for kids to run around and fly kites in summer. Lots of birdwatchers as well. Nice place.

Specially when the tide is low this place is perfect for panoramic pictures if you like the simplicity of the landscape. (Picture by Farawayland Weddings)

Beautiful views, super warm water in the summer. Even busy days aren't too bad because there's so much space to spread out. When the tide is out you can walk the tide plains for miles
28 January 2019 9:53
Very overcrowded so don't expect to find parking on a nice day unless you come right at opening or a few hours before closing
28 January 2019 0:21
Great place to go biking. Following the trail you can go all the way to mud bay park. The ocean view is beautiful the whole way.
24 January 2019 14:53
Gorgeous place to go for sunsets. A lot of open beach and a great playground for kids right next to the beach.
23 January 2019 4:31
Best part of the park is taking the raptor trail up to the coffee shop and then walking back with a warm cup of java. Recommend.
05 December 2018 23:02
When there is a zero tide you can walk out for miles.
Mt Baker in the background and a river of sand dollars are a treat when you finally get to the water.
25 September 2018 16:42
There are no showers inside. Only changing rooms. And you have to wait outside for washing from sands
25 September 2018 9:36
Love it here. It does get very busy but you can walk forever in the warm water, easily getting away from the crowd.
08 September 2018 21:14
Nice each for all ages. Concession stand is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. There is a really large playground here for kids that are not interested in the beach. When the tides are out, you could walk really far out but beware of fast tides. Public washrooms and showers are available here. Free parking. Good for groups.
