Wonderful area that I didn’t know existed. Large for a downtown par, great water feature for hot kids (and adult kids!) courts and a WONDERFUL eating area with pizza oven and other cooking area that need to be booked. What a wonderful addition. Sadly someone has burnt down the playground. (July 2023) hopefully to be replaced soon
Lots of share and seating areas. Great park.

This park is tucked away and feels like a hidden gem but is obviously popular for a reason! A perfectly sized playground for younger kids, a splash pad, a ton of seating including picnic tables under shelter. Haven't seen the splash pad in action but I'm sure it is a life saver in the summer. Tennis courts with pickleball lines and tons of grassy areas to hang.

Great oasis in the middle of the city, with a water park, amazing community garden and totem poles

OMG this is an awesome park! Bring a swimsuit. There are change rooms, a basketball court, tennis courts, children's playground and water park. Not much shade so bring a beach umbrella. A few picnic tables and a community garden round of the main section of the park that I've seen so far. Definitely worth the trip since I drove up from Victoria.

Great park, but sad to say make sure you watch you're baby's as there's been some shady people who have been known to make a presence

Nice place to relax from. Beautiful features to enjoy. Mostly parents with kids can frequently visit the place. More outdoor pitch ground to enjoy.

Great place to take your kids and dogs. Has a garden centre (grow your own) a water park and exercise circuit.

A beautiful park complete with community garden, children waterpark, tennis courts and a covered picnic area. The covered picnic area has tables and a lovely mosaic wood oven now that's unique. When in Duncan, have a rest stop here.

If you love totem poles and want to understand more about their meanings, this is a must.

The route is well marked out (follow the yellow footprints) and each totem pole has a description about the pole itself and the artist.

Nice playground, has an outdoor kitchen, washrooms and a community garden. There's also a few pieces of outdoor gym equipment.

Great park, lots of options for children to play. Just use and abundance of caution in the bathrooms and in the cooking area, especially on rainy days when those who are still victims of the social injustice of homelessness have to choice but to gather for their very survival this time of year. (December)

Not as friendly as it once was. Lots of people in dispaire, homeless looking for a safe place. (Sad)

Great place for families and children, most people practiced social distancing and were respectful of others.no needles were found

Oct. 20/2020 Centennial Park.
I happen here by just, rooming around looking for another address, thought I would go through the park as a short cut. The Jubilee Community Garden caught my eye. The neat rows of each lot with the personal names of the owner. A lady going by enlightened me that it was very popular place. Also very clean with groomed a lawn. Farther on a Cob Kitchen. Looked very function and well designed with a huge table. The park is well laid out with well maintained tails.

Needs more supervision from CVRD on the playground because children are vomiting which could lead to Covid-19.
18 September 2020 13:45
Water park, bathrooms and trails with exercise equipment and stairs to use. Great for a day with the family. Have a cob over for special occasions when Covid isn’t on. Playground more for younger kids probably till 8-9 but older kids can have fun on the fields and courts and exceeding with parents on the other equipment.

This park has it all. A very kid friendly playground, water park, picnic area/green space, washrooms, swing set, two tennis courts and a small trail with workout stations.

Like any park in duncan (or any public space really.), the homeless and junkies like to gather here. Mostly trying to stay hidden in the trees.mostly.

Sharps container in the bathroom was broken into. Make sure your kids don't just go into the bathroom alone or make sure they know about needles. I've come here and never had this issue before until the last time. It's unfortunate but I don't want my daughter or other kids to get hurt.

Stunning walk through the forest, endless stairs for those who get a thrill in running up and down them, an out door gym, tennis courts, play ground, water park, cob oven and community gardens. Whats not to love about this family friendly hot spot!
13 August 2019 12:33
Great spot to bring the kids on a hot day for a water park adventure. Usually filled with kids, it's worth noting that there has been used needles spotted at this park in the past so I always do a quick check of the park before letting the kids loose.

Great park for toddlers. A lot of parks have play equipment too tall or too difficult for toddlers. This one is a good size for my 18month old. It is a water park as well, so come prepared to get wet.

This is a fantastic place for kids to play at the large park filled with almost every you. Swings, slide and teeter totter are great all year around. In the summer there is a water park. Washrooms are also available. There is also a community garden, tennis courts and a walking trail through the small park nearby.
19 March 2019 5:08
The park itself is great, but at times you do need to manoeuvre around the homeless, and those involved in drugs. Thankfully, these individuals mostly come out late afternoon & evening

Really nice park. Tennis and squash court. Playground and community garden with an undercover area with picnic tables. Good parking too.

Nice park. Unfortunately the gates get locked at 4pm during the winter months so you have to park a couple blocks away to use.

The Centennial Park is centrally located in Duncan. It is a beautiful grassed area, playground equipment with a small water park! For the runners = There are stations with equipment for stretching! A walking path that is well used by dog walkers and all the locals!
There are a few large picnic tables setup under a pergola structure with an enormous marble prepping counter for the larger picnics & group gatherings! It features a beautifully crafted.domed Cob oven! This Cob oven can be unlocked for special reserved community planned events. The beautiful carved MAN IN MOTION TOTEM for RICK HANSEN is on display by the pathway that circles the Park.
Members of The Jubilee Community Garden Society with individual plots, supply produce to Food Banks, shelters as well as their own individual families.
This local Park is well maintained and is a wonderful place for Families, Children of all ages.and Seniors to enjoy & relax!
Leashed pets are Welcomed. PLEASE RESPECT THIS BEAUTIFUL PARK AND CLEAN UP YOUR PET WASTE!
Enjoy:)

Centennial Park is the home of 40 members of the Jubilee Community Garden Societ7y whose annual efforts on their own 20x15 allotment f&g plot produce weekly veggies for the local Food Banks and shelters as well as for their own families. Their Garden Pals program also teaches some of the skills and values of communal Gardening. There is a decent exercise area with parcours machines near the main garden path.
The path circling the Park is heavily used by dogwalkers and elementary school kids who cross it to get to their elementary school. Excellent community resource thanks particularly to the Cowichan Land Trust.

It's an ok park. There is one climbing play structure for the big kids and the rest is really for the littles. There is a tennis court and some green space. The waterpark is ok as well, although not that big. It got 3 stars for couple reasons. The playground isn't well suited for all ages. We only go here about once a summer, even though it is convenient, because there are "questionable" people that walk through or sit and watch. Also, a good majority of the kids that seem to be there when we are there are not supervised by their parents and bully other kids.
