Here is my story. I know the emergency hospital will say it is not their fault.

I would actually say it is my fault trusting their words. A simple cut in my dogs paw turns into possible amputation. The key lesson I have learned here is the standard of care is not consistent. If my dogs leg is about to get amputated being patient and come back for rebandage will simply not cut it. The best decision I have made is take my dog somewhere else and not listening to them to go back to them for the fifth visit for the same issue. If you care about your dog, just don’t go there.

P.s don’t reach out. Don’t bother explain yourself. I am so disappointed and I have no patience for you guys anymore.

The people at the clinic were excellent with me when I lost my dog and best friend Joey a couple of weeks ago. They also send me a really nice (hand written) card that brought a tear to my eye, I thank them for that and highly recommend Central Animal Hospital to anyone

Im giving Central animal emergency one star because giving zero isn’t an option unfortunately. Run as fast as you can away from this vet and find a reputable knowledgeable caring vet. We took our cat there to get her tail amputated after she injured it. After the operation we were sent home with zero after care instructions, she got progressively worse at home and when we returned to get the bandage removed we were ignored when we told them about what was happening at home and how she was acting strange and not eating. They showed ZERO concern. When removing the bandages from her tail they expected us to hold her down. She was able to jump off the examination table twice during this. When we returned home she continued to deteriorate, was now refusing all food even the treat kind and not drinking any water. We took her to our daytime vet to get a second opinion because we were NOT being listened to. Our daytime vet told us her kidneys were shutting down, and she needed to start IV fluid therapy to try and save her. Our daytime vet was successful in reversing the kidney damage and we decided to have our daytime vet remove the stitches.
Immediately after the stitch removal once we got home her tail had burst open at the incision site. Long story short it turns out the first amputation wasn’t done done properly and left too much bone and not enough skin to properly heal and caused her tail to become completely de gloved. At this point again our daytime vet was closed and we were forced to again return to these quacks to get help. They performed a second amputation free of charge because they knew at that point that their ineptitude had caused the tail to burst open. They repeatedly assure us that THIS TIME she would heal properly however after this surgery she couldn’t walk properly and was completely incontinent having zero control over her bladder or bowels. We once again returned to our daytime vet to once again figure out what was happening with our cat where we were told that there were no X-rays on file when they looked to see what was going on with her spine even though we were charged $400 at central animal emergency for x-rays.
Our daytime vet took x-rays and showed us that the lower part of her spine was fractured which was the cause of her strange walking and incontinence. Every time we had to take our cat to Central, she was given absolute substandard dangerous “care” that contributed to her ultimate untimely completely avoidable death.
It’s our believe that during the second amputation, they fractured her spine and knew about it as they placed a pee pad Inside her carrier which they hadn’t done for the first amputation. We are seriously considering legal action against this clinic. We are devastated at the loss of Sammy. Absolutely devastated and warn anyone thinking of using this clinic to please reconsider and find another. They are completely unprofessional, incompetent, cruel and sadistic.
Please if you care for your pet, do not ever set foot in this joke of a clinic.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!
I took my dog there because she had difficulty breathing. (it wasn’t her first time, it had happened before when it gets hot.)
They gave my dog oxygen and god knows what else they did to her. After the doctor came out, he said I don’t know what is wrong with her and if you take her home she might pass away in front of your eyes. I was so shocked cause she wasn’t even feeling that bad in the first place. I asked them I want to see my dog and when I saw her she was struggling so hard to breath and her tongue was turning purple. I asked what they have done and that I want to take her out of there. The staff became kinda rude and when I wanted to pay they took forever to attend while my dog couldn’t even breath.
I brought her home she felt better after a while being at home but IF I HAD LEFT HER THERE SHE WOULD HAVE DIED.
Then they called me and threatened me they will contact bc spca because we refused further treatment.
DONT TAKE YOUR DOG OR PET THERE.
All they cared about was money and they just wanted to charge us a fortune for treatments that weren’t even necessary, all my dog probably needed was oxygen.

As a response to your reply:
Aggressive against another client? I did not talk a word to your other client!
Also I did not refuse to pay, I waited for a few minutes but it was you who was taking so long, and I was in a rush to take my dog to another clinic, I also said I will come back to pay and I DID pay after.

Great clinic with great professionals! Staff here is really supportive and caring and it shows. When my dog injured his leg he was provided with all the help he needed. Needless to say people working here know what they’re doing and they will be happy to answer any questions you have

If I could give zero stars I would.

We took our best friend in to Central Animal Emergency Clinic this past Thursday evening to be put down. Our regular vet was closed, and out poor old dog had had some kind of seizure. The doctor was very nice, but other than that, this entire experience could have been handled so much better…

The worst thing - last night at 6: 20, someone called to ask “How is Chip doing? ” Seriously? !? They had just put him down the night before!

The girl explaining pricing to us was very confused and quite confusing. What she eventually said was the “full price” was actually not even half of the total $855 charged before we walked out the door.

While we in the room saying goodbye, we could hear the office girls laughing and carrying on.

Overall, this experience was horrid and completely insensitive and I hope never to have to darken their door step again.

Compassionate and efficient with an emergency diagnosis for an ailing kitten for my brother. He had nothing but good things to say.

I had a very sick kitty that we had to put to sleep. All the staff were so kind. They let us have as much time as we needed to say goodbye.

Not really a emergency clinic when they make you wait 30 min while puppy is gagging and choking. With noone in front of you, while staff are joking and laughing in the back room.

Such a bad experience. To be fair, the doctor was good, but the other staff, especially the nurse we ran into, lacks of courtesy and sympathy, and doesn’t care about us and our pet at all.

* Prior to visit, I followed the instructions on the website to fill in the new client’s information. It took me 15 mins to provide all the necessary information, including medicines in use, illness history and etc. But when I phoned them in for the visit, they told me the website is not working.
* When I arrived, no one greeted us. The reception and nurse, two ladies, watched us like who are you and why you guys come. The nurse asked me to fill in all the information.
* The doctor was quite good, who was patiently gathering all the history of my cat and discussing with us about the possible plans.
* We got two small bottles of fluid medicine that are supposed to feed my cat 1cc every 12 hours for 5 days, which should be 10cc in total. However, after we got home, we realized there were only 6cc in one and 8cc in the other. We had to drive back in the night and asked them to have a refill. This second visit was a disaster. The nurse measured it and refilled it. I was waiting for a simple word for apology, but she never said it. All her words sounded like we might spill it or we messed up. It’s ridiculous and rude. I talked to the doctor again about the experience. I got a late apology.

I wound not recommend this place unless you want to take extra stress except for the fact you are taking your pet to an emergency.
