Olga from Ukraine cut my husband’s hair and trimmed his beard. He ran out of time before we left on our cruise, so we sought out a barber in Victoria. Great cut! She knows her job. Lovely, friendly young woman. Cash only, but lots of ATMs in area.

Since moving to Victoria in 2021, I’ve always gone here for my haircut! Not once have they messed me up, which is all I ask! Their new space is very nice, and the staff is welcoming and fun! Don’t hesitate to trust these people with your hair, especially since their price is a bargain

Always a professional, positive and fun atmosphere. The service is top notch and prices are so great that I leave a tip for about 50% of the cost of the cut and it’s still better value than any other place in town.

I always get my haircut here and recently one of the barbers i usually go to left for vacation but yesterday i went to the barber shop looking for something pretty light a low fade and half a inch of the top instead he pretty much shaved the entire back of my head so my hair has no shape what’s so ever even tho i corrected him many times the barber kept second guessing himself and looked complelty confused while he was cutting my hair and did not know what he was doing

Jourdan's my barber and has been for awhile. He first cut my hair at another barbershop in town. When he moved to Central it was an easy decision for me to follow him here! He's an awesome barber! Over time he's got to know me and what makes my hair unique - I feel like every cut with him just keeps getting better and better. It's easy for me to give this guy a 5 star rating!

Terrible I told him the exact instructions to do my hair, but this person has favortism don’t go to him he wears ultraboost Yeezys and is Arab. If he doesn’t know you he won’t take your hair cut easily, worst haircut I’ve ever had. When he was cutting my hair he was on his phone texting someone and took his longest when he was texting someone and not even took my haircut seriously. My worst haircut by far.

They take walk ins which works great if you don't have a fixed schedule. I have been in three times and have always been happy with the service. Bring your cash as it's always appreciated.

Guy in the left corner messed up my hair by buzz cutting one spot almost down to nothing, then asked me how that spot got there. I complained that the cut was uneven and he disagreed and told me it was fine. I had to get it fixed elsewhere, and will not return.

I've been to see Bachir here for 2 years. It is the single best experience I've ever had in the chair. People have asked me where I get my hair cut at least once a week.
If you're a guy who wants a stellar haircut for a good price. There isn't a better place in Victoria.

The cut was so so but the bad part was that I had my jacket stolen while I was getting my hair cut. The owner did not bother to solve the problem. Maybe look at the cameras or give some compensation, nothing. I got only a "sorry, I don't know what to tell you". Not coming back.

Brought all my kids for a hair cut and they were all very pleased with the results. Great friendly, prompt service at a reasonable price. Will definitely go back and get a hair cut for myself too. Highly recommended!

Mouses the barber was friendly and professional. He asked me what kind of hairstyle I want/used to have and he gave me his input on what he thinks would look good with my head shape. I made the final decision after hearing his opinion and I am satisfied with the outcome. It’s different than what I’m used to, but in a good way!

My boss was looking pretty rough, he grew his hair out during the lockdown and it was not his best look. After the hair cut with Michelle he looks super professional & so much younger. She did a great job, that was a complicated cut for sure. He now is setting up regular trims!

Definitely, one and the only best place to get your Haircut. I have tried a lot of barbers, but I think I have found the right one for me now. Hamada was super nice and knew what to do. They have 5-6 staff working at a given time so wait time is drastically reduced. Moreover, the staff is friendly and experienced. My 5 year old son had his short hair cut by Michelle today. I wish I could give Michelle and Central Barbers 10 stars. It was by far - BY FAR - the least stressful, most effective (his hair is beautifully cut, even all around) and most positive haircutting experience he's ever had - including his early haircuts at a very kid oriented salon. We chose this shop simply because my son is obsessed with 'long ago' and walked by and loved the big wall photo of an old streetscape, lol. I'm an ECE and I will be recommending Michelle to every family with young kids I know especially those whose kids find the sensory experience of getting a haircut overwhelming - this was my son's first time with the buzzer, and with that, with the hair dryer (which he hates) and with the water spray to cut his bangs, Michelle was an absolute expert - super calm, super confident, just totally defused his stress and made it a great experience. Also, he looks adorable! Thanks so much!

I cannot say enough about Erin at Central Barbers. She is such a good human being and gives amazing cuts, with great attention to detail. I'm incredibly particular about the cuts I get and used to be more than double what I pay here. Needless to say Erin gets great tips from me, as she should from everyone.

Relatively new to Victoria I tried a few Barbers that just didn't quite connect or deliver. Then I met Erin at Central Barbers and now I walk away feeling like a million bucks. The shop has a fun, positive, busy but chill vibe and in minutes you feel like you've been coming there your whole life. I'd pay 20 bucks just to go sit in a chair there for a while and hang out:)

The most friendly people ever. I have tried a few barber shops for my boys but the energy in this place is the best. Very friendly, very accommodating and so gentle with kids! Love them all!

Finally i found my hair stylist in victoria. I had an amazing haircut with the owner Bachir. He knows what the customer need in a perfect way. I recommend everyone to go to Central. Their price is cheap and they are very friendly.

Such a great place with a wonderful vibe. The girl who styled my hair was Erin who had such a bright personality and really gave me a great conversation. She kept checking up on me with the way my hair looks and really revolved the cut around how i would like it. Wish i could rate higher!

Went here because I got an atrocious hair cut yesterday and needed something to be done about it ASAP. I was about to just get my head shaved but, Erin was like “no, let me see what I can do”. She did an amazing job. Couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Confidence through the damn roof. Great conversation and great service. Go see this girl and let her work her magic. Oh and the cherry on top.she only charges $15 but, you better tip that girl. She’s great

Always happy with my cut here, fast service, great price. However, on my last haircut the barber walked in while I was waiting in the waiting area, took me straight away and started cutting. I could smell cigarette smoke on their fingers, and they definitely didn't bother to wash their hands. PLEASE wash your hands, at least after returning from break.

I always get either the owner or the middle eastern girl with the tattoos cut my hair. It doesn’t take much to pull off a number 2 buzz cut but it does take a great barber with personality to remember small details in my life and have an intelligent conversation for the entirety of the hair cut.

Pay these guys a visit and quit wasting your time with the other shops on town.

Royally ruined my beard and haircut. All in less than 10 mins. Worst ever experience and dint even bothered to return the change as if it was a tip. NOoooo u dint even deserved the money.

As a barber we need to get haircuts too, so I thought I would check out Central Barber. The space is amazing, clean and friendly. Hobie cut my hair and was truly amazing with his skills! I will be back for sure. BIG thank you! A. L.

I have been getting my hair cut here every 2-4 months for maybe 10 years.
I am not partial to any particular barber or stylist, and my cuts have been generally decent.
My primary reason for choosing this location is efficiency - they have consistently met my need for either cutting my hair in a short time frame, or honestly telling me it wouldn't be possible.

Today, however, when I asked if there was a queue they told me no, and that I would be next. There were a number of people seated, but there usually are friends or colleagues hanging around - it's a fairly social place.
I waited thirty minutes, and they took two other customers in that time.

Maybe it was an anomaly, or maybe their standards have declined. Either way they stole my one window of opportunity to get a haircut this week and consequently earned themselves this 1-star review.

Best Barbershop in Victoria. Look no further. I cant say enough good things about Central Barbers.

Went for a haircut for the first time and got the most embarassing look ever. I asked for a medium cut and he cut it so short like dude.medium means the same everywhere not too SMALL but. MEEEDIUM. I never had this problem in the US or any other country before. Very disappointed! Can't believe I'm gonna have to carry this to work until my hair grows back. SMH

Went in with a general idea of what I wanted and Obi (?) knocked it out of the park. Super friendly staff, good music, clean environment with no harsh smells, clients all seemed happy, damn good price:) 10/10 would recommend! Tip these guys well, they deserve it!

I usually get 5-10 dollar haircuts. So this review is coming from someone who is very tolerant towards bad haircuts and terrible customer service.

A friend recommended Central Barbers.
Went in for a haircut on BC Day around 3pm. The line was long and there were 2 barbers (darcy and another middle aged guy with a nice beard). The decor was nice, the shop was quite neat and clean.

Everyone in line was waiting for the guy barber, he seemed to be quite competent at cutting hair. I didn't really discriminate, so I sat down on Darcy's chair (on the very left of the room). I told her that i wanted a 0-1 mid fade and don't touch the top. First red flag, she proceeds to start cutting without turning me to face the mirror. I didn't really think much of it, but then she proceeds to manhandle my head with the razor. I literally felt as if she was gonna puncture my scalp with the razor. At this point I should've spoken up, but since I'm a shy and introverted guy, I just endured it without saying anything. After around 5mins she finally turns me around to face the mirror. She basically shaved my head, and somehow the top was very uneven on the right side. When I voiced my concerns, she shut me down and said that's what I asked for. She told me "dont you ever sit on my chair ever again". I left and payed 15 with no tip. I went to the mall washroom to check in the mirror, I was horrified at the haircut (never in my life of getting $5 haircuts did I receive one that bad) so I decided to stand my ground and go back.
I asked if she could even out the top, she seemed very reluctant and kept on shouting at me about how I was unclear with my instructions and how she never wanted me to sit on her chair ever again. The other guy barber didnt step in to help me out, he just minded his own business and ignored me.

I ended up getting a terrible haircut, being roasted by an older lady and paying $15 for it.

What really angers me is the fact that Darcy reacted with such anger and aggressiveness, when I was talking/acting politely and respectfully. I reflected back at my deportment leading up to the incident, but I couldn't think of anything that I did to tigger or offend her. I am very confused as to why she treated me with such anger and hostility.

I hope no one receives that sort of unacceptable treatment.

To Central Barbers, maybe Darcy was having a really terrible day. However if this type of behaviour is a regular occurrence. I would recommend you make some cuts, it doesn't reflect well on the business as a whole if one barber is consistently mistreating your customers. It really ruins the professional and chill vibe/reputation of your shop.

Staff is friendly, very nice folks. Cuts are both pro and low-priced. All that, and conveniently located too.

Royaly messed up my hair. Have not returned since. Refused 2 pay i was so annoyed. Big difference between a 2 and a 4 clipper guard
