Really enjoyed and loved Chakra Indian restaurant's chole bhature. The bhature was soft fluffy and the chole was outstanding no Compromise on flavours and portion. A true 5 stars rating.

Chakra's food is incredibly good! Every time I order, it's consistent, and the staff are always so nice! They have a sauce for the samosas and pakora that is made with Tamarind, and it is amazing! Any dish I have ordered, the flavors are amazing. I highly recommend Chakra Indian Restaurant.

This place is a hidden gem of indian cuisine! Stick to the classics like butter chicken, dal makhani, shahi paneer, malai kofta and you will be delighted! Wonderful food and my son's favorite restaurant in Canada!

I was there today. There were two of us. She brought food to one and had to wait over twenty minutes for the other. Food was very oily and we left half food on table. Won't recommend this place.

Tried the chicken coconut, it had a lovely sweet rich sauce and the chicken was perfectly cooked.

Excellent food! When we went on a Friday evening there was no customers in the restaurant, but there was a steady flow of take out orders. The masala chai was very tasty and warming. We had the Chattnadi chicken and the lamb karahi. The Chattnadi chicken was delicately spiced, with clear flavors of garlic onion and tomato, with spoon-tender chicken pieces. The lamb karahi was a little gamy, but that's lamb! Its texture was very different from the karahi we normally have in Washington, in that it was thick and semi-solid rather than being a sauce.

They used to have good quality butter chicken back in 2021, but recently their food has become terrible. They used to give complimentary rice with the butter chicken but u have to pay for extra and they reduced the quantity of food they used to give but increased the price. Overall experience was very very bad.

The worst Indian food I've ever had. Don't waste your time or money. They have their child running their phone line so even when u ask to speak to an adult to resolve an issue the child always says they are busy. I have this place a second chance because it's in.you neighborhood but never again! I will stick to AGRA on Canada way! The food is the best ever and way better quality and portions
We ordered paneer pakora- they were four large pieces fried in a corn dog type batter which were not tasty. The coconut chicken was so salty and had 5 large pieces of over cooked chicken in it - not tasty and not easy for sharing. The paneer Naan had only one piece, usually we get two at other places.

The price went up bit but crazy~good portion of food and great taste. This is my 1st go place for Indian food.

We ordered like 4 dishes for pickup and they told us 30 minutes so we got to the restaurant 45 minutes later and they said said just 5 more minutes so we waited and they said actually just 10 more minutes so we kept waiting and it was more like 20 more minutes, so double your wait time if you're trying to eat here

We were looking for a new place to take out Indian food closer to us, and thought we’d give Chakra a try. We’re glad we did! Their portions are generous- easily enough for us to have leftovers. We ordered the butter chicken and lamb korma. Both were really tasty, the only mild complaint is that some of the chicken pieces were kind of tough. One rice serving for $4 provided enough for both of us + leftovers. I asked for the butter chicken to be mild spice which it was, but my husbands lamb korma that he requested medium spice on was more of a ‘hot’ level/ he found it to be quite spicy. The garlic naan was also delicious and a good size. This may be our new go-to!

We had our first take out experience with Chakra yesterday for late lunch. The food was hot when we got it home due to carefull packaging in a hefty paper bag. It was delicious and served in favorable portions. 100% will return.

Absolutely disgusting! I ordered from Uber eats and the butter chicken tasted like freezer burn meat and it was hard and tough to chew. So disappointed after working a long day and was looking forward to the food. It just ruins a whole persons day when a business can’t do there job right! Contacted the restaurant immediately since this had nothing to do with Uber eats. They had the audacity to tell me it’s not our problem you have to take it up with Uber eats or drive all the way here and bring it to us but still can’t offer you a refund! Totally frustrating. This was 0% Uber eats fault and 100% the restaurants fault. I would not recommend going or ordering from here.

I have been to Chakra within the last year since they have new management. Family run business with humble roots. Always great to support local business and this restaurant deserves five stars for effort to provide fresh authentic cuisine.
This past weekend they catered a large Hindu function with delicious vegetarian cuisine. My mother was in charge of organizing food for the event and found that the owner was very happy to cater. The food was hugely successful as it was not over-priced or heavy and oily. The menu consisted of appetizer pakoras and main meal was rice pulao, naan/tandoori roti, gobi aloo, makhni daal, palak paneer, raita and gulab jamun for dessert.
Not only did they deliver the food piping hot but they provided huge portions! There was enough leftovers for people to take home. They charged for catering at a reasonable rate and really delivered service with a smile. Added note: Their gulab jamun were delectable.
Make sure to support this family run restaurant, they are great!

Great Indian restaurant with solid portions. It’s a bit far from everything, so it wouldn’t be worth driving far to get to it, but if you live nearby, I’d heavily recommend trying this place out. The service was speedy and it wasn’t very busy when I went. Most dishes had options for spice levels which is really important to make sure you enjoy the meal.

Fantastic butter chicken and garlic naan to go along with the rice. Made to perfection and very delicious. Will continue to do take out from here. Just a fantastic Indian restaurant!

I waited 5 minutes, 5 minutes, 5 minutes until my food was half an hour late. I wish they didn't lie to their customers, I could've easily been running errands instead of sitting there waiting while they lie to me. Being straightforward and simply saying sorry we are way behind and will be a while goes a long way over lying. Will never eat here again food was mediocre and not worth the wait

I ordered food from this restaurant last night and was highly disappointed. Chicken curry was the worst I ever tried in my life. Special vegetable curry was just full of boiled vegetables. They just have weird tasting sauce in which they put boiled vegetables. No good taste. If you are expecting a real Indian taste from this restaurant then forget it!

Great service and food! I’m used to getting disappointed by Indian restaurants but this one is def my fave. I was a bit afraid of the price but their portions are huge! I recommend their biryanis for sure:)

Excellent hospitality, the taste of food was very good. The music being played could be a mix of classics and modern songs as well.

By far the best Indian food in north burnaby hands down. I order from this place almost every week sometimes more.

Hi, Very spicy biryani doesn’t mean that you serve mixture of Chicken curry, rice and a bottle of hot chilli sauce. One would expect to get meat marinated in Indian spices. One suggestion, please change the name to Chicken Pulao coz it isn’t a Biryani.

Food was "okay" nothing recommendable. But hated customer care, no one was out to wait on customers had to walk into kitchen to call them out. And rat was running around. Definitely will not go back or recommend this place

I stumbled upon this one and decided to try and so glad I did. We grabbed take out chicken biryani and vegi platter. The food was very good and tasty. The portions were very large I ate at lunch and saved for dinner too:) pretty happy with the service seems like run by a nice small family and little boy was helping parents too:) thank you for providing the community with such a wonderful and tasteful food. If you are around give it a try:)

We love this place! Super satisfying and delicious. My husband is a tough Indian food critic with high expectations and he always enjoys our meals here. Our usual is a variety of Korma, Tikka Masala, Aloo Gobi, Pilau Rice and Nan. The lentil dishes are also very good and the veggie pakoras! Thank you Chakra Restaurant

Hard to communicate with waitress. I repeated for 10 times and told her spelling as well, but she gave me wrong order. + The order was late. This was second time for the same situation. Never gonna order again.

Holy Molly my expectations on this place where low but holy moly. It's one of the best places I have ever been I just love it if you wanna try the real flavors of India you should come to this place! Love the butter chicken and the lamb. Really good place

Their Aloo Gobhi is excellent. Almost too good, because every time I think about eating here I just want to get the Aloo Gobhi again. I found the service efficient and friendly as well. It’s not a Vegan restaurant but the young woman who took my order was very helpful and accommodating on my first visit; substituting the dressing on their Buddha Salad for something that fit my diet. There’s a decent amount of interior seating too with a pleasant atmosphere and comfortable booths so, overall, quite an enjoyable place to go if you’re looking for somewhere to dine in. Highly recommended.

We tried Chakra for the first time this week and while there was a serious hiccup with our order (items forgotten twice) we were okay with it given how delicious the food was. The dinner special for $16 is so much food there was plenty left for lunch the next day, the raita was flavourful and paired perfectly with the channa masala. We'll definitely be back!

The food was delicious! Three of us shared a lamb, a prawn and a Chicken dish with garlic naan, rice and a beer each for $99 plus tip. Even had leftovers to take home. Will definitely go there again.

It’s my first time to order chicken 65 in this restaurant but it’s really disappointing because it’s not What expecting for the chicken 65.they give me a very salty and dried chicken.it’s like chicken chunk that soak on a watery flour that make the food soggy. I definitely won’t comeback in this restaurant and it will be my first and last and I won’t recommend to anyone to order some food from this restaurant

I ordered vegetable thali from this restaurant and I was so disappointed with the food service. Naan was surely not fresh I am pretty sure it’s from last night because of its after taste and their daal taste the same like not fresh. I was expecting a lot after seeing the reviews but it’s not worth the hype. Would never order again And will never recommend it to anyone. And my stomach started hurting after.

Chicken tasted dry and no flavour. Butter chicken sauce was okay, didn't taste much flavour other than spice, was soupy more than creamy.

I ordered cheese and spinach naan, the bottom was burnt, but there was lots of spinach not much cheese.

Its a great hole in thr wall indian spot. I've never been disappointed. Large portions bold flavors and really friendly owners and staff. Excellent lunch special, value and portion can't be beat.

First order from here so to be safe, I ordered the Indian restaurant generic: butter chicken + naan combo. Very tasty, great portion & really good for the price!

As an Indian I highly approve. The butter chicken is a lot better than most restaurants I’ve been to. The eggplant and the veggie Khorma were also fantastic

This was the King Mahal restaurant but it's under new management.
The paneer pakora was quite filling but mild flavour. I liked the tamarind dipping sauce more than the mint but that's a preference. The garlic naan was delicious; slightly chewy, moist, lots of butter. I got the 'as mild as they can' butter chicken and it was mouth watering. It was spicy enough to be flavorful but not too much that it took away from the enjoyment. The medium spicy that he got was flavourful and he broke out in a sweat.

Best indian food in canada. I have tried food in many indian restraunt including tandoori flames missisagua bramton and surrey but this restraunt outweights all. Excellent cook. Dal makhni and karai paneer was fabulous.

Quaint tucked away Indian Restaurant in the heart of the Burnaby Heights neighbourhood at 4051 Hastings Street.

My family and I have re-visited this restaurant half a dozen times since their launch. The service is very friendly, they go to great lengths to make your dining experience an experience in delicious flavours, meat and veggie lovers will enjoy the taste.

My favourite food is the tandoori chicken, and I've eaten it multiple times. They have weekday lunch specials that are great for the budget conscious.

The ambiance is cozy and inviting, and the mood is enjoyable and relaxing. The price is comparable to other Indian food restaurants.

Authentic Indian taste! Loved the Dal Makhni, dhaba style! Special mention for Naan - if you crave for proper tandoori naan then this is a place to go! Will definitely go back there anytime!
