The system and coupon never work, every single time you have to let the cashier know that the item is discounted, they don't bother to check themselves. I bought Quick Haleem mix, the cashier scanned the item twice, despite me telling her that she scanned it twice she didn’t pay attention, she kept saying that she voided one of them.after I paid, i showed the receipt which clearly shows two of the same items scanned, but it was taking her forever to process a refund, had to leave cause I was running late. Poor customer service as always. Fix your system and train your employees well.

Brought this peri peri chicken kebab from here. I would recommend not to buy even if you are having your last meal. Excess salt and oil make it worse. There was no binding of kebab. The taste was different as compared to chicken. Please stop selling these rubbish things. Customer's money is not free money. It's hard work money.

This place has the cheapest lays magic masala out of all the other big stores. Except Costco I guess, since they started selling the huge party pack.

It is a store that we need in our neighborhood. It is what we were waiting for. Personally, I prefer to do my grocery shopping here than anywhere else.

Super! The service provided by the girl at self checkout was awesome. I don’t know her name as she was not wearing name tag. But her customer service was superb. I was already frustrated from the customer service from Walmart but she made my day.

Wal mart is good nut in the newton or.any Surrey store it's just jam packed because of all the punjabis or any immigrant.

Never has anything that is advertised for sale that week. Their excuse is suppliers didn't send goods. False advertisement. No rainchecks given either.
Chicken breast boxes 2.5 kg on sale for $25.00. The box shrank. The 4 kg box used to be $25.00 on sale now its $38.00

I have tried shopping here on multiple occasions (as it used to be my go-to store Safeway before changing). Every time I regret my decision. Pushy customers, rude staff and very limited selection. The floor is always sticky and many veggies are rotten on display.

I paid a visit to this store a couple of days ago to see if the customer service had improved. I had previously ventured to this store when it first opened and at that time the customer service was atrocious. It hasn't changed. They should set up a counter to deal with issues like refund and exchanges. Lucky me I was behind a customer returning one item that had the cashier dealing with this matter for at least 10 minutes. Meanwhile she had a lineup of (5) customers behind me-this was at the 1 -16 items till. Furthermore, the self serve tills were all closed. The staff here are unaware of good customer service. This cashier didn't even apologize for taking so much time with this customer. She did get someone else to come and help, I assume it was a supervisor and that supervisor didn't dawn on her to take this matter to another till so the flow of the lineup could move faster. Furthermore, this was at a non-peak time of day (12: 30 pm). Can you imagine the chaos if this occurred at 4 - 5 pm?

Saturday around 9.30pm, I went heir for shopping but I have not any coin for cart than I told my problem to one of your staff member, that girl standing close to cashier gave me coin for cart. After finishing my shopping I returned the same to cashier.

Love this location they have great weekly sales on the staff is friendly helpful and the store is beautifully clean

They advertise big about their flyer and guarantee if flyer item runs out a raincheck will be issued with 10% discount
However they fell short on their guarantee Went to buy black diamond motszerella cheese at Chalo Fresco they had no stock but refused to give rain check stating it was not in their system Didn't make any sense so had to call member of management and after arguing back and forth she agreed to give me the rain check
Staff who issued the rain check was rude and abrupt

Very nice! Pricing is also very good.but the customer service leaves you o hold for 5 min then talks to u. Giving 5 because I know they are good and can only get better

The staff at this location are awesome. Keep in mind, the staff at the till are also your customer service representatives. Respect! One of the onions I chose a week ago was rotten when I opened it (not uncommon, lots of grocery stores have this issue with yellow onions). The lady at check-out who dealt with me named "Harpreet D". She was fabulous! I love coming to Chalo.

Went first thing this morning to pick up a couple of things. Put on my mask as it states on the entrance that masks are mandatory. Tried the hand sanitizer bottle pump a couple of times and it was empty. Walked into the store and noticed a few staff weren't wearing masks. Went to the cash register to pay for my purchase and a mouse scurried under the cash register. Alerted the cashier about the mouse and hand-sanitizer. She phoned the manager on duty who arrived momentarily.not wearing a mask.

No distancing and people with masks ridiculous worn. Even who is working there is not following the covid-19 protocol for wearing masks. Didn't feel safe at all. Also they need to check the expiration date on product because I found many expired. My suggestion to who goes there to buy food check the best before date!

I went into store to pick up a few essentials at Strawberry Hill. One item I picked up was sour cream and once at home had added it to my recipe then needed to discard because I noticed that the best before date was Oct. 16. The date I shopped was OCT. 27. THE PRODUCT WAS OUTDATED BY 11 DAYS! It is obvious no one rotates stock or checks best before dates. The best they offered was new product or a refund. I will never shop there again! They do not even have a customer service desk. This sure is a no frills organization when customers do not matter. I want to shop local but when this happens I will shop elsewhere.

Dear white folks although this grocery store caters to a South Asian clientele they also have everything you typically want in a grocery store (at the same price) with the added bonus (if you are adventurous) to find of some of your new favorites.

Be very careful of what you buy here and check the expiry date for every singe product. We bought some frozen food but didn't realise that it had expired 3 months earlier. For frozen food to have expired, it must have been sitting there for a really long time.

Update: Employee at the meat section refused to put on a mask or gloves while packing my meat.

The store owner doesn't even seem to be bothered.

I come here often for groceries since it's near my work but their produce section is really disappointing. The fruits and veggies always look old and starting to go moldy. They do have some unique chicken flavours but I prefer to buy meats and veggies from Safeway or Save On Foods.

I dont understand why masks are not mandatory here, and the management is so poor that no social distancing is being practised during billing at the Til.

One person is putting the stuff in the bag and other customer behind just barges in with no manners to practise social distancing. Management is Awful.

Sale prices were good once you get past the large South Asian selection and into the north American selections. You have to check expiry dates on perishables. I couldn't find a single clerk on the floor to ask where I could find an item.
The check out had short lines (late afternoon) and was fairly fast but you have to pack your own groceries and there aren't any perks like points.
I'd probably go there for the sales but not a regular shop as there's just too much to wade through to get to what I want plus there isn't anything to make it stand out from the other local discount stores.
If they'd wanted to bring in people, they should have created more of a Whole Foods experience which is missing locally.

Surprised with the quality of the fresh vegetables and fruits. Fairly priced. You have to carry a $0.25 coin in order to operate the carts. Staff are friendly and helpful. Ample parking spots.

Fresh co is an really amazing store. I love doing my grocery shopping there because the prices are fair and the staff is really helpful.

Worst Experience ever, we were shopping when so called store manager named "Travis" came and threat us to get out or he is going to kick us out. He was so rude and was threating us till end. Instead of apologise he ran to the backroom. How come a store manager with no name tag on his vest ran to the backroom. Some of the employees apologize on his behalf, but your store manager came back and was rude again to us. Can I have any of the owner or regional manager to contact me. At least hire people who can help customers in this crisis.
