Chatime metrotown

Hi David, I’m store manager of the Chatime in Metrotown. Thank you for your review, we are so sorry about you had such an experience.
We take every issue very seriously, but this cup of Golden Aged Black tea is definitely not from Metrotown Chatime cuz we checked the orders in the last two weeks 9/25-10/6 and did not find this drink.
Could you let me know when to come to Metrotown Chatime.

Brown sugar Oatmilk with pearls or grass jelly is my go to drink

I dont know about other reviews but i love their service. Most of the time i buy my drinks from there. On Sunday evening 16th of July there were almost 3-4 people were working. All of them were so great at their work. Either it’s customer service, speed of service, food quality or whatever, they were 10 out of 10.

Wow what happened to chatime? I got a standard milk tea. It was extremely watered down. It didn't even taste like there was tea in it. It just tasted like milk, water and a lot of sugar despite asking for half sweet and less ice. There's better bbt places in the mall.

I ordered roasted milk tea from this location. The cashier kevin is super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!

Went and got their daily special matcha but not much matcha tasted watery and milky quite disappointing never had a matcha latte as bad was this

Costumer service was just horrendous. 1-10 it’s -10. They are very rude and talked about me right in front of my face in Chinese just because I can’t understand it. I was buying a Bt21 cup and they won’t sell it just the cup. So I wanted to get a tea with the BT21 cup on the side they still won’t do it. If you’re gonna have an event you should be able to sell the merchandise. The other employee on the side was saying yes to do it but the one I had was just beyond rude and has zero costumer service and did not care about costumer satisfaction. What is a business without paying costumers like myself. I flew all the way from winnipeg to get a cup like this and they won’t even sell it. Worst cha-time ever! Will never ever recommend this place. Especially if you’re not Chinese do not go here.

Don't bother going to this location if you want to redeem your birthday voucher. I showed the staff my voucher on my app yet they refused to accept it. They said my account on the system indicated no vouchers, yet I showed them it was clearly available on my account on the app. The voucher on the app has a scanable barcode so I'm not sure why they wouldn't accept it / did not want to try scanning it. They told me to take a screenshot of the voucher and email head office for an email coupon. Seems like a very flawed process to have to email for an email coupon when they promote the use of the app and the voucher is available on the app.

I went to the Royal Oak and Kingsway location and redeemed the voucher no problem.

Line was long so ordered online. My order was simple red bean matcha. Got my order way after the customers who ordered after me. Didnt even meet the pickup time. Why suggest online ordering if its gonna be served later

Convenient location. Long queues but great bubble teas! The cashier can be a little bit friendlier.

Cashier did not ask me for ice and sugar level and got my extra topping order wrong. When I tried to correct them they did not want to fix it

I don’t recommend anyone here.
The female staff wearing glasses refused to pass my drink that was already made and sat on the counter in front of me.
When I asked her if it was my drink, she said that it was not mine. She then put it aside and made me extra wait and finally passed me the same drink.
During I was waiting, a weird customer who seemed mental issues bothered me.
If the staff passed my drink earlier, I didn’t need to experience such an uncomfortable time.
I will never come back here again.

Decent Chatime?

Most drinks are good, I come here a lot when I want bbt and I'm shopping at Metro. Better than the little tea house beside Superstore, but now in 2022 is sub-par compared to the Coco's near The Bay.

Order speed is fast. Processing time is normal and acceptable. Price is ok, pretty similar to other competitors. Credit cards accepted. Located near the entrance of metrotown from skytrain and bus station. Drink taste not bad. Employees are basically friendly, but not everyone. However, the taste is not stable, which different everytime, sometomes good, sometime horroble, as well as the portion.

Good service, sweet drinks. Great place to go if you wanna chill out for 10mins Monday afternoon.

Chatime apparently doesn’t take gift cards even though they still sell them? So inconvenient, absurd policy, waste of money. Why sell gift cards and not take them? No one knows and neither do the clueless workers. Very disappointed - will be taking business elsewhere. Better Business Bureau will be interested to hear about this new “policy”.

Got the BT21 Kosmos drink with coconut jelly and a lychee green tea with aloe. Both were larges - totally forgot to ask for the purple packet that I was supposed to get. So I didn't get one

Line was pretty long when I got there but it moved pretty fast and I didn't feel pressured to order quickly. The wait to get my drink was reasonable given the big line as well, so they're pretty efficient.

Drinks were yummy as expected altho 50% sugar was still a bit sweet for me. Will need to go down to 30% next time.

A good and convenient place to grab some boba. I found the drink quality fluctuates with the time of day, mid-day being higher and late night being lower. Sometimes my order will be great, other days a little meh. The staff are always nice here though.

Really good service! Friendly and quick. Good location. Close to skytrain station.
However, the drinks were not as good as we had hoped. Brown sugar milk tea was not as good as the other leading brand. Matcha smoothie was a bit plain. Will try other flavours next time

Sadly the worst bubble tea I've had. Service was quick but the drink was watered down and tasteless. I ordered a chocolate malt milk tea and it tasted like cold water, no malt flavour, no milk tea flavour. They also didn't bother to ask if I wanted roasted or regular milk tea like the other locations.

I am a chatime regular and this location was very disappointing.

EDIT: I have had the option of roasted or regular at two other locations offered previously without my asking, of course I don't know which is company policy but it can be done. I didn't keep the receipt but it was purchased within 10 min from when I initially posted the review.

My favorite branch of Chatime, this place is so peaceful and a great environment for if you wanna study or take your time to just chill with a friend and catch up! Try the new bubble tea they have, the golden milk tea which is for celebration of their 10 years anniversary, you won’t regret it;)

After reading several past reviews, the service I received was decent. They offer the usual milk teas, signature drinks, slush & juice and jelly drinks with different levels of sugar and ice in your drink.

What makes them standout from other bubble tea places is the brown sugar pearls. Like anything else, if you want extras it’ll cost you.

They are located near Zara, the clothing store in Metrotown Mall.

Horrible service!
My teenager son got his bubble tea with cash.
They never get back to him any change for some reason.

I can’t describe how blunt my drink turned out to be. I’m not coming back again. Very devastated.

Chatime at other locations are pretty decent but the metrotown location is inconsistent. First time, the milk made me sick. Second time, there was hardly any tea flavour; it was like drinking sugar water with just a hint of tea. I think this franchise is trying to cut costs and it shows in the quality of the drinks.

Ordered a matcha milk tea. The drink was not good. It tasted very diluted and left a weird taste after each sip. The workers were very nice though. Overall, I would not recommend getting milk tea from this chain. Save your money or try a different milk tea chain.

Apparently you can just go to the counter and steal someone’s order when it’s busy, because the team there doesn’t verify order numbers.

Here’s what happened:

I waited for 15 minutes for my drink. When I realized something was off, I went to check on my drink.

That’s when they admitted someone stole my drink. There were absolutely no communication, no remorse, no apologies.

“We’re making it now for you. What do you expect? ”

Earl Gray bubble tea is great. Perfect amount of pearls. Ordered with UberEats. Fast delivery and not too sweat; which I like.

I came by twice to redeem my free drink. The first time, the cashier said I couldn’t redeem any drink on promotion poster AFTER my purchase. The second time, another cashier said ”No you can’t. You can’t today. ” then I asked why and what drink I could redeem or I could come back the next day. - No, you can’t. I don’t know I’m not sure.
No given reason. Not a proper solution.
SHOULD I KNOW THE ANSWER OR THE FREE DRINK SHOWN IN MY APP IS A SCAM?

Bad service. Especially the cashier girl. She was rude, impatient and bit aggressive. Other staff making the drinks were nice though.

I must admit, usually I always go for a milk-based bubble tea since fruit Teas seem a waste of money in comparison. However, after a whim on a warm day I was totally blown away at the Peachy Lychee Green Tea series, super yummy! I recommend partnering this with Coconut Jelly for the perfect fresging combo of taste bud heaven on a warm afternoon or evening.
To say this is a new Chatime joint in Greater Van, the staff were knowledgeable and on this occasion made delicious drinks in comparison to others I have visited.
A great location nestled in the mall not far from the food court, would definitely revisit and has improved my perspective on the Chatime franchise.
They offer oat-milk dairy alternative and a loyalty reward scheme which is awesome.
