Chatime New West

My partner needed to use the bathroom as an emergency. Despite my partner promising to purchase a drink following the bathroom use, the worker for today's shift (and at this time) forced her to hold it in, pay for a drink first, then use the bathroom.

I understand that there is a no public bathroom policy.
I understand the safety concerns surrounding the reasoning behind this.
My partner and I, however, live within a 1 block radius to the New Westminster establishment,
and my partner had promised to purchase a drink following the needed use of the bathroom.

Due to my partner feeling humiliated in this establishment, we will no longer be returning with our business nor suggesting this branch to those within our neighbourhood.

Horrible unempathetic service.
I am terribly disappointed and will no longer be doing business with the New Westminster branch of Chatime.

I often get overwhelmed looking at their menus so it's best to look up what you'd like to have before you walk into the place. That being said, they have a wide variety of flavours to stimulate all areas of your taste buds and moods!

Very clean. Great service, we got our 3 drinks in 5 minutes. Tasted great! They have 3 different sizes: regular, large, extra large. They have Boba and 3 flavors of popping boba: lychee, green apple and another one I can't remember.

Please learn at least basic communication and fix the washroom door so people don’t get stuck inside!

It was such a bad experience for me. Chatime need to check the communication skills and customer service skills before hiring people. The lady at the front don't have manners to talk and she was saying that she the owner of the store. If the owner have no etiquettes to deal with their customers then I don't know how they are running the store.

Every time I come here the service just continues to get worse. They seriously need to rethink about hiring better people, especially from the lack of customer service when all you do is deal with customers all day! There would be times when several people would be working (not busy) and they would ignore me instead of taking my order and just stand there talking not even about work related things. I waited a while to come back in hopes it would change and their attitude has gotten worse, I give them my money and they aggressively take it and when giving the rest back they toss it at me. They’re attitude is always negative and not enthusiastic, makes you never want to come back. The wait time and customer service is overall awful I’d prefer to go somewhere else. Chatime used to be my number one go to. It’s sad they continue to let these kinds of people work here to ruin the experience for others.

My friends had been there claims about they didn’t give him the peral, the owner there had bad attitude, saying that he can easily find out if there’s no peral and can tell the stuff in store. Will Never go to this chatime, they should change a new owner

Inconsistent service. I would rather go to a different chatime even though this location is walking distance from my home because they mess up my drinks way too many times

Good tea, I got bad service and surly attitude form a young girl. There is the worst experience that I’ve ever encountered in any Chatime. Sept. 28,6 PM. I’ll never go to this CHATIME again.

Me and friends went there last Tuesday for the bubble tea. The bubble tea was taste fine but we had a very terrible experience from young lady who made bubble tea for us. I think she is unenthusiastic and inexperienced in customer service.i dont think i will go there next time.

I've been there a few times, they have a huge (quite overwhelming) variety of drinks and the staff is not the best on recommending or guiding you through their options. This last time I ordered something with Mango and Dragon Fruit, it literally tasted like water, nothing more. I think is the last time I'll go there

I do a lot of reviews and rarely give only one star. My main concern is safety because multiple reviews say they found plastic shards in their drinks. Fortunately, this did not happen to me.

The cashier who entered my order did it correctly. The person making my drink made it wrong. 3 times. I ordered a hot hazelnut drink with pudding topping, but it had pearls instead. I tried to explain, but she didn't understand and made me a new drink. She gave me pearls again. I explained that the topping is wrong again, then she got upset at the cashier because he was new. So I explained that if she opened the first drink and looked at the bottom, she would see that it was wrong. Finally, after some back and forth, she understood and made the correct drink, except it had very little pudding topping.

I can see why there are so many poor reviews for this location. They have the most 1-star review average, and the lowest rating for all the bubble tea shops in the area. I'm especially concerned about the MULTIPLE reviews that found plastic shards in the drinks! This is my main concern. Safety. Otherwise, this would be a 3 star review because the drinks are mediocre.

With so many other bubble tea places in the area, I won't be coming back.

Visited on Jan 27,2021. Ordered 2 drinks with pearls. Paid for the pearls but one drink didn't have them. Wait time was long and was denied the use of gift card. Had to reason with staff and question why I was not allowed to use the giftcard. After some back and forth, I was able to pay with the card. 2 stars because the 1 drink that was prepared accurately tasted good.

Basically same issue as other. Been waiting 3+ hours no drink still.

We never received the order, order said completed. They don't respond to phone calls or emails.

Boycott this franchise. Not worth

If I could give a 0 star I would, honestly some of the worse service I have received in a long time. As a business owner I am shocked and disappointed in the manner the employee treated me while my visit. My friends and I were not greeted and were spoken in a short and rude manner. My bubble tea tasted awful and I was not offered a refund or to remake my drink.we will not be coming back and will be telling other to avoid this location. Hoping this place gets better employees and hires people who don't hate costumer service. I was at this location on April. 29th.around 2 pm.

This has been the worst Chatime I've been to. Service is always slow, today I showed up 15 minutes before closing and they were already closing up.

Just look at the bad reviews! First time trying in New west, This place is really cheap on products. I ordered 2 supercup drinks one was supposed to be extra sweet which it wasn't and the other less ice. My partner called in and they said they would replace both drinks and I went in today. The manager there said i will replace one drink smaller size even though i paid for the super-sized. I will not return to this place because they are cheap in there products and its customer service is horrible tells me that it's not there fault, basically installing it was my fault for ordering what I wanted. When you pay for something you should get it. Look at the picture says less ice red line is where they filled it to. Paid 20 for 2 drinks and also left a tip as well for poorly made drinks and Got one 5 dollar drink.

Lots of different flavours in this shop. Sometimes they run out of the most popular ones though. No dine in, just take out due to COVID-19.

The bubble tea that I ordered had some serious amount of plastic shards on it: (Pretty sure it was an accident as it has never happened before on my previous orders but it is pretty dangerous and glad I did not give the drink to my kids. Please be careful next time as this is not good at all.

Definitely need to teach their staff how to wear a mask. Female staff member is just casually walking around without a mask chatting with other staff members and interacting with public. Do better.

First time, they were rude and ignored me, just kept talking behind the counter while I was standing there waiting to order. They stopped talking eventually, looked at me and I asked if I could order. They said NO and said they didn't have the supplies. Like what? Lol I awkwardly turned around and left. I stayed away for a while, but went in today, 2nd chance, the woman at the counter kept touching her face and hair while making my drink. During COVID19 No hygiene, I was grossed out.
Won't be back.

It's a clean and open environment which would be nice for studying or sitting down. The employee operating the till however, had very poor mannerism. She did not greet me, let alone did not exchange a single word as I was ordering on behalf of my family. Instead she only nods her head with a very passive expression on her. No line up at this time either, it was a near empty shop. I understand customer service isn't expected when you're going in to order bubble tea somewhere and I know what it is like working in the food service industry too, but that is not an excuse to pass a bad attitude onto someone else. Unfortunate to have my first experience at this location be based on this employees interaction. Please retrain.

Long wait. They focus in delivery orders.waited close to 10 mins and they still wouldn't take our orders.ended up leaving.back to Bubble World.

Very good service. Only 1 person working but she was thorough and still made sure the customers were happy.

Good service and the stuffy machine is so fun. The brown sugar with fresh milk taste so good. Good environment to study. People there are so nice and they played k-pop when I was there. Love there so much!

I am a chatime fan in the beginning. I was at this place today and ordered regular wintermelon milk tea 0% sugar and no ice. When i got my order, the barista told me he put a lil bit of ice because it taste better with ice. I told him not to do that next time because as a regular customer like me i know how i want my milk tea. Other than that tjr place is very nice, neat and not too crowded.

Great service! Always have a pleasant experience at Chatime. The bubble tea is always good. I recommend the roasted milk tea, it's the only place I know that offers it. Convenient location right by the school and sky train.

Had their bubble tea twice and feel like the tea is very watered down and diluted: (the plus side is that they accept credit and have cute crane games in the corner!

I tried almost 90% of the chatime menu. And various location including Toronto, Barrie, Vancouver, Langara, Metrotown, Bangladesh. Tried this whiskey flavoured none alcoholic ice tea. I don't know what whiskey tastes like. But it was kinda good but not me. It's drinkable but I’m not a fan of this flavour. You can try if you love whiskey I guess.
