Went in for a haircut and will not be going back. She used clippers with no guard or comb and one side by my ear is shorter than the other. Have wedding to attend in two weeks, hopefully its grown in by then

Staff are amazing kind and engaging. My hair dresser Katrina does an amazing cut. 5 stars from someone who has not been to a hair dresser in years.

Bless you, Brae at Atmosphaire for fixing the unsightly mess a stylist from Chatters Tillicum did to my hair! You made my hair look even better than before the Chatters stylist ruined it. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You are extremely talented:) I'm so happy!
My hair pre-Chatters appointment: very nice, natural looking blonde highlites done by a super talented STUDENT stylist at Academy of Excellence in September.
Nov 9 I went in to Chatters to get my dark roots w/grey colored and add a few face-framing blonde highlites. The stylist seemed inexperienced, so she was being advised by another stylist, whom I assume was a senior stylist? Over 3 hours later.
My hair post-Chatters appointment: ugly, coppery blonde roots with the rest of my hair a dull, lifeless, mousy brown. She toned away all my blonde highlites and made a mess of the roots; light roots and dark hair, not very attractive.
I had to pay $129 for this atrocity; was offered to come back the next day for a complimentary re-do because "sorry I can't fix it tonight, we are closing and it's my Friday, I'm going out of town, I'll get another stylist to fix it for you for free tomorrow, etc. " I can't believe you are not ashamed of your work being seen in public, letting a client leave looking like a freak, and not officially owning up to, and apologizing, for your mistake; rather making lame excuses and trying to bulls**t your way out of why my hair turned out that way. Incidentally, I am an extremely generous tipper; even when I'm not entirely happy with a service, I still manage to give a small tip because I am a nice person. This time, I just couldn't allow myself to tip a cent.
The stylist I was supposed to see the next day at Chatters for my complimentary re-do was the senior (?) stylist who advised the original stylist in the first place, so I was not exactly confident in her abilities either. Needless to say, I did not show up for my appointment. This is not usually how I roll; I prefer to phone and cancel, but this entire experience has left me with complete apathy towards Chatters. I deserve my $129 refunded, but I doubt very much I will ever see that money again.very expensive mistake, sadly.
Never again, Chatters. Done with you.

My hair was cut so short on the top and is absolutely nothing like my reference photo, i’m upset with how it looks and I wont be returning back to chatters any time soon. This haircut was nothing like any of the photos I had shown and it is so short I cant style it properly to anything I would want, I am very upset with the outcome of this haircut and it’s probably my worst case scenario.

My mother recently came to visit the salon to get a fairly decent hair experience. She had shown the stylist a photo of what she wanted and they agreed that this could be something she would be able to achieve.

The photos attached will show the expectation my mother, the client had.

Following the appointment the stylist posted (photo attached) on her Instagram about how her expectations were unrealistic for the time and money that was willing to be spent, even though she had agreed to complete the job for her.

I reached out to the stylist to share how doing this is poor business etiquette. My mother had no idea that her hair would be used at all in this way. It was disrespectful and unprofessional especially in the presentation, using emojis as light banter.

I hope that this is addressed accordingly. I completely understand that sometimes you have to adjust clients expectations when it's not possible however doing so requires an appropriate amount of communication and it seems like there was none of that in the experience here.

I used to previously go in downtown hair salon style before moving to Victoria. This place is great, ; I have curly hair waivy and get great haircut without needing kerarstine treatment. My coworker going to the same place have great style women shorter hair with some length. They do follow the Covid- protocol perfectly. And minimize shippers keep social distancing more seriously than most groceries and super stores.

Staff was extremely rude, wouldnt let me stay with my 7 year old daughter for her hair appointment. (both complying with mask rules) Im 9 months pregnant and they told me to go walk around the mall for 40 mins. Wasnt happy about this at all.

She did not covered my gray back hair which I did not see at the sallon and I did not get the same colour that I want it and the flat brush I have got was terrible my hair was still fluffy and frizzy. I will never do my hair here again

I haven’t been to a salon since March 2020 due to my Covid fears and Chatters in Tillicum mall was suggested to me because I could walk there. The staff was very friendly as soon as I walked in and the precautions taken to ensure my safety and health were very comforting. I had a consult with the stylist, Rebecca, and we discussed several options. (I was going from long to short) She understood exactly what I wanted and would explain what she was doing and the effects. Rebecca was very friendly and professional and I love the new cut.
I had passed by the salon numerous times but found it too intimidating to go in because of all the products displayed at the entrance. I always thought it was like a salon supplies shop and you’d have to endure some hard sales pitches on the various products. But it wasn’t at all.
I would recommend them and highly recommend Rebecca.

I feel like it can be a bit hit and miss here so only four stars. But our service today would be five stars. The stylist was awesome with our toddler and did a great cut.

Excellent hair cut, got me in quickly. Maybe its been that long since I went to a shop (home clipper cuts) or Covid has raised prices, but 36 bucks before tip for a trim seemed like a lot for 45 minutes of work? But.a job well done.

Walked in, only had to wait 15 min. Had a great haircut! My stylist listened exactly to what I wanted. I love it! I will def go back again.

Nicole give an excellent hair cut. I like an inverted bob and have had challenges finding a stylist for this cut. She gives an excellent hair cut and the grow out is lovely. Thank you Nicole

Worst Chatters in Canada - I have been to many Chatters salons over the past 7 years and have never had a problem before. Staff is rude at this location and Manager is non-existent. Between this horrible day at Chatters and their dropping the Rusk line, I am moving on to a more customer friendly salon.
I have warned my own friends and customers about this salon.
