I have pretty curly hair and they said they would book me with someone who could cut curly hair, i go to my appointment and the barber that im booked with says she doesn’t know how to cut curly hair, i really appreciate the honesty to avoid messing up my hair, a little disappointed that i was told i was going to be booked with someone who could.

Amber did an amazing job on both my cut and colours. She blended in my greys beautifully while being careful not to unnecessary damage my already fragile hair. My hair feels in better condition than before, and the colours are rich and dimensional. We had a great convo the whole appointment during which she gave me great product recommendations, both for my hair and my daughters. Along with being a master at her craft, it’s obvious Amber is really invested in giving you a style you love. Excited to book with her again soon and will recommend her to friends!

Most Chatters locations have the same layout inside, decor etc. This place had a garage door at the front, different! Got to admit that I liked it and inside the style / cutting area was cool.

Anyway, typical guy observations aside, the service is great! They accommodated my wife even though it was short notice. She was pleased with the service and the cut. We are definitely coming back!

I went to Chatters in Langford for the first time a week ago. Israel did a lovely job cutting my hair, and I'll definitely be going back. Very friendly people, very clean salon.

I've gone to Flo for years and have had a variety of hair cuts, from complicated bobs to shaggy layers. Highly recommend her!

Sorry, has got to be the worst place in Victoria I’ve gotten a haircut from. They spent less than 25 minutes and it was a whopping $60+. Like are you for real? The service was also poor. I asked for layers and did not get any as I specified. This was in 2021 but still relevant cause I can’t forget this awful experience.

If I could I would give 0 start, I was never been so mistreated by a hairstylist.
I called one week before to confirm that they have experience with toddler haircut (18 months specifically), as they did confirmed I booked an appointment - Kids at this age tend to cry and take time to feel safe until they’re more settled.
The hairstylist was probably expecting him to arrive and sit as an adult. So as soon as we sat my son obviously got scared and cried and she asked us to LEAVE and said that she couldn’t do it - Then told us to try other places.
Seriously, no empathy or professionalism to wait a few minutes until the kid was more settled to start her job.
If you don’t have experience with young kids do not advertise that you have it, so you save people time and disappointment.

Expensive, but so far all hairstylists were kind, listened to my hair issues, have good advice all experienced with cutting curly hair.

STAY AWAY! The staff are inexperienced and lie about their expertise. I was initially told what I wanted couldn’t be done without losing 5 inches of my hair… I then ended up with a dye job worse than a box dye. I went elsewhere and got everything corrected without more than a trim. And when you ask to speak to a manager multiple times almost a week can go by without a word. If you’re going to chatters just go to Shoppers and buy a box it’ll save you $250+ dollars and look better!

Lauren did an amazing job lightening up my blonde! She knew exactly what I wanted and accomplished it perfectly. She was extremely friendly and easy to talk to as well. I highly recommend booking an appointment with her.

Customer service is awesome from front desk staff who are always smiling and cheerful when you come in and when you are leaving, Shannon is a great stylist who asks and listens to what you want and let's you know what's what with your hair. Pleasure to have you hair looked after by such great people.

Great location and really really friendly staff. I have been going here for the last few years, have used services of a few stylists, but now I am sticking with Misty. I am just a guy with unruly curly hair, and she/they do a good job taming it for me.

I saw Misty today for an undercut and loved it! She is super down to earth but also very talented. I showed her a picture and 10-15 minutes later I left with exactly what I wanted. Misty seemed very knowledgeable and kind and definitely not pushy. My whole experience there was great - quick, easy and priced well too! I would have loved my experience there even in pre-covid world too, but during these difficult times, the shop was very clean, there is lots of space between chairs, there are barriers between clients and everyone wore a mask. And actually properly, not under their noses like most people do when they have to wear the mask all day. I was very impressed.

Highly recommend chatters for both haircuts and if you need product! I got my haircut there for the first time after they reopened and was impressed with how clean it was. The sales staff were really helpful recommending shampoo for me as well.

I have a few hair cuts here since reopening after covid. The environment feels safe and have had good haircuts. The cut I just got however was terrible. Never gone for a haircut and had my beard messed up before.

I am immune compromised and haven't been out much because of the pandemic, but ran out of my shampoo and conditioner and didn't know how to safely get it. I phoned this salon to see if they offered free shipping but instead they offered that I could pay for my product over the phone and they would bring it outside the front door for me so I wouldn't have to enter the store! Above and beyond customer service, you've made a chatters customer out of me!

Due to COVID 19 I hadn’t had a haircut in months. I was the stylists first client back. I was treated very well, provided with a mask and sanitizer- with access to gloves if I wanted. My wife keeps finding me the look and telling me what a great hair cut I have. You know the look.

I adore Jessica! She always listens to exactly what I want, shes honest about what's achievable with the state that my hair is in and she gives great recommendations on how to keep my hair healthy! I've been seeing Jessica on and off for a few years now (when finances allow me to get my hair done), but I wholeheartedly trust her with my locks! She's experienced, professional, efficient/quick and great to have a chat with!

Ive received the Best service from Stylist Casey. She fit me in last minute and understood I had to be out at a certain time to get my kids. She hustled her butt off, got my hair done on time even though my entire head was covered in foils it was very impressive. Would highly recommend going to Casey if you want a really good job.

When I booked my appointment at Chatters I was concerned I would walk away with a basic hair cut, but Geoff was excellent. He is definitely a hair stylist. He styled my hair in a way that I never dreamed would suit me. But it does. Very happy.

The staff was friendly but my hair cut resembles nothing that I wanted even with bringing in a picture. Very disappointed and hate my hair.

I have been a client of Chatters Westshore since 2001 – it’s an excellent salon. I’ve experienced many stylists from Chatters and almost always like them - Kaetlynn is exceptional. No review could do justice to her skill and wonderful qualities. She excels at everything - colour, cuts, braiding, and updos. Kaetlynn has an artistic eye and puts her heart and soul into making sure you feel and look your best. I always walk out with a smile on my face and a spring in my step. She truly cares about every aspect of my experience at the salon.
Just over a year ago, I had neck and lower back surgery - I had difficulty washing my hair at home because of the incisions. The surgery was invasive, so I was worried about resting my head back on the sink, but Kaetlynn was so clever and gentle – I had no need to worry. Several years back, when I needed to have my hair done for some yoga and Pilates videos, I was also impressed by her unbelievable updos. They looked great and stayed in place all day. Kaetlynn has been there for me through all the best and worse times in my life over the past ten years - I recommend her in every possible way!

Amazing hair dresser all staff were extremely friendly. I was 100% happy with my hair cut this day. Highly recommend asking for a hair dresser that has been then a long time:)

I am so overly impressed with my hair service by Casey. She was insanely quick getting my head fully foiled with fine highlights and toned my hair to a perfect icy blonde. I started seeing her with brown hair and she gradually transitioned me to my dream hair and recommended at home treatments! My hair has never felt so healthy and I am thankful she is even able to do extensions as well! Thank you Casey, I’ll be back and I’ll bring all my friends!
