Wish I would have read alot of these negative experiences before I had my hair butchard by Shelly, don't show her a picture of what you want, she'll do the complete opposite! I immediately left with wet hair without paying and went to another hairdresser who could not believe the mess on my head!

My daughter had an appt appointment for a trim and blow dry at Chatters in Penticton. We were astounded when the bill came to $96. The stylist wasn’t even going to wash her hair until my daughter asked for it to be washed. WE WILL NEVER RETURN! Not to mention she is a high school student and it was just a trim and blow dry for prom (no special style) and no discount for grads like so many other places do. They said it was so costly because it was with one of their Elite stylist… the service was not elite! DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Worst experience ever had with a haircut or buissness in general, my partner got a haircut here and they cut the side of his head and now there is an open wound, they did not listen to what was discussed they messed up his hairline and when we called they did not offer any help what so ever and basically told us to kick rocks because nothing could be done not even a refund or free product, they did not feel any remorse. This is not somewhere you should go to buy product or get a haircut.

So unhappy! Was a rushed 25 min wash and cut. Jennifer argued with what I wanted then proceeded to chop at my hair. She butchered it then charged me $65. Will never go back there.

I bought a shampoo + conditioner yesterday at 13: 00. The customer service was horrible, at least pretend you welcome clients, kind of smile, be nice. My impression: your employee is a little racist. I won't be back EVER.

I told my hairstylist to keep the length but he cut my hair too short. I did not satisfied with my haircut.

Awful experience, stylist said "oops I cut it too short" while working on my hair. Walked out with way less hair than the Inspo photo had. Was offered a free cut and conditioning treatment to fix it and paid full price for my cut. Did not return for the second appointment as I heard awful things from people about not only a terrible FIRST cut, but the MAKE UP cut was botched as well.

Rudy was amazing. Treated me like I was a queen. My daughter was also happy with the advice about hair care and haircut from Zohan. My other daughter stated Melanie was good and provided her with great advice on how to cut her bangs. All of us will visit again

While on vacation in Penticton, I went into Chatters to purchase some hair products. The girl at the till was very rude. When I asked a question about the Matrix products, she talked over top of me, and belittled me. I said “you don’t have to be so rude” but then she started arguing with me. I could not believe it.
I went to pay and she literally slammed the debit/credit machine down in front of me and then threw my receipt at me. I told her I don’t deserve to be treated like that and she was still arguing with me as I left the store.
My 11 year old daughter witnessed this and she was even confused as to why this lady was talking to me that way.
Maybe this employee was having a bad day but I sure didn’t deserve to be treated like this!

Rudy was the best hair stylist I’ve had in a while. He was extremely thorough and did an amazing job. He really listens to what you want and takes the time to ensure you like your cut and style. He is super easy to talk to and makes you really comfortable during your appointment. I would highly recommend anyone to see Rudy for a cut, style and colour. Thank you Rudy for the amazing haircut.

Pretty good service. Sometimes seems unfriendly at desk. Can always get a last minute appointment.

Worst experience ever, the appointment was rushed, and the colour was atrocious. The salon did nothing to rectify the situation and were even going to charge me full price for a service I did not like. I would not recommend this salon to anyone nor will I be returning.

Melanie R (my stylist) was on time, had a great sense of humour, kept the conversation going through the entire cut & style - and did an excellent, professional job! I even still liked it once I got home, LOL! I received a very bad $60 haircut a couple months ago from a competitor salon, and despite usually being very loyal, I opted out of that salon again - VERY pleased with Chatters and nice to be able to shop in the mall after my cut & style!

They charged me $44 for a basic men’s cut that took 10 minutes. My regular barber, Okanogon Barbers, was busy, I will never be using Chatters again.

I was extremely pleased to the Staff for fitting me in when they were so close to closing. The Ladies are professional and pleasant.
I had gone in to get my just above shoulder length hair thinned out, and when I went to pay I was extremely shocked the total was 45.00.if you got the funds to throw around for as simple thinning of your hair then I recommend this hair salon.

I like Chatters Salon for a men’s cut. Good quality and good value. Good selection of products and shampoos also.

Normally, I don't write reviews. I received a men's cut at the Chatters Salon at Cherry Lane Mall. The cut took approximately 15 minutes and to my shock at the till, I was charged ~$40. The cashier explained the company has moved towards gender-neutral cuts, which means regardless of gender, you are charged the same rate. I will not be back to this company when you can go to a barber and pay $25 for a cut with better quality.

Was able to book in at a time that worked well. Covid precautions were good. Price was right. Jennifer did a good and fast job on my hair

I was a new client driving to a consultation traffic was backed up. I called to explain I was going to be late. I was told not to other as hairdresser wouldn't have 5 minutes to look at my hair. I thought I had appt wed.zI asked if she could do it than. Nope. Every other hairstylist does this. There was no offer of help. I was offered a 2: 30 appt for consultation.zWith that attitude.lack of customer service.sarcasm. My daughter owns hair Salons out of province. She assured me this behaviour was rude and not the norm

This was my daughter's first hair cut in a salon and Jennifer was amazing. We love love love it and this was such a positive experience for my kiddo that she can't wait to go back and get her hair cut again. Very pleased mamma here

I was confused when I first walked into Chatters it's more of a store selling product for hair then it is a hair salon the hair salon part is hidden in the back. The attendant was very friendly that book my hair appointment I did have to wait additional time then I was told because the lady cutting hair ran over on an appointment that's kind of normal I guess. The lady that trim my hair was very very nice she introduced me to a product that I think I actually like for my hair and I don't use a lot of product my disillusion and disappointment with Chatters is where I went to pay for it and for trimming my hair and I'm a guy it was over $30 for a trim. Extremely expensive I don't know if you actually get your value for the money.

Chris gives an amazing cut. Doesn't just look great when you leave, it's actually a style you can manage. He's also hilarious. Highly recommended him.

I was in today for first time & saw Janice I had no idea what I even wanted, she was so friendly helpful and knew exactly what to do, I’m a retired hairdresser myself and she not only did a wonderful job foiling my hair, she gave me one of the best Haircuts I’ve ever had! ILL BE BACK!

Charge too much.cutting guys hair never been this expensive.normally 37 dollars is for women's hair cut. Will not go back here again.

Wonderful friendly staff. Had a experienced salon individual who did an excellent job of colouring my hair. Cost very reasonable. Will continue to use Chatters.

Having naturally CURLY HAIR can be a real nightmare when trying to get a haircut. Fear not - because Janice at Chatters Penticton is Devacut trained in Chicago and has transformed my previously butchered curly hair into the best it's ever been. I have been in the Okanagan for over a decade and after many terrible haircuts I have been seeing Janice exclusively for 2 years and without fail get a perfect haircut every time.

I travel from Kelowna to get my haircut here - need I say more? This Chatters location is always friendly, clean and accommodating.

I don't generally post bad reviews but I'm so disappointed in my haircut that I felt I had to this time. I had to find a new stylist when mine went on maternity leave and because Chatters is in the mall and open longer hours than most salons, I decided to change salons as well. I had the first appointment in the morning and there was still hair on the floor in the front of the store and around the sink in the salon from the previous day. The stylist was 10 minutes late and then washed, cut, dried and straightened my hair in 20 minutes. I thought she was working fast because she was running behind but was told when I asked that she always works that fast. I expressed my displeasure at paying almost $45 for a 20 minute appointment and was then told she is the top stylist and therefore the most expensive in the salon. That actually made me more dissatisfied as my hair doesn't really look any better than it did before it was cut so I am definitely reluctant to return.
