Chef Hung Taiwanese Beef Noodle

You are not getting the food you pay for. The noodle is extremely small. It's like a dessert size. Good for weight losing or somebody on diet.

Wow the worse Taiwanese noodles I ever had. Very disappointed and extremely expensive for the portion and quality you get. The soap isn't even beefy.

Better go to Wang's Noodle House on Granville. They are way worth it and close by.

Rich soup, delicious noodles, and meat with just the right amount of fat. Convenient ordering, unique menu items and drinks. I come here at least once a month, and I definitely recommend this place.

This chain is so awesome! I lived in Taiwan and this is the perfect beef noodle. Noodles are perfect and fresh, beef is perfectly cooked and I love how they have a choice of various broths.

If you haven’t had beef noodle, you need to go here!

Food and service as always good. I ordered the fried dumplings and special beef noodle. But i noticed the amount of meat lately is less.

Rich deep flavour good tasting broth for the tomato and beef shank noodle soup. I do agree at their price range is on the high side when compared to other similar establishments. The quantity of food is decent for the soup noodles. The chicken nuggets is on the smaller portion side and not much to complain with the taste. Maybe it can use a little more salt and pepper.

The beef wraps are very well priced and tasty. Beware that it can fall apart quite easily.

Came for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. Not very busy but the staff were on lunch break so the service was understandably a little slow. Also took a few attempts to get their attention for the bill even though it wasn't busy. The benches faux leather was cracked and a little uncomfortable to sit on.

Deep fried chicken nuggets: Crispy and well flavoured. If you've ever had Chinese chicken nuggets, you know these are so much better because they're salty and peppery.

Steamed pork soup dumplings: Only average as 2/5 came broken so the soup had spilled out.: (Flavour was good with a kick of ginger. The wrappers were the right thickness.

Both beef noodle soups were great! The broth was just the right amount of salt and had a good beefy flavour. The beef shank was okay but could be a little more tender. Fatty beef slices were basically beef bacon - so tender and delicious.

Quite good noodle soup place. Fried chicken pieces were very tasty but could have a larger portion size. Tasty beef brisket noodle soups, but again, portion size of beef brisket could be increased for the price.

Have to update my review after going back to Chef Hung’s recently. Got the clear broth noodle soup, which I think is my fault but it had absolutely no flavour. Tasted like noodles and water. The prices continue to be quite high for what you get.

They have some lunch combo deals, but they don’t include that menu sheet when you first sit down, it’s posted up by the cashier.

Overall, was quite disappointed with the noodle this time around.

Award winning beef noodle soup from Taiwan. I was very pleased with the flavour. I was hesitant before thinking it’ll just have a lot of MSG in it, but to my surprise the soup base was very flavourful and not salty or have a lot of MSG in it.

I would prefer to have more meat in the noodle, and I prefer the thinner noodle as well. Overall it’s a taste bowl of noodle soup, and not bad value either. Their snacks and specialty dishes on the other hand was on the pricey side.

The decor inside was nice, and consistent throughout their locations. Service was solid as well.

I’ll definitely go back and try their other soup noodles.
