Chemainus Theatre Festival

Great show. Not a bad seat in the house. Easy access for those who need it. Food was good. Not drop dead awesome for the price charged

Dinner at the theatre last night was not the greatest. The waitress did an excellent job. The food was lacking in taste and quality. This is our third time for dinner at the theatre. Not real happy with the food.

We have been wanting to attend the Theater in Chemainus for a long time. I highly recommend the dinner Theater and overnight stay package. Will do this again! Made it an interesting outing. Stopped at few Antique shops in Nanaimo, and Ladysmith on route. Great getaway

High quality theater right here on Vancouver Island. We buy seasons tickets each year and are never disappointed!

Ghost was just terrific! The singing, dancing, humour and special effects were outstanding. Rather than singling out any particular actor, just let me say the main characters and supporting performers were exceptional. For me, who loved the movie, it was a real treat. I would also commend the writers, lighting, set design and direction. We came for the brunch and the food and service was excellent.

Just saw Ghost the musical at the theatre. The music and the cast were fantastic. They were all very entertaining and the singing was amazing. Jacob Woike was great lead. 5

I'd give the Chemainus another star if I could.
Always quality entertainment; especially in a small town more than an hour away from Victoria. Food is fabulous. The staff are top notch.really.

The largest mural town in the world

#Canada Chemainus town (Chemainus) is a "mural city" that exists in this world. It is located between Victoria and Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada. It is the largest outdoor art corridor in the world. It is another famous cultural town on Vancouver Island besides Duncan's "Totem City".

The town was built in the mid-19th century and covers an area of ​​4.02 square kilometers. Residents develop their economy through forestry, logging and rail transportation.

When we came here, we happened to encounter aboriginal performances. This was the Cowichan Aboriginal gathering place in the early days.

The three aboriginal heads are important figures of the tribe, they are the ancestors of the town: the one on the left is the village chief of Lyackson village on the island of Valdes at that time, and he is also the chief constable of the Royal Navy of the aboriginal police.

What a wonderful day today at Chemainus live professional Theatre on Vancouver Island! The theatre is the central core feature in this amazing town with almost every building with so realistic, detailed murals
The theatre is amazing inside with historic character maintained, amazing gift shop and the best elegant dining room.
The buffet today was outstanding! The buffet was very organized with salads, main courses and desserts and each course was absolutely delicious!
The play Gaslight was outstanding and kept you on the edge of your seat - very suspenseful and excellent acting and special effects
Highly recommend Chemainus to visit, enjoy lunch or dinner and a play! Please enjoy walking around the town and enjoy all the local businesses! What a wonderful day!

Absolutely terrific community theatre. Friendly volunteers, great selection of plays, and well-kept venue. Thoroughly enjoyed Gaslight and will attend again.

Long time no see! Come to the same place again, arrive at a different time, have a different touch!

Gaslight was intriguing, suspenseful and artfully directed. Good to great performances by the cast of 4 actors.

Thoroughly enjoyed the new table service. The play was awesome. Seating was a bit cramped for bad knees.

Last play we saw there was hysterical. Naked Radio was the play. We have seasons tickets there.

Wonderful facility, productions are always top notch. Regularly bring in top actors from the coast.

My friends couldn't make the show, so rebooked for another date, always more fun with friends

The production was very lively and light hearted. The actors/ actress were skilled and gave an excellent performance. If there was a criticism, it would be that there wasn't much choice for a light snack during intermission.
