Cherries Breakfast Bistro

I would say their best items are the tea/coffee lattes, or a sweet breakfast such as pancakes. The eggs benedict for me is just okay, the potatoes were soft (despite asking for them crispy) and the meal was not brought out hot unfortunately. But otherwise it is a cute place to eat, would highly recommend their sweet items!

Absolutely amazing breakfast and lunch spot, I love they version of all the classics. I love there breakfast poutine so much. Your choice of pulled beef or pork and believe me they don't let you down. An absolute must visit.

Every item I have ordered, I have enjoyed. The hollandaise sauce is from scratch. Everything is well balanced and flavorful.

I want to like this place but time and again I feel like I'm inconveniencing everyone by just being in the joint. The self serve system is horrible in the cafe side. Front house staff is usually cold to anyone that's not dining in.

Wow, what a delicious meal! I was delighted with the wonderful meal Cherrie cooked up for me! I asked for some specifics and she was able to oblige and it as sooo good! Also, the veg saute with it was the best serving of veggies I have had at any restaurant! Hubbie enjoyed his, too. All worth coming again and again for! Highly recommend!

We stood at the "wait to be served" table for over 20 minutes and no one even said hi or acknowledged us. It doesn't seem busy, with empty tables, and 4 different employees walked by us, without even making eye contact. We're about to leave.
Update: without a greeting, we were ushered to a table for two but our party wasn't two people.no one even asked how many people were coming (nor did they say hello). We were brought to a different table and given water. When the server returned with our drink order, we told her we're ready to order food. She declined taking our order and said she'd return later. She proceeded to another table and took their order. Then she went to another table to remove their plates. When she returned, she brought them their bill with a machine and processed their payment. She went to 2 other tables. One of the other servers walked by so I asked if we could place our order and she outright said "No, but I'll tell your server". 15 minutes or so later, the server returned to take our order. In all honesty, we could have been eating already if she took it when we tried to give it to her. Not once did anyone come to our table to ask how the food was or refill our empty cups. Horrendous service. The food was pretty good (pulled pork eggs benedict).
When we were done our meals, the server returned with a debit/credit machine but we were never even presented a bill/invoice! I just blindly paid the number she input into the machine without even a chance or offer to review the charges.
All together, l'm not impressed. In fact, I'm very annoyed. There is a LOT left to be desired in terms of service. This is considered "the service industry"! Strongly recommend the owner addresses this with everyone on their staff, as it was not isolated to one person.

Solid three stars for a mediocre experience. I ordered a classic eggs benny, presentation was quite nice. I was looking forward to it.
Unfortunately the hollandaise sauce was less what I was hoping for and more of a flavour less sauce covering my eggs. Upon receiving my food I was asked if I'd like ketchup with my potatoes, expecting a bottle of ketchup like 90% of restaurants I was given a single packet of ketchup. Overall, quite disappointed with my food. Service wasn't bad, didn't take long to get my food.

Awesome Lunch! We often pop in, easy lication for lunch. We waited a OK length of time. We enjoyed the online ordering right at the till, no cashier. Friendly staff, great food.

Good selection of Benny's and many other Breakfast/Brunch foods. Food is good quality, service is a bit slow as is normal with most restaurants due to the current labour shortage.

I used to live in the neighborhood and this was my go to, now i live 25 minutes away and it is still my go to. The servers are always kind, friendly and efficient. The food is incredible, can’t go wrong with the menno sausage (benny, bowl, anything) as well as the duck hash. Phenomenal

Closed upon arrival, a post on their website would have been appreciated if you're doing kitchen repairs and staff training.

Ate here last week, just writing this review now because I was reminded of how abysmal the service was at this two-bit establishment and how frustrated it made me. We waited an eon for average food and likely will not return. Good riddance and best of luck (you’ll need it)!

Outstanding pulled pork Benny! One poor server by herself out front.with 8 tables. Other than that, fabulous food!

Great place. Splendid food. Service a little slow. Servers were great, so it seemed like an organizational problem.

The food is fabulous. The blintzes are our favorite. Cherrie, the owner, is such a lovely person, too.

I should have picked one of the breakfast items with german pancakes as it is a breakfast bistro. I didnt really like the Reuben very much.

We went there about two weeks ago for the first time to enjoy breakfast. What a cute cozy restaurant. Loved the decor. It took about 15-20 min just to get seated tho…. Didn’t seem that busy lots of empty tables. At any rate we were not in a hurry. It took another 15 to have someone attend our table just to get a coffee and water and we thought we better place our order then also. More than half hour passed before we got our food. My breakfast of German pancake and scrambled eggs (Rhoul?) was definitely delicious and I enjoyed it very much. My daughter had eggs and bacon and it was also good. I asked for a refill of coffee before we finished eating and the waitress said ok coming up and walked by our table several times and by the time I was done eating I just gave up on that. So all in all I am not sure if I will come back? It’s a shame that the wait times might out way the delicious food and trying something new. We weren’t in a hurry but that did take a bit too long.

The food is excellent BUT the servers don’t know how to run a table properly. There is no reason why a guest should sit for 10 minutes waiting for a cup of coffee or even a water - but that happens here with some frequency. Right now there are 4 tables other than me, 3 front of house staff, and I’ve been sitting for 8 minutes no liquids. I worked in restaurants as a server for years. Here are the rules on how to run a table. Water on table within a minute of guest sitting, drinks ordered within 3 minutes, take food orders when drinks are brought out. Not hard! And I worked for the Greeks and they are excellent restauranteurs and one other rule No empty hands! Meaning you bring plates back with you when going to get coffee etc. Anyway the front of house is a bit unusual and disordered but the food is great - if you have patience it’s worth the wait!

We came because we know the food is good however, instead of being seated at one of the many empty tables we were forced to wait standing inside the door with no explanation while the staff completely ignored us and the other couple that were also waiting ahead of us. After standing for 10min.we decided to leave.
Unacceptable service. May not be back.

Good food and attentive staff. We had the half pancake with chocolate chip, 3 stripped applewood smoked bacon benny shrimp and chorizo skillet.

Not suitable for celiacs. The server assured me but I got really sick

Service was fantastic and Cherry, the owner, was a pleasure to talk to.
Family run business, we met her grandson, Joe, at the coffee bar.

OMG the food is awesome, Cherry is so polite, she came and spoke to us because they were out of pierogies instead of sending the server, how nice!
