Chevron - Gas Station

The location is good that's for certain. However the DC Fast chargers they had weren't very reliable. I came in for a drive at about 10% SOC on my vehicle, I thought I'd pull in to see how good the charging network was. Maybe it was the time of day 9.45pm, but to my dismay, one charger was down (completely offline) and had a 'Temporarily Unavailable' notice, while the other charger to right was online. I was able to plug in (station id-OTR-0034) and immediately get a solid 102 Kw charge up to about 31%, and then the 'Current Power' rating drastically dropped to 17Kw (Level 2 charging speeds). I decided to then stop charging due to the slower speed. This has happened at other Chevron EV charging locations as well and it's disappointing that these brand new EV chargers are proving to be less reliable. I ended up driving to a Petro C location about 13 km away to get a full charge. I'm still thankful that I was able to at least top up to 31% at this Chevron otherwise it would have been a nightmare. It's a hit and miss and I'll be sticking to some other DC Fast charger providers for the time being.

Clean well maintained gas station. Seems better than the average Chevrons elsewhere. I will be gassing up here in the future.
And a very big thank you for keeping the gas cap I left there in the morning! Jolly good show.

Staff is amazing. Been coming here for 40 years. Greedy owners don’t have air for full serve anymore. Won’t be using full serve or this station anymore until they correct the greedy air removal. Actually may lobby to make it law that all gas stations would have to provide air free of charge because of this.
