Only wish is that the place is a weeee bit less echoey and if at all possible to put a plexi border, of some sort, around the very loud coffee etc machine. Love it's sounds, just not that loud!

Great place for desserts. I like the themed ones for special occasions. Chez is always in the kitchen, say hi to him. By far the best bakery in town. Paired with a coffee it's a treat. Never disappoints.

Flat white was served hot and the latte art was done with care. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed with the Individual Tiramisu. It looked elegant, chocolate décor was thin and had a nice snap to it. However, it was highly lacking in coffee taste. A more robust coffee flavour would greatly improve this product.

The poorest double baked croissant I eaten. It was dry and very flaky but not moist. Overpriced for what it is worth. The coffee was good.

This is as good as it gets for pastries and desserts. The saturday cubed croissants are always a crowd pleaser. Limited inside tables, but does have a nice outdoor patio. Service was nice and efficient and the coffee was on point!

You guys gotta let the customer pour their own creamo though! Way too many times they pour wayyyyy too much. Because you do sell the best expresso. So it’s a shame.

I reserved 2 large size cakes here and when I picked them up I bought another gluten-free one today, they are so tasty and look so good! The store is clean and bright, and the people are so nice! Ps the Macarons are also good

Friendly and helpful staff, and phenomenal croissants and danishes. All three of us that were dining were blown away by how wonderful the food was.

The pastries are very good the espresso drinks are just ok so thats why a 4. A 5 for the pastries and a 2 for the latte.

Went in to get "The sorting hat. " Prompt service but super disappointed in quality of the sorting chocolate. I can see that they are both blue from the outside without breaking it. Their cakes are the only things worth going for.but gonna pass on their hot chocolate next time.

Had 'The Sorting Hat' hot chocolate, part of the Hot Chocolate Festival. It was amazing.

Cakes and coffee are superb! Especially the matcha and mango chocolate! Would recommend to everyone who enjoys decent desserts! Only problem is they sold out pretty quick, if you go there late afternoon, the chances to get cakes are thin.

My favorite place to go treat myself. All their chocolates are so precious to me, but my favorites are lemon basil and mango. Their hot chocolate for HCF was by far my favorite out of the 5 I had all over Vancouver and their croissants are super decadent.

We heard this place from a friend who highly recommended their croissants. We tried the hazelnut pain au chocolate, rosemary and cheese pull apart, and cinnamon pull apart. We also ordered the matcha latte and caramel macchiato. Must say the croissants were goood! Super yummy and crunchy. The chocolate one had a good amount of chocolate in there. The cinnamon pull apart had just enough sweetness level and the cinnamon flavor. The rosemary and cheese was goood too. I could taste both in every part of the croissants we peeled.

I love their cakes! I’ve tried three different ones so far and loved them all. However, I can’t say the same about the viennoiseries. The butter croissants are not buttery enough and lack crunchiness. As for the almond croissant, the frangipane doesn’t taste like one. Overall, I would recommend the place for their cakes.

We have been visiting the Burnaby location for a few years now and I have been getting gift boxes from Chez Christophe for my work. We've always enjoyed yummy and beautiful treats. We had a minor issue with one of the boxes we got this year, and sent an email to the business about the issue. To my surprise, the owner Christophe personally followed up with me to address the issue and explain the process on their business. It was a very kind gesture that shows how much care goes into their product.

Taste is 4-5 but the service and friendliness bumped it up to 5.
Update: taste is closer to 5 this time and the service remains 5:) the guy who served at the front was really nice and he gave me good recommendations when I asked.

Had a London fog (more milk than tea flavour), a gingerbread dessert cake (Gingy) and a cherry dessert cake that I couldn’t pronounce the name of lol.

Loved the punch of ginger and molasses flavours in the Gingy enrobed in a gingerbread white choco shell! There were multiple layers, one of which consisted of a ginger gelee, and it was lovely!

The cherry cake had 8 thin layers, all of them beautifully constructed; I could taste strong cherry and hazelnut flavours in the cake!

Overall I’d come back to try more desserts!

The dessert at the place was superb. I can tell that they put a lot of time and effort into each piece and it shows in the presentation and the flavour.

We got the earl grey cream puff and another piece that I’m forgetting the name of but it’s one of my favourite desserts. I’m not the biggest fan of sweets but this had me wanting more. I also enjoyed their pastry and coffee as well. I will definitely come back to try other dessert options and also to try out their chocolate. I highly recommend this place to anyone who likes high quality dessert!

Cake thing on counter is very sad. Chocolate Croissant is wickedly awesome. Due to Cake thing being extremely sad this will have to be a 2 star review. If possible just put a couple of chocolate Croissants on top of one another and use the filling on top and make a cake out of that. Nothing ventured nothing gained.

I ordered this wonderful Roasted Pumpkin Tart from Chez Christophe in North Burnaby when it was Thanksgiving weekend. The tart was light and airy; it had that familiar pumpkin spice flavour that I crave from pumpkin pie every year but with an added touch of sophistication to it. I love pumpkin pie so much but this was better than pumpkin pie. The texture was light and airy; it was not as dense as regular pumpkin pie tends to be. With every bite I took, I had to let out a happy sigh of contentment. Amongst many of the things I am thankful for in my life, I am thankful that I got to try Roasted Pumpkin Tart from Chez Christophe. It's the best Thanksgiving dessert I've ever had. I could eat it all year round. I wish they would make it a regular item on their menu!

I am also thankful that I got to try these croissant cubes from Chez Christophe. The croissant cubes caught my eye quite awhile ago and I'd been wanting to try them for ever so long. Finally got my chance! I ordered these croissant cubes from Chez Christophe and they did not disappoint. So crisp and flakey. One of the best croissants I've had anywhere. I just wish they would have written down somewhere, what the flavour of the filling was as there was no choice of flavour when I placed my order. Whatever it was, it was delicious!

Delicious goods here. Invidividual mousse cakes are decadent with layers of flavors. The travel cake is on the dry side but excellent accompanied with coffee or tea as its advertised it does not require refrigeration. Line ups form on weekends but worth the wait. Lemon tart is pricey but the best we have had in town. Cheers to Chez Christophe!

Customer service is very nice. You can order your cakes ahead of time online, or call in to order the day before if you need to pick up.
