When I was playing at Fisherman's Wharf, my mobile phone ran out of battery. The female staff at the front desk were very enthusiastic to charge me and solve the big problem. Next time I have the opportunity, I must take a boat to watch whales.

Chitchat is the waste of tome and money! I only did one shipment with them for my Etsy shop and they lost the package and leas to that my customer put a bad review because she didn’t received a package and I’m not getting sales after that! Also they were supposed to send my money back but I haven’t received anything! Don’t recommend this at all! Better to pay more for shipping but keeps your customers happy!

Horribly slow. Still waiting for a package on Dec 7 that had an ETA of Nov 30. Zero updates provided and no way to track. Your package disappears into a black hole without any updates until they pass it along to another carrier such as Canada Post etc. My package arrived at their sorting centre on Nov 28 according to Shop app, even though the seller (small business trying to save $ on shipping) sent me an automatic confirmation saying they gave it to Chit Chats on Nov 23 which means it took 5 whole days for Chit Chats to enter my pkg into their database? Then my package sat in their warehouse for a further 5 days before it went anywhere. 2 weeks from the day it shipped and still waiting…at least Canada Post now has it. That is the only reason I received an update.

This company refuses to listen to its customers and recipients whenever they ask to remove or to avoid putting the “Do Not Safe Drop” label on the packages being sent through them.

As someone whose nearest Canada Post Office is more than two kilometres away and has to go uphill and downhill to pick up the packages (because no one is at home most of the time when the delivery is attempted), I find it taxing to have to report this situation to them for almost every single month and for them to shrug this off as not a serious issue.

People should have the right to exercise their Right to Autonomy when it comes to these matters.

Horrible customer service. Customer support behaves you like they are your boss, not that you are their client.
They also don't support amazon anymore which causes incredible extra work. I recommend staying away from this company.

Chit Chats is great, without their cheaper shipping rates Canadian small business entrepreneurs would find it much more difficult to do business with the rates that Canada post charges. This Chit Chats has extended hours, making it one of the better drop off locations.

If there is the option of 0 star, I would put that. This company is a fraud! It has been a month since I placed an shipment and it’s been a month and the item has not been found. They refused to do any further investigation and insisted on me making a claim of $250 for something that is worth $1k+. They just give you vague reasons that doesn’t explain why the item has been lost and they refuse to do any follow up. They just keep pushing off their responsibility and lie to you!

The two staff at the CHIT CHATS Richmond location were helpful and very accommodative with my "last minute" drop off and on a rainy busy Saturday afternoon, it was very much appreciated!

I have visited Chitchats Richmond countless times in 2020 and 2021. Service was amazing and we had no issues coming here when the old employees were still here. Unfortunately, we ran into a bunch of problems as there were weight discrepancies with our packages, which yes, indeed was our problem as I did not weigh them correctly. I took the packages back and redid all of the scaling with a shipment scale and took them back. The manager told his staff to weigh it again and apparently it was incorrect again, so I had to take them all back. After taking them back home, the shipments were all correct. I then called the manager and explained to him that his employee read the scale wrong as there was no way all of them are wrong again. But he denied it and continued to say that he weighed the packages himself. He is rude through the phone and I was already super apologetic about the issues I have caused for not weighing the packages in the first place. The return process is also horrible as they NEVER process returns until I ask about them after 2 months. Even then, I am left waiting there for an hour for them to look for the package. I had then switched couriers to stallion express, a cheaper and better customer service alternative than chit chats.

A great business overall but their partnership with Canpar for pickups has caused me a lot of headaches. I’ve asked them multiple times to please find a better solution.

Ive had three pickups in the past 6mo quoted as “next day delivery” that disappear into Canpar’s system for a week or so.

Chit chats is amazing. I highly recommend them. Just beware of their shipping partner for pickups.

The place is nice, with a lot of parking spots. The entrance is pretty small and has someone working there always, so that you can ask questions. The warehouse is pretty big with people working inside. The dropping facility is pretty straightfoward with lots of boxes lying around. Given a chance, I would definitely go back there and work.

Their pick up service is horrible. No body showed up for the scheduled pickup and on the next day, I suddenly got an email inform me that the pickup has been canceled for no reason. I’ve tried pick up service 3-4 time during the last 4 months. No body has ever showed up. It was normal before, but don’t know what’s happen to this company since last December. I called their pickup partner Canpar, and that company provide the worst customer on the world. They just gave me a ridiculous reason and then rudely hang off my phone. I hope chitchat can change their pickup partner.

We have been using Chit Chats Richmond for more than five years now and since the time Norma retired we have constantly been telling ourselves how much we miss Norma and Vicky on the front end. We were surprised to see positive reviews written for Felipe. Every single time we have interacted with him, he has been nothing but mean and rude. He treats us, the clients as though we are some kind of Criminals. How can he let someone drop off the packages at 10 am when the branch opening time is 11 am? Whereas if we arrive at 6: 02 pm he refuses to accept packages. There can be many reasons a person MISSES THE DEADLINE - 6 pm! Felipe's rude attitude has been very disturbing. It is totally unacceptable. He should not be dealing with the customers on the front end. He should let other staff (Mark, Vicky) deal with the customers and he should do the work at the back end.

Things are very challenging for small businesses including shipping especially these days.
I don’t even know where to start on how amazing this chit chats location is!
Richmond (Phillip manager specifically) has gone above and beyond what I would ever expect from him. I have been processing orders,
All night at times to get out packages to our customers and unfortunately errors keep coming up.
The manager has been able to locate our packages, correct the errors and navigate me on how to get our parcel to it’s destination.
It’s so hard to get a hold of anyone right now (including chitchats CS), and I have been able to call him TWICE regarding 2 packages, when I was expecting to be told I was out of luck.
Go to Richmond! Best location, best service, best people and customer service is definitely top priority to this team!
Thank you so so much for your help.it’s already been such a tough year for all of us.

While I love ChitChats and have been a customer for many years, I fear the high volume of goods has affected the customer service generally and the Richmond location specifically. The phones go straight to voicemail and multiple messages over days do not get returned. I am a remote customer shipping into the branch so it's not like I can just go and talk to them.
Mistakes cannot be corrected in time, such as a package lost at the branch location (I guess, since it didn't scan after Loomis delivered to the branch) needed to come back to me since I had to ship another one Express courier directly to make the deadline. But no phone call back, the package was apparently found at the branch days later and just got sent too, so now the customer has two, and I'm out a bunch of money. And STILL no call back. OR answer from the Chat Bot they want us to use.

I don't know what my small business would do without Chitchats. We've shipped hundreds of packages through them. The service is reliable and the rates cannot be beat. The staff at this location have always gone out of their way to be helpful. Special mention to Philip, the manager, and Mark, who go above and beyond with a smile. Great place - wish it were more central but completely worth the drive.

Friendly staff, easy drop off with covid measures in place. I would say keep the drop off location to the back alley, makes dropping off packages much easier rather than trying to stumble and opening the door in the front. Chit Chats had made my business much more profitable shipping internationally and to the USA. Now with multiply locations open, its much more accessible too.

I've been going to this Richmond location, for my business, for a couple of years now. Every time I've gone, the service has been great and my questions answered in a patient and understanding way. Rates are great for small businesses! Couldn't have grown without them! Amazing service!

I much prefer this location to the one in East Van. Its everything that the other location lacks.

Its bright, clean new office space is very welcoming. The employee who was working was friendly and helpful. The whole vibe is way more professional, with a funky upscale vibe.

They had computers at a desk like setting with the scales, printer and pc complete with chairs to sit which is so much preferable.

This is an invaluable service and I am thrilled to have this alternative location available.

Service has steadily been going downhill, they don't answer emails regarding shipments, branches are closed when they are supposed to be open, taking multiple days to get things across the border. Either this company is growing too fast or they dont have the right people running it, or a combination of the both.

Still a cheap alternative service to ship international or to USA. However they offer less and less service, and they no longer take third party postage (you buy postage somewhere and pay the handling fee to have them bring across the border). I think it's either the business isn't doing as well or they want to make more money and care less about their customer. Their service selection is getting smaller too. They no longer have Asendia to Canada, only Canada post. Pricing generally getting higher year over year but still cheaper than shipping through traditional carriers from Canada.

I did a happy dance when I stumbled upon Chit Chats Express. Lauren, manager at 1282 Vernon Dr, Vancouver, BC V6A 4C9 is nothing short of AWESOME! She walked me through my first order, which helped take the fear out of using a new system. Canada Post is too expensive, slow and lacks tracking for a variety of sizes, which meant I couldn't sell certain items. Unfortunately, I still need Canada Post for letter sized deliveries within Canada. I truly hope this company grows to the point where I don't need Canada Post at all!

Excellent alternative solution to the overpriced Canada Post services. I'd give a five star if not for the lack of customer service at the Richmond location. Some of the employees are frankly rude and unfriendly to some of the customers. Quite a few times there is nobody at the front desk but you can hear them having a great time at the back of the office. They don't really know the systems and more likely you will get a wrong answer to your questions about the shipping processes. For sure more training is required, specially in the customer service area.

Great service and amazing alternative to Canada Post! I had few packages that were lost in the mail and got the insurance checks to cover for the loss. I love their staff, always helpful and kind, feels like home to me!

An amazing alternative to Canada Post. If you're a small business, give Chit Chats a try for shipping. Not only will it save you and customers money, the shipping is much faster, along with much cheaper options with tracking.

Be careful, especially Canadian bound parcels. There will be a delay in chitchats dropping off your canadian bound parcels at canada post. It took chitchats 3 business days to drop my parcel off at Canada Post.
There is a shady reason why we are not given the ACTUAL canada post tracking # until it is accepted by canada post.
Avoid chit chats if your canadian bound parcel has any sort of urgency.

Absolutely amazing company. I just started using Chit Chats and will be using them exclusively from now on. The staff is unbelievably helpful and friendly and their rates and service is just wonderful - I am an owner of a small Etsy shop and this has made a huge and positive influence on my business especially being able to offer tracking numbers for a very reasonable cost to my customers. I really can't recommend them enough - top notch!

Just a heads up…

If you sell on Amazon and use Chit Chats to ship your products to AMZ warehouses (via Fedex/UPS/etc), Chit Chats will not take responsibility if they lose your package on its way to the courier.

Chit Chats dropped off one of my packages at a Fedex facility but Fedex said they never received it. I learned that there is a gap of a few hours between the drop off by Chit Chats and when Fedex receives the packages. No one takes responsibility for your package if it is misplaced during this time.

Chit Chats tells me Fedex is responsible for the package once they drop it off at the facility. Fedex says that they are only responsible for the package after they scan it in to receive the package.

I complained to both Chit Chats and Fedex and no one was willing to take responsibility. After several phone calls and emails, Chit Chats offered me a $1 refund for the shipping fee I paid.

I continued to follow up and after six weeks, Chit Chats said they will pay for the cost of my products. However, no one has taken responsibility for losing my package.

Lesson learned.
