It used to be a nice store!

Two fails in two days. First a bag of peaches that were all moldy in 12 hours. Next a package of chicken than was going bad by dinner time, two days BEFORE it’s “sell by” date. The chicken had been refrigerated within 15 minutes of purchase. Generally I like this store, but when dinner is delayed to buy more chicken from a different store, it fails.

Nice clean store. Of course all food prices are going up doesn’t matter where you shop. One of the most interesting things about this choices is the way they have their registers set up I find you get through the registers a lot faster with this system. Thanks Choices

Choices engages in deceptive pricing practices.

I'll start off by saying that I want to support Choices. They are a BC-owned company whose approach of providing customers with 'choices' (be it organic or inorganic, healthy or junk food, etc.) is one I wholeheartedly appreciate. But something that I see over and over again with this store is their deceptive pricing practices, which I find abhorrent.

Case in point: Chobrani is an oat milk that Choices has carried for years and whose price point has hovered around $1.75 per carton. For years, sales of 2 cartons for $3 were common. Choices recently decided to increase the price of Chobrani by over 100% by having a 'sale' where it was offered at a price of 2 cartons for $8. This is considered a 'sale', as the new, supposed regular price is $4.50 per carton.

I understand that inflation is affecting food prices. I accept that inflation can be double digits high. What I don't accept is when 'inflation' runs in the triple digits, quite literally, from one day to the next. This is simply gouging, and when it's in the form of a 'sale', it is absolutely deceptive in its nature. Choices is not providing any sort of savings to the consumer, despite appearing to do so.

I shop at Choices less frequently for this reason. It is now merely a place to go for absolute necessities and true sale items. Do not fall for their fake sales items. Support Whole Foods or Fresh Market instead.

I love Choices. It's everything you could ever want in the perfect local community grocery store. It has really interesting products you can't find anywhere else. I recently read the ingredients on the banana bread and some bread buns and all of them have exactly the things we'd use if making at home and nothing more. I love seeing extra virgin olive oil on the label, it's the best!

Service, selection and stock. A great combination between organic and market quality. Fresh baked items. High end wedged cheeses. Health contious
meats and fresh sea foods
Old age hippy meets Millennial.

Convenient shopping for locals. The staff are always friendly, helpful, and the cashiers line usually moves fast. Personally, I find choices to be a little bit overpriced so I am removing one star.

A really great hot and cold deli, a great bakery with glutton free items. And the best selection of yogurt I've seen anywhere.

Spoiled meat
i purchased spoiled meat at Richards street location for a second time. First time i made request to the store manager but he couldnt do anything without receipt ($15 value). Yesterday, i purchased chicken, cooked them and they still smell so bad. They should do something about their meat quality in a store or inspection could visit them and take their meat to test to prevent food poisoning.

They have lots of high quality products that you can't find anywhere else, but for the items that you can find in other stores expect to pay 10% to 30% more.

Prices are a bit higher than conventional grocery stores. Decent selection of bison and venison. Friendly service. Roast chicken daily for 10.99 to 15.99$

An excellent supermarket with good products. The vegetables and fruits are fresh and beautiful. The place is clean and tidy. Feels nice to buy here. Relatively expensive prices.

Everything is marked up 30% the produce is horrible. Their rotisserie chickens are small and over priced. Their sandwhiches and wraps they make are skimped on and often frozen from the fridge they use. This place is a scam, if you have the "choice" go to farm to table instead.

Awesome place to shop, always fresh produce. A little pricy, but worth it. Quality products throughout the store. Staff always friendly and knowledgeable and easy to deal with.

Love this supermarket. They have so many interesting and healthy options. Clean and organised. The prices are fair - like everything in life you get what you pay for, and the quality and variety here are great. Staff are always friendly. Sign up for the points scheme, I often get $20 back on my weekly shop.

A trendy grocery store incorporated into a historic laundry building in a very expensive area of town. Need i say more. Lol

The place is really nice, but giving it a three star only because of the staff. Though some of the staff is really nice but some are rude and impolite.

Enjoyed the fact that they followed with the Covid-19 protocols but, were kinda more expensive than, most grocery stores that I usually shop at too

Choices is an amazing local business. They are extremely community-minded, and support many great causes throughout the year, including a holiday hamper program at Gordon Neighbourhood House for West End families.

Lots of nice vegan and gluten free options at this place. They always have interesting things to try. I heard people say this place is pricy, but it's not. Sure they have some more upscale options but it has healthy affordable options too.

A bit pricy, but I like their variety of organic produce. Some staff is rude, but most of them are friendly. Hope every staff wears masks.

One of my favourite markets in the whole city. Awesome variety of items and super friendly staff.

My favourite store. The staff is helpful it has pretty much what you need.the banana/chocolate chip muffins are so yummy.

Very expensive. I get it if the produce was better quality, but you can find the exact same stuff at any other supermarket for cheaper.

Great selection with lots of fresh produce. Large pre-prepared food section for ready to go meals as well.

Pretty decent grocery store. They do tend to focus a bit more on gluten free versions of items at the moment (ex/ they only seem to be stocking gluten-free burritos, they only carry fresh lasagna noodles that are gluten-free). Which is not great if you are not allergic to gluten and / or prefer the gluten-y versions of these products. However, this obsession with gluten-free is balanced by an excellent selection of organic and vegetarian / vegan foods.

Choices has a great selection of fresh, hot and ready to eat meals. Their mac&cheese is one of the best. I also love their bread selections, dried fruits and cakes. Their organic meat and fruit are good but a bit pricey.

Of all the food markets in Vancouver I've shopped at Choice's market outclasses them all. Superior in customer service, food quality, food selection, vegan desserts! And an overall pleasant experience. I've been to all the locations and there is this consistency of friendly service and great food selection that no other food market has provided and its worth noting that although its a tinier store it still competes successfully against bigger chains with it's vast food selection, absolutely wonderful. This is my favorite market! Great selection in pretty much every category of groceries. Lots of local and healthy options.

For organic food no better place than this but it comes at a cost people from yale town are hush hush about this store I guess for the right reasons

Good selection of natural foods at this small grocery store. There's an excellent salad bar to grab a healthy meal when you're on the go.

This is my favourite market in BC! I go here for all my specialty grocery needs!

I am Vegan, and this market has the best selection of plant based foods and cosmetics, better than the big US/Canadian chains. I get all my Vegan soaps, shampoo, and toothpaste here, I can't find them anywhere else, which is fine because I like supporting local grocers as opposed to mega chains!

I was just there a couple of weeks ago with a friend, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable when I was searching for specific items!

I always recommend others come here when they can.

Location is right in the heart of Vancouver, and has a wheelchair accessible entrance, which is good for those shoppers who needs good places to shop that we can access.

I highly recommend this place for locals and travellers alike!

Plenty of choices although not as many as I would have liked in the deli for fresh sliced meats. Still what was there had done decent choices

As choices claims to promote healthy choices and support for the local community, I am quite disappointed at the lack of compassion and empathy for its neighbors at the Yaletown location.

In the last 2 weeks, one of their machines in the rear near the exhaust has developed a fault and blares a loud wailing noise for at least 2 minutes straight every hour or so. This goes on throughout the day and night. I have personally been there twice to talk to someone and other residents of my building have left multiple messages, emails and phone calls, yet nothing has been done.

This is awful and very inconsiderate. It would be great if they would do something ASAP.

Small, but covers basics. Meat department is staffed with a very good quality and small portions fresh meat products.
