One of my "go-to" places, when I wish to see the beach at sunset.or at anytime really.

The stairs are an intense "little workout" too, since they are a pretty steep climb.when you have to go back up.

It's a beautiful, and open beach area - made up of mainly rocks, more than sand. The railroad tracks run right next to it.so on occasion, you will hear & see a train, as well.

Overall, it's one of my favorite places.

A great place to workout. Trees shelter me from the hot sun and ocean sometimes brings in a breeze of fresh air.

Quite the structure. Excellent access to the beach. Not for those with vertigo or fear of heights.

Nice, quaint and peaceful beach. Close to Crescent beach but a lot quiter. The beach is very rocky but the calm, shallow water make up for it.

Easy access. 190 steps top to bottom. Or rather, bottom to top. Didn't notice or count on way down LOL. I got a bit lightheaded the first time I went down. The railway crossing comes out to very steep, and surprisingly high, metal stairs. I had not anticipated the sheer drop beside the stairs after the steps that follow the contour of the cliff. But gorgeous place to work out! Three laps are 1.15km w total ascent of 500m.

Beautiful sunset. You can walk to the middle of the ocean when tide low. Lots of shellfish on the beach.

A nice set of wooded steps that's reasonably good to do cardio stair laps at as they descend to the beach. Decent parking too. The steps become this creepy metal eyesore half way through which kinda ruins the picturesque awesomeness of the park overall. 4 stars!

From the famous steps, you can see fabulous scenery in every direction. The sea and the sky are so beautiful that you can not help saying “Wow! ”. The wood trunks and stone blocks beside the seashore make a quite circumstance, while the greens along the foot of the hill appear vivid lives. The colorful train sometimes passes through under the bridge and recalls the historic memory of the eclipsed years.

We went down the Christopherson Steps, then walked on the rocky beach, and went up the 1001 Steps, it was a great work out! By the way, this beach is clothing optional too (we didn't know until we got there haha).

Nice little hidden access point to the rocky beach. Nice view. Be wary of the hours for gate closures! Spring/Summer hours are past 6pm.

Love this walk down to Crescent Beach.started here at the steps and continued the whole beach, Blackie Spit, past the gardens and then back up the hill a different route.about a two hour hike with variety and the morning view from the steps was fabulous!

Just a couple of minutes drive from our house, we are blessed to have access to this window to the Ocean. This is called 1001 steps, although the steps are not really 1001. The top of the steps are located on the Crescent buff from where the zigzag of steps take you down to the beach. You go over this caged bridge and it always gives me a sense of security from the flying dinosaurs in Jurassic park 2. It gives a beautiful (wish I had a better word.did try spectacular, amazing.) view of the ocean. Every once in a while you can sea harbor seals, eagles, herons, and other wild life. During the summers, this provides us a go to point when we swim from Blackie Spit in the deeper part.
