Chui Hong

I'm a Korean-American who moved here from the States, and I've checked out quite a few Korean-Chinese-style restaurants in California, other states, and even Canada. Chuihong is hands-down the best Korean-Chinese restaurant in BC. The staff is super polite and attentive. I've been there a bunch, even during happy hours. Their Sleeman tap beer beats any other taphouses I've been to in Surrey, probably because they keep it clean regularly. My only gripe is that sometimes the Tansooyuk meat has a bit of inconsistency in taste. Aside from that, most of the time, it's definitely worth dining out there.

Enjoyed the lunch with my spouse and my siblings and their spouses in celebrating my sister's birthday.

Went back today ever since they'd moved to the new location. The food is still great but the quality of service has gone somewhat downhill unfortunately. Had to call the staff at least twice to get served as they forgot me every single time. I understand it was one of the busiest hours but still.

Today I waited about 45 minutes to get in.

I heard great things about Chuihong. They serve Korean Chinese food. My family and I ordered jajang myun, jampong, kkhanpongi and kkanshou Saewoo. The kkhanpongi and kkanshou Saewoo were good but the jajang myun and jampong were tasteless. My 11 year old son said the jajangmyun did not have enough flavour. I was a bit disappointed.

I ordered on uber eats. Great servings, and great flavour, but the soup was supposed to come with pineapple and there was some other sliced fruit. I have had it before, but cant place it. Anyway, they gave me something as a substitute with no warning. I do not appreciate that.

One of the most authentic Korean Chinese restaurants I’ve ever been to in metro Vancouver. Strongly recommend the deep fried pork and Jjambong. Will definitely be back again though we need to drive a long way.

Beautiful restaurant and great, friendly service. We were seated and served food very quickly. They were able to accommodate my peanut allergy as well. The food is so delicious and they serve the tastiest jajangmyeon I've found in the area. Will definitely be back!

They moved to this location couple of months ago. The restaurant is clean and atmosphere is good. The food is one of the best Korean Style Chinese food. TangSooYook (sweet and sour but different than Chinese style) or GganPoongKi (slightly spicy but more like kick rather than spicy) are my favorite deep-fried go to dish. Or combo is good way to try a little bit of everything when you go with group of 2-3 people or more. All the combo set menu comes with JiaJiangMyun (sweet and savoury black bean sauce on noodle) and JjamBong (spicy seafood noodle in the soup). RyuSanSeul on the rice is not spicy and serves with sauce (seafood, mushroom, vegetable with gooey sauce) poured on the white rice.

They recently relocated themselves to more convenient location - good for them. The new location has plenty of parking and the interior is amazing. I would give 5-star but the quality of the food isn't quite there, despite the popularity. I understand though it's tough achieving amazing food quality when you are SO busy All The Time. Good luck!

Such a great Korean restaurant. They recently relocated and it’s so great to see them succeed. The price is great for the portions. They’re menu was simple and always delivered so well but it has gotten even better now. Definitely one of the best ones in the lower mainland. Good food, great quality, good service and price. Need more places like this

By far the best Korean/Chinese food place around. I live nearby several other places that serve the same food as here but I will always take the extra time to go the distance to eat from Chui Hong. They have by far the best black-bean noodle, which as a Korean I have eaten a LOT of. I also really like their fried rice and something about their deep fried chicken here just hits differently (in a good way). I highly urge anyone who hasn’t eaten here before to try it, you won’t regret it. Portions are great, pricing is fair, taste is beyond excellent, and the service and ambience is pleasant. Only downside is how busy it can get, which makes perfect sense why.

Great restaurant. Food was served quickly. The portions were very big. And, it tasted so good! The Fried Chicken here is really text book perfect. The service was really good. The servers were moving in every direction to get it done. And, the beauty was asking any server for help would work. They all managed the front of the house as a team.

I’m a long time customer here and overall I enjoy this restaurant a lot but since Covid, their food quality has been very inconsistent.

Some of the best K food I have had in Canada. Loved the Seafood Pancake and Black Bean Noodles. Staff was attentitive and efficient.

Amazing good, was better price but covid really jacked up the price. Ample parking lot, lots to items to choose from, friendly staff. About the only thing I don't like this place is if you order Jjam-bong, there isn't enough seafood in it and they put way too much cooked onion (and I love anything onion)

Price has gone up and the variety of seafood is lacking (they don't have clams or mussels, just various types of prawn/shrimp and squid, even if you get the Samsun Jjampong). When getting takeout there's always more soup than noodles. The chicken noodle soup and chicken fried udon are great but only available as a lunch special (11-4). Their cold noodle is great during summer months.

Great food but with very limited space for dining. Prepare ahead of schedule if you wish to dine in at the restaurant. Believe reservation only applies to parties of 6 or more.
