Church's Chicken

I have had to wait a few minutes for chicken but I'd rather take that any day than have chicken that tasted like it was 3 days old and still cold

The staff here are Champs. I really like their fried chicken, so no need to talk on that more.

I love Church's, but coming here at dinner time on New Year's Eve was insane!

I've never seen so many people in the store before, but the staff were calmly providing great service and letting people know expected wait times, all while smiling and being very polite.

I could tell that it was INSANELY busy, but they still kept going in a very organized, calm fashion where most people (including myself) or have been majorly panicking. By the time we left the store, there were probably 30-40 customers in the store either waiting to order or waiting to get their order, and not to mention the constant delivery orders that they had to fulfill too.

Greasy and gross. 4 pieces out of 12 in total were brown and cold, probably from yesterday. Fries were cold and wet, even the boxes were moisted and became runny.

Twice this week. Ordered chicken wings and chicken. Extremely salty. Both times. Not happy at all. This is horrible churches chicken was the only chicken place that I felt that left the quality to be the same. But now its like the same like others.

Service is consistent across the brand.
You almost always have to wait for fresh chicken, but who would object to that?
The apologies for the wait can get a bit annoying sometimes, but I understand the need.

The food tastes good but always leaves you feeling like trash and slightly sick the next day. The place itself is dirty.

After previously raising the issue of changes in the recipe, I decided to give this location another look.

Updated Review #2: Inconsistent Chicken

Ordered spicy chicken, did not get what I expected as spicy chicken

Either:

A) Recipe has changed again, returned to being severely under seasoned

Or

B) Failure of communication between the front and back staff resulting in the order being wrong.

Regardless, I don't trust the chicken or this location anymore. If I want church's Chicken, I'll go to another location or look at another chicken franchise.

Haven't been here in a few years, but the old management 5 years ago didn't have these issues.

The most unclean AND under-maintained church's chicken outlet ive been to.
Every single table was dirty, with crumbs and soda pop poured all over them.
The floor was sticky.
It was the worst dining experience i have ever had.
The food was mediocre.
Half the items from the Menu were unavailable.
Staff were quite nice and quick.

Unfortunately, you don't get the good chicken everytime. Sometimes chicken is fresh and hot but sometimes it taste like it's just out from fridge.

They usually taste good. Today’s take out is the worst experience ever! Chicken smells burning and taste burning too. Called them and they said they can give us new one. Went back and have to wait them to change oil. There was 2 other clients have same problem too. After 20mins wait, manager said have to wait 40mins longer. Cause they have to change all oil? We don’t want to wait that long. They refunded but that’s it! All the time and gas we spend for nothing but hungry! Never come back to this location again.

My Friday 1.00pm lunch fix. Love this place. Chicken & fries always very hot. Keep up the freshness.

Food didn't give me food poisoning. The Chicken was decent, I'm only giving 4 stars because there was a lack of hygiene products available when entering through the front door. I "LeGaLlY" can't sit down and eat here however I wouldn't want to there as there were more than one dirty tables; and the place looks very outdated.

Chinese girl working at night has attitude problems and they never have any chicken cooked you always have to wait 10 mins for them to fry some.

I rate this place good for its good so tasty especially the crinkly cut fries I love them, but the restaurant tables were not so clean not recommended for dining in, take away is fine

We just bought our Christmas dinner there and the food is horrible. The spicy chicken were actually burnt. The gravy was super salty. The fries and biscuits were okay. I don't like throwing food out but they were so bad I threw out 4 pieces of chicken and the gravy. I would never buy from this place again. The service is good but what's the point, the food is bad.

This is 24 hour open restaurant serving the hot crispy fried chicken. I would recommend there hot wings (the spicy ones) which are lip smacking. You can compare them to KFC but lot better. The prices are reasonable.

Fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, chicken was juicy and flavorful and not over battered, substituted my fountain drink for a gravy, excellent service, will come again.

I came here around 10pm and figured it would be quiet. There was a big line up, only one person was working doing everything. Another worker was puttering around in the back. I'm not blaming the employee, she was doing what she could, but almost 40 min later when are food was ready our fries and chicken were cold and she forgot are salads. The owner should consider hiring more staff. Will most likely not return to this location.

Always love Church's Chicken, but this location on Lougheed is dirty. Staff looks untidy, with greasy hair.floors is dirty, garbage everywhere.

Ordered 5 spicy tender and 5 non-spicy tender. This is what I got. Why the hell did you mix them together? Can you tell which ones are spicy? Come on, use your common sense!

I love churchs chicken and would always give the chicken 5 stars but this location is disorganized and the staff seem confused all the time.

Terrible staff here. No enthusiasm or effort. Forgot the biscuits for 2 meals. Chicken was cold and soggy because it's been sitting in the heating rack for who knows how long because no one comes here. Practically threw my food on the counter at me before just walking away. Shouldn't have come here

Just order my food like 10 minutes ago. I am their loyal customer since I also support thir location once every two weeks for years. I always order a combo of 2 pieces of chicken with a large drink instead of their honey biscuits.

Never run into a problem till today. Looks like many new staff with one young trainee at the reception desk. She refused my request, so I asked her why. She simply called her supervisor/ manager to confirm and the guy (Asian) show up without say hi or anything. "No" and walk away.

Good luck owner for hiring good new employee, I loved your own crew so much. Enjoy your "delicious" biscuits then.

Church's chicken is always good and served hot! Fries were hot too and the new little biscuit was delicious! Much better than KFC and less greasy.

I bought a chicken sandwich with some jalapeño poppers at around 3am couple days ago. Was surprised by how fresh everything tasted. Props to the manager and team that night for keeping products fresh even during the twilight hours for late night snackers such as myself.

If you're craving fried chicken be sure to stop by Church's. The chicken is juicy and flavourful. Far better than KFC in my opinion. I hope someone opens up a franchise here in Victoria.

This location is more spacious than some others. The staff was efficient last several times I visited. They kept my waiting time to a minimum.

Drinks taste like water here. I ordered a meal and they didn’t even pack fries. Theres literally 3 items; chicken, drink and fries. They can’t even do that right.

Decent service even when busy. Poor employees need AC 100%. But it was during a crazy heatwave, they were super good with tedious customers hot in line. Happy they were open late to help as we were staying in the hotel up the street who had no open food services.

Hard working people, same times nice custumer service. This is my second time here they are really nice also smart and expeeince workers. Good managment.

On 2 separate occasions, we arrived home with our take out. Only to find that our orders were wrong. Both times.

Not sure if they have alot of orders, the kitchen seems to be messy and unorganized. I ordered their special chicken wings ($1 EA), the wings are just barely warm.

It used to be a go to place for a quick meal
But unfortunately I saw.this last night and it killed my appetite and it's the last time I'm going to visit this place

They fry chicken just about right. The chicken piece is tender and juicy. Every time I am in the area, I just order the three-piece meal. Yummy!

Personally, I have eaten KFC in around 3 countries. Canada's is okay. I tried church's chicken one day. And wow. Mind blown. I think Church's is the actual fried chicken. The spicy chicken is even better wow. Amazing! Just amazing.

Great! 5 stars.chicken was fresh.hot and the poppers cooked well. Rice is always pretty decent there. Rhe manager and their team, was friendly and on point. Even though today was busy. I left a 2 litre at churches chicken one day. And the manager was more than happy to help me out even though I told him it's the past and not a big deal. It just sucked. Lol Great team and clean place!

I have been to so many church chicken, this is one of the best location! Chicken and fries are the best!

Always have a great experience coming here. Not all the churches outlets are the same and this is definitely the best one I've been to.

The chicken is good. The place could be cleaner but its gotten a lot cleaner since covid started

The employees there seem to not be happy, it is the third time I come to this place and their employees seem to hate each other or something.also, They don't have a button to open the door for a wheelchair.

Happy they're open 24 hours and only steps away from our hotel. The late night fried chicken really hits the spot. Service was decent.

Friendly staff however when we got home.the chicken portion of our meal was missing from the bag. We were not happy but too tired to go back and complain

I will never order from this store never again. No ketchup, table napkins and cutlery. Paid 3.25 for a 500ml pepsi. I complained but i was told to mention in the comments for ketchup etc

The workers dont know the system well enough and the owner is not nice at all. They did not notify us that a machine isnt working and told us after we had paid. Honestly do not recommend

Lady working here around the age of 35-45, with no name tag, no safety cap on head, so rude, zero professionalism, zero customer service and safety mask below the nose, All i asked was meyonese. And at the end didn't got any meyo disappointed, won't come here again, just because of the lady

Great location for late dinning, lots of their branches offer 24/7 drive thru service. Needless to say, their chicken is awsome

Inside the chicken pieces is oily in all the chruchs chicken branches. I don't know why its like sometimes felt bad while eating
