Amazing company to deal with. We loved the fact that Ciao Tours took the time to understand what WE wanted in our holiday. They customized our itinerary to include some unique and special events that we thoroughly enjoyed. Bravo Ciao Tours! Well Done!

Ciao Tours real knows how to do things right. The customer has everything on their phone before leaving on vacation. All tickets for travel regarding train, entrance to different venues and private guides and drivers. Service is certainly their forte. Calls every evening asking about our day and if we were satisfied. Reminding us of our private driver the following day and time of pick up. The hotels were excellent and got better with every city we visited. Breakfast was included in every hotel. We felt like they really cared about our well being. To Rachel and Laura thank you so much for your patience. You are both remarkable and should be commended for your professionalism. I certainly look forward to doing it all over again one day soon. We just had a wonderful, memorable vacation touring Italy (Sorrento, Amalfi coast, Capri, Florence, Siena, Tuscany, Cinque Terre, Pisa) with the guidance from Ciao Tours. We had fantastic weather and thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
What went well
• Ciao Tours flexibility to customize our itinerary to suit our preferences.
• Ciao team representatives in Calgary and Siena were very responsive.
• Initial FaceTime meetings with Calgary staff helped to communicate our preferences for destinations, accommodations and interests.
• Accommodations were all very nice and in convenient locations.
• Private tours (Capri, Florence, Siena)
• Private transfers by car (airport-train station, train station-hotel)
• Pre-purchasing of train tickets and tours
• Car rental in Tuscany
• Cooking class in Tuscany
• Daily check-ins with Ciao representative in Italy
What could have been better
• Having a better understanding of Ciao’s flexibility for services and their organization
• We should have scheduled a tour of Amalfi coast instead of using a driver who didn’t provide any information on towns
• Suggest that options for accommodations, tours, & transfers (location, average costs, details) be provided in initial meetings prior to requesting a down payment, stipulating that costs may vary depending on availability
• Having a breakdown of costs instead of only a total cost prior to down payment
• Having options for accommodations with estimates of rates, as only 1 hotel was offered at each location
• Having options for car rentals
• Include condensed general information on locations, activities, recommendations, etc.in day-by-day Itinerary for each location, as opposed to cut & paste volumes of generic data at the end of package which was very difficult to read through

Our daughter planned her wedding in Santorini in August 2022. We were referred to Ciao Tours by an associate and were immediately impressed at how invested they were in our trip. As we had not originally planned on going to Greece, Ciao Tours were incredibly helpful in planning our hotel, tours, and transfers. Yannis, our guide in Santorini, was knowledgeable, interesting, and charming, and Nikki, our guide in Athens, was such a delight, and again, extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Athens and Greece. The entire Ciao Tours team stayed in contact with us throughout our entire trip to ensure our comfort, including an issue with travel that they not arranged on our behalf. We are so grateful to the Ciao Tours team for making this unexpected trip so amazing! - Thank you from the Pipes!
