It's not my home branch but was in the areas so thought I would stop by to make a business deposit. They wouldn't accept the money! They "don't do that anymore" as they are tellerless! Told me to go elsewhere wasting time and money. So much for "Imperial Service"!

The manager seems like he knows nothing about what he is doing! My restaurant has been in this Bank over 12years, Last 2 months my Bank has been compromised so I have to close the old account and I open a new one. Before, every month the Bank statement with the check stub mail together in one envelope but now I have to come to the bank and beg for it. I want to move to another bank.

What a complete waste of my time. I made an appointment here and the advisor from the get go was looking for ways to get out of helping us do something so simple, I had to call the telephone banking agents myself and put them on speaker phone to tell him what to do and even then he refused to help us and refused to get his manager. Complete lack of customer service or maybe complete incompetence because of lack of training. Be warned.

Centrally located in Walnut Grove - however, the service available at this location is very limited. Sure, if you would like to make an appointment to see a financial advisor, you would not have a problem. But, they recently decided to get rid of all tellers - which in my opinion is NOT A GOOD IDEA. Despite the trend, many customers (virtually all baby-boomers and older) still require face-to-face service when it comes to banking. I have been banking with CIBC for 15+ years now, and I know when it comes to technology, CIBC leads amongst the BIG FIVE in Canada. I can see clearly WHY they would do this, though. I want to cut down labour cost of hiring/keeping tellers - whom they see as the least important workers in the sector. Tellers do NOT bring in any business to their company - simply put, but their financial advisors, and mortgage experts do.

Although, this switch over is inevitable at some point in the future, it is too early now - that's all I'm saying. When you see 2.5 ratings in a bank, you know you are not walking into a good customer experience business.

I went to order a bank draft on Saturday before Thanksgiving. The staff was chating on what's app on her computer and dealing her cell phone while doing my stuff. She ended up giving me a draft with wrong issue date - 3 days later.

I went back to the bank after reallizing the wrong date. Another staff who was at the front desk told me that it was their system which automatically generated future date when there was a long weekend. They could manually change it to today's date.

Later the staff who issued me the wrong bank draft came out to see me. She arrogantly claimed that the date was generated by their system and there was nothing she could do. Finally the front desk staff explained to her and helped her change to the correct date. It was the front desk staff who was running in and out and passed the correct draft to me. The wrong-doing staff didn't say a word to me for her mistake and ignored me when she passed by me to say hello to another guest.

July 2020- TD and Royal have been open during COVID. Your Walnut Grove branch is still closed. You could do better.

Horrible bank. It’s the closest branch to my work so it’s easy for me but always having a tough time getting help. People
Working here are not capable of helping with everything, you gotta book appt to get the proper help. Hate that they took all the tellers out. Now they just have random ppl standing in the front trying to step u through using the atm like you’re a child and never have used it before. Useless

This location needs more staff. The staff are kind and polite when you finally get to them after spending 20-30 minutes in line. CIBC please put more people on the counter. If I can use an ATM I will. There's a reason people are waiting in line, see to it you have the staff to accommodate that. I will re-edit this if I see a difference. Thank you

The worst bank service that I had ever. The staff there are so so slow. A normal thing that will generally cost 5 mins inither banks will have to be 15mins here. If I don’t have the house mortgage with CIBC, I will definitely close my account.

This branch doesn't even know how to answer simple questions about our CIBC mortgage. They have also made numerous errors with our various accounts since we started banking here. We pay for full service banking but what are we getting? I feel like switching all our accounts. What a pain.

I've attended different CIBC locations, and most of the time have come away flabbergasted at the poor level of customer service & response, but a week ago (on a Saturday), walked into the CIBC location in Walnut Grove, Langley and was astounded by the wonderful customer service greeting and quick response. CIBC usually holds a cheque (even a pay cheque) for 5 to 7 BUSINESS DAYS - which can negatively affect automatic withdrawals for bill payment, but when we asked the Teller if they would be willing to wave the hold, she did so immediately! The other branch locations said no, but the Walnut Grove Branch didn't have any issues with it and our bills came out on time without any interest charges! Thank you CIBC Walnut Grove! Outstanding Customer Service to a request!
