I booked an appointment there. When I went to the appointment, the person who I was supposed to meet with was on vacation! I waste my time!

I had a problem with Global tranfer. I made an inquiry by phone. But they solved the problem even though my home branch is toronto.

Please ask your advisors to answer the branch phone if they are standing around and doing nothing (or remind them that they are not working from home)! Called 7 times, received the answering machine only to walk into the branch and see 3 advisors chatting together and no customers at the branch

Worst experience ever. They trued to charge us $920 for a bank draft, that they "generously waived", and told us that we can't access our own money for a week because anyone who can move money to and from investment accounts are fully booked. Also, would advise anyone against CIBC in general, the longer you are with them, the higher your fees become, unlike any other bank

Everybody knows after a hard day how difficult is that to be nice with a customer. However, I had very pleasant experience at this branch. Although my appointment was at 6pm, my financial advisor, Adrian Hao, was very supportive. He listened patiently to all my question and inquiries and answered all of them in detail. He also gave me a bunch of insightful pieces of advice to strenghen my credit point.

Great bank to deal with online, just so long as I don't have to go in and deal with one of their inept tellers at the Coquitlam branch. No kidding. Young, untrained and stupid pretty much sums it up.

I got an appointment with Sharzad Fatehi. I called her three times even I sent her an email but I didn't get callback.it’s rude and unprofessional behavior to customer. I hope management thinks about it.

Went in to withdraw some American Funds. Provided my bank card, total request and specific increments. The teller explains that they could only provide 20s and 100s. I ask if any of the other tellers could provide assistance and her answer was no. I ask if I came back tomorrow would they have the funds. Essentially the answer came out as probably. After a bit of frustration, having her write down the denominations and my phone number to contact me the following day to ensure I don't waste a trip to pick up the money she finally ends up deciding to "check the back". She returns with the bills, counts them out. Envelopes them, I sign and off I go. What is concerning to me is that no questions were asked on my identity. No pin was provided. No id was checked.

I should not have had to press as hard as I did to have her "check the back"

If I lost my card and somebody went in who was not me would my accounts be safe?

Terrible Terrible service, I would never recommend this place, in fact I would never recommend you bank with CIBC. I first went to the Westwood location and wanted to open up a personal and a business account.opening the personal was no issue, but the business, they asked me to go to this branch.

I made an appointment to go the branch, I go there to open the account and the lady and her assistant asked me to send her all my documents.

I do and they tell me they can't help me and I booked the wrong appointment. How can this be, they only have one option on the site for Small Business banking and I booked it there.

But ok, no problem, I asked them to make me an appointment with the right person. They told me that person is on vacation and they would call me back in a week.

I wait 2 weeks no call back, I then call the branch and leave a message, no call back. I call one more time and STILL no call back.

So I make an appointment in another location Pitt Meadows. They created me an account no problem, but guess what? They charge you a fee for accepting E transfers! I've never heard of this, and after accepting 3 e transfer and being charged over $5 for 3 transactions, I realized this and cancelled my account.

On the personal side of things, I started an account and there was a $400 welcome promo. I took care of all the requirements, called my Relationship manager and the telephone banking to ensure I got all the requirements. Both assured I did, I didn't get the $400, so I called to complain, once again they said I would get a reply in 48 hours, I never got a call. So I canceled my personal account too. I would highly recommend you avoid CIBC and bank with one of the other banks!

Riya is really helpful and responsible and i had a good experience with her, at least she was the only one who took care of my credit card issue after calling so many times and going back and forth to this branch.

Horrible! Over six weeks they don’t return my calls even though I contact management and upper levels. They should be embarrassed, they just don’t care about customer service and I say that because I have a case file active and I have not received a call from this branch to rectify any issues. Philip, “financial advisor” obviously you don’t keep your word when it comes to callbacks or emails, not professional at all!

I never have great service at this specific branch, but I still use CIBC products. This review is only about the in-branch experience, not the company itself.

A long time ago I came to the bank to look for information about how to invest my money as I had a lot of disposable money at the time. I met with a representative for my scheduled appointment that I booked online. Their first question was "Is this for a highschool project? " Sure I might have what one may call a baby-face. But as a financial advisor they should treat everyone professionally and equally. Anyways, after a brief 5 minutes I walked out because I refuse to give my service to them and tripled my returns through self-investing during covid with individual US Equities.

My 2nd experience with them I simply was going to take a quick 3 day trip to USA, flight and cruise back. So I asked the teller to withdraw my US Account balance, but LEAVE 75c since there is a transaction fee for withdrawals. The teller told me there is no fee for withdrawals from the bank. I informed him even though this is my first withdrawal I know for sure there is a fee. He ignored my request and withdrew my whole account but didn't leave the 75c like I asked him too. I called CIBC customer service immediately afterwards to inform them of that transaction to leave a memo on my account so that I can call back to get the fee reimbursed. The customer service representatives over the phone are always the best as they swiftly reimbursed the next month after the statement came out. But now I'll have to call them a 2nd time next month for a overdraft fee. How many times do I need to speak with the ombudsman until this branch improves?
