Many thanks to Chase Xu who helped me open my debit card. Chase was so helpful and professional, unlike his questionable manager. I came in about 2 months ago to withdraw some cash and instead of doing the work, this man kept asking me to guess my original CIBC branch, which I had no idea of. He accused me of faking my own passport and wouldn't stop speaking nonsense. 0/10 customer service, trashy manager.

Yes, I think there is something wrong with the staff and the manager upstairs… really they should be reviewed by the CIBC headquarters internal investigation unit. I just went to the other branch near by and had a much friendly experience along with properly trained and professional staff. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Their ATM machines spits out money even if you cancel a transaction but if you ask them about it they’ll tell you it’s your problem. Wouldn’t recommend!

This branch profiles people, if you’re not a big time clientele, they’ll treat you poorly. Jason Huang, Client Advise Manager (but his email says Manger-poor English) advises me to close my account because it’s too small of an account and they want to charge me service fee but all I do with the account is deposit money to contribute to my TSFA, and pay a credit line. All money goes to CIBC, yet he can’t accommodate a small request? The manager of previous years were much friendlier and considerate.
With his advise, I’ll take away and close all account I have, Chequing, TFSA, a Joint chequing account, and not use their credit cards.
CIBC Executive members, please review your manager’s performance level, how they give advise to the community. I’ve been banking with this branch for over 10 years. Worst bank manager I’ve dealt with.

Went to grab rent on Dec 31st and there is a lineup about an hour long. I understand its during Covid, but a bank has to anticipate that if it's going to be closed for 4 days due to holiday, it's going to be busy and adjust accordingly. Line up is out the door so don't waste your time.

CIBC customer representative made an appointment for me over the phone - they sent me to this location and this branch never got back to me.they never even replied to my voicemail nothing. What a waste.email confirmation and a text message confirmation. BUT NO ONE called for that appointment nor sent any messages that they cannot make the appointment.

How is this business able to operate when they are not accountable with the commitment they make to their clients.

I used to respect the client services of CIBC but this branch shows how their services are degrading. Very disappointing! Avoid this branch. ALSO. The manager here took $100 dollars from me when I deposited 1k through the atm. He said he wouldn’t put a hold on funds in the system next thing you know it shows only Available balance was 900 on my statement. What a crook. The managers last name is Hayer

No joke everyone here is clueless.
The manager here is even clueless and has no knowledge.
(Couldnt figure something out for 20 mins) and i figured it at home in 2 minutes.pretty damn sad if you ask me. Theres people like him that have people losing thousands of dollars.

I tried booking an appointment at this place. Call them twice to book it. They didn't. Horrible banking service. International student avoid this place at all cost.
Someone named Eric was supposed to help me out and send an appointment confirmation but has failed to do so. This is disappointing. Please do your job.

I went for an appointment about investing $20000 in mutual funds and $20000 in GICs, but the person I was supposed to meet was not there. Someone called back and knew nothing about the long, detailed conversation I had with a representative last week. I was informed that I needed to see a specialist and when I arrived, nobody could help me or was available. I feel my money and accounts should go elsewhere. One person named Bushbinder could not figure out my name or find my accounts. This was very disappointing.

This place is so bad they flagged my account so they check my id every time and when I had to go inside for some forums the guy is msging his coworkers (I seen on the screen) and I’m standing here for 10 min during this time than decided that the printer needed to be refilled

This maybe the worst bank to go too these days. The line-ups are across the end of the street. There seems to be disorganization and chaos all around. And the hours of operation have been tightened? If people are trying to scramble to get their banking done, shouldn't the hours be increased?

Be aware! This location is the worst CIBC location in the history! I’m serious my matter is real and they don’t now how to treat their clients! Worst team! I have been dealing with CIBC since 2009, all my daily and monthly income is coming through CIBC for the pas ten years. Everything was perfect for around 7 years of great service from other CIBC brunch’s around Canada. This location is the worst I lost my saving and income. A lot of frauds activists happening and every one is standing and watching doing anything. I have been getting e-mails alerts for fraud activities and when I call the online cx line they tells me always to visit brunch to assist me. A soon as I visit this brunch i faced bunch of inexperienced people to deal with. CIBC you have to do re branding other banking providers they are way aheads of you. Crash the train before it's too late to do so. Shahad is not efficient nor professional. The Manager was very rude and unhelpful. Customer service is very bad at the Fraser street location, definitely they need re hair new capable employees.

Just called the bank regarding an issue and the person who answered the call didn't even listen to what my concern was, didn't even bother to ask my details either, just said that he doesn't know about it and asked me to come directly to the bank

Super MEAN EMPLOYEE. DOESNT SHOW ANY SYMPHATY TO YOUR CONCERN. IVE BEEN WITH THE BANK FOR 10 YEARS BUT FIRST TIME TO ENCOUNTER A VERY UNHELPFUL EMPLOYEE OF RESPECTED BANK.a nice way to answer a concern should be enough to offer if no solution can be made.

Been there awhile ago and had an unpleasant experience and decided to share.the tellers were nice and friendly.however, the manager there was very rude and unprofessional.i think her name was pratiba.wont go back to this branch.

Mr. Jack Hayre and Rajesh Prasad and team are great at the Fraser Street branch! I have always had luck at this branch with helpful mortgage specialists and also staff to help with some big and new to me US dollar transactions. Jack has got back to me by phone and email today on an important transaction - so appreciate it! A fellow in the back a few months ago helped when a CIBC branch in Ontario messed up and put a hold on my HELOC after a house close deposit. They sorted it out. Thanks to the Fraser Street branch!
