I gave this branch 1 star one month ago. My opinion has improved and I'm moving up to 3 star. They are one of busiest branches in all of BC. Telephone banking is actually the worst.for wait times.

Probably the worst CIBC branch to exist.

Went in to verify my identity per instructions from CIBC Visa, and was told by the tellers here that I needed to book an appointment to do this, and that their earliest availability is 1 week from now. Not understanding why this requires an appointment.

Tried my luck at another CIBC branch and they were able to do it, no questions asked!
Not sure why this location made it so complicated.

Worst branch ever. Took forever to get a helped. And then waited another 30 minutes for the manger to come. After 1 minute of talking the manager asked me to seat outside for another 30 minutes. Never come here again.

I want to give a shout out to Marco regarding our visit to CIBC today. Unfortunately, I do not know his last name. He is a teller there. He was both professional and personable. It was a fairly complex situation regarding a credit card bonus. We only had to tell him once what our situation was and he got it right away. It was something that could not be done quickly, so he moved us over to the side to help us. He made a call and explained accurately the situation to CIBC Visa. When Marco had to leave, he did not leave us hanging, but made sure we were able to have someone continue to take care of us.
Thank you Marco. You had our interest the whole time and made our time dealing with this much more palatable. Also want to thank the manager, Ahmad Sahak who was on stand by if needed.

Terrible customer service. Line up of 10 people and only 2 tellers. Management doesn’t seem to care at all…. Thinking of taking my business elsewhere…

Line up is always long and the front desk can’t answer my questions. Also, got the wrong info from the call centre that machines can take US dollars.

Although with new and diverse staff in this branch, the services have improved, the clients are welcomed well at the entrance and talked to in a friendly manner. This is unlike before when they were laughing at clients. However, the manager Ron remains arrogant and does not respect clients. He does not even come out and talk when the clients want to talk to him. He eats his food in his office. A good manager would like to keep clients happy. He thinks that he is very important, and clients are just nuisance. It is time for a new manager who is client friendly. The security officer hides behind the wall outside and smokes and he does not have client friendly aura.he is rude and does not seem to be a good security person in the bank.we do pay high service fees to be treated with disrespect.

I was here to open a bank account at 4: 40. Flora Sun at the front desk was very passive aggressive about the fact that i came “late” and did not leave enough time to open a new account.

I was suppose to have a phone meeting with Keenan Tandao on April 19,2022 between 12 pm to 1 pm. He showed up late and to make matter worse he double booked another appointment at 12: 30 pm. He then told me he can't help me because my banking was too complex and he would need to fill out 2 or 3 forms and the forms will take over 30 mins and could be hours. This is a lie because after I hung up with him, I got another CIBC person to help me and the issue was resolved in 5 mins. He wasted 15 mins of my time telling me that he couldn't help me.

Also a phone meeting is a meeting that doesn't require a person to show up. He insisted that I need to show up in person. Keenan doesn't sound very competent. Also he did mention that he needed to leave at 1 pm. I was basically upstairs from CIBC and could show up downstairs but he then was honest to let me know he actually had another appointment during my time.

Impossible to reach by phone as pressing 3 to book an appointment or 0 to speak with someone at the branch just drops the call after a few rings.

Was conducting a regular banking transaction here but Cohen spotted some irregularities with my activity and was able to flag my account for potential fraud. Kudos to this guy for saving me some serious headache further down the road. Give him a raise!

Considering metrotown is constantly a high traffic area, youd think that theyd have more than 2 tellers working at once — ive been with CIBC for over a decade and there has been absolutely no improvements in any aspect from what ive seen so far
i am genuinely considering taking my business elsewhere

Always a great service. Keenan T.is the best banker one could ask for. He is always so very helpful and patient with my questions and requests. Have been banking at this branch for 20+ years and never had an issue.

Service was very bad! Hired new teller without training to service customers, just process basic bill payment can make unsuccessful and called me three days later left message to me and ask me to go back bank to process again! Without apologizing for her mistake, and message not left her call back extension and I had spend an hour to their branch to staff and manager, still no one can help or solve with me! Why we paid high service fee for these unhelpful employees!

They should offer better training for their staffs. I received a few mixed information regarding bank account features from a senior rep vs a teller. Very disappointed.

Ignorant people and all the cashiers are slow and incompetent. Every time I been there it's at least a 40 minute wait and only 4 people in front of me.
CIBC is the worst bank I have ever dealt with.
There's always some kind of hassle just trying to update account information.

If I give could give 0 stars I would give 0 stars. Emailed a mortgage specialist (Lily) at this branch to compare mortgage rates and received snarky replies because she could not match lower rates from other banks. Lost my business forever.

Very bad experience. The lady at the front desk asked me to go to the other branch which is very rude and unprofessional. She was very impatient of my questions too. I felt like she was trying to push me out so she can go to the next customer. Didn't know this is how CIBC provides customer service. Try avoid to go to this branch if you can.

Louis, the advisor is rude. Needs to learn customer service. The lady and and Louis laughed at us after we left. I would never recommend to come at this branch. Louis is the person I encountered in the Branch. I am not from their ethnicity doesn't mean they can rude with me. They were giving me few extra cents as if I am homeless asking for money. I am very offended by those two people in the Branch. I want Branch manager to look into this issue closely

After a string of bad experiences with CIBC and my experience today with this branch I’m gonna be switching to RBC. Unhelpful, rude and seems to mostly want to push people out the door. The teller actually suggested I was trying to take money illegally from the estate of my own father. Class act.

Today is a very bad experience that they closed at least more than 1 hour earlier than their web posted time without any website update and their branch phone voice message update. I take Skytrain to go to this branch and wasted lots of time. And the worker inside even tell me it maybe happen in the future and hard to find accurate information too. So poor service and so irresponsible to customers

I normally never write reviews, but I highly do not recommend this CIBC Branch. Their customer service is definitely a heavy weakness and is made worse with their long busy lines. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment because I do not like wasting people's time. I was asked to be seated since I was "too early, " which is completely fine. When it was time for my appointment, I went up to inquire about it and waited in a line until to be asked to be seated again. It turns out when I went up to ask for my appointment again, my representative took in another client because they had the same first name as me. Thus, I had to wait another thirty minutes. It's honestly disrespectful to waste someone's time because that's life that they're never going to get back. I'm completely fine with waiting since I'm patient, but the problem is that they didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. I work in customer service too and honestly, their customer service is close to non-existent. CIBC has definitely lost a consumer to profit off their finances.

Literally the WORST customer experience I have EVER received from a bank. Teller operators talking about their personal lives and showing each other their lunch in front of customers.
This has put me off banking with CIBC FOREVER.

July 10th, 2019 - I had my partner deposit a cheque for me as I'm no longer in the country. It was about 10-15 mins from close of business day, she was told an outright "no" from the teller and that I needed to deposit the cheque in person. I still have an active bank account as well as a credit card with CIBC. My partner goes back into the branch within 5 mins, goes to a different teller (next to the previous teller who refused to help) and gave them my account details. Deposit was done, but it was done so with complete attitude. My partner said the lady teller THREW the piece of paper the cheque came with at her. Wow. Absolutely disgusting. These "customer service" workers really need to get their act together!

To my non-chinese folks, don't bother going to this branch, the staff is racist, incompetent and rude. The manager (Neal Baldoz) is such a rude person, he did not even bother listening to my issue and walked off when asked to respond properly. Very bad CIBC! Pathetic customer service.

Longest lines ever. ALL the time.only ever 2 tellers.usually new (not their fault). Lock doors hour early BECAUSE of slowness.insane.oakridge and other branches hardly EVER like this. 20 mins and STILL WAITING!

A lot of the reviews on here are probably accurate for this branch, but I just want to say thanks to Lu Lu for being one of the staff who, from my experiences so far, has shown competence, responsibility, politeness, patience and some understanding of good customer service. So I appreciate Lu Lu for that.
