Cilantro and Jalapeno

I ordered a $18 fish taco, presentation looked like they just slapped everything in the to go container and ONLY GOT 1 tortilla chip inside. Along with another 2 trays the rest got only 3 tortilla chips inside and rice was barley there. Most likey not going there again to spend $50 when there barley anything inside including veggies.

The food is always very fresh and tasty, the guac especially is delicious and they have a great variety of imported snacks and drinks if you feel like trying something new!

I've now wasted my time coming here twice during there listed open hours and they were closed both times.

Stop wasting people's time.

It was underrated mexican food. They serve good food we ordered tacos pepito and quesadilla. The portion for regular tacos is quite small but it was delivious and the quesadillas my daughter loves it?

Portion size was hugeee. I almost couldn’t finish it, coming from someone that can eat a lot lol! The taste was good but no wow factor.

I asked for a little bit of cream for a charge of course,
And Linda added some veggies, green sauce, cream and feta! Which is so awesome, that too free of charge!
Probably cause I raved about how delicious it is:)

Totally felt hospitality and reminded me of when I was in Mexico with the smiles and delicious food:)
Totally recommend anyone if they want a filling meal! And a side of happiness in the rainy Vancouver weather
P.s, I got the Potato Taquito meal, and added some Valentino sauce (cause I like it hot)

Ordered a carnita chimichanga

Delicious, filling meal with tons of flavours for under $15. I love that you can choose your own hot sauces. Lots of protein options for almost every dish

The staff seemed to be having a good time while playing fun music and still had fast service.

Monster Burrito was really good! Friendly staff and great tasting fresh food made my visit enjoyable!

Always gets the dishes wrong, one way or another, honestly really disappointed cuz the food is real good but they always mess up the orders, everytime

Authentic taqueria with delicious tacos.

I've been here twice and left satisfied both times. The prices are just about right, portion sizes, good, $10 -$15.
Had fish tacos and chorizo tacos.
Their guacamole was great, and the black bean sauce was nice and loose. Everything was fresh and delicious.

Their chimichangas are my go to. Everything I've eaten has been delicious.

They also have a nice little store where you can buy fresh salsa, guac, etc.

2 days ago i went to cilantro and jalapeno to eat some mexican food (i ate the salad). The food was not to my liking and tasted very sour and bitter. The next morning I woke up extremely nauseous and threw up for the next couple hours and had to stay in bed all day. The food isnt fresh at all and I am never coming to eat here again.

I order a monster burrito to take over to Stanley park for a picnic. I figured a burrito would be a safe one to have travel far but did not realize that the burrito came in a clam shell and was dosed in sauce. When ordering the food there was also an issue with the card payment where the person working the register could not produce an approved or cancelled receipt for my payment. I was not double charged but overall felt like the person working the till should be proficient with the interac machine.

My fiancé is latino and he said this place is authentic and latino approved. The prices might be a little too high but it's expected as it's in a tourist area. This is our second time coming here and it was worth the hour trip. We don't come to North Van often but when we do, we like coming to this spot.

Awful! Ordered the fish tacos for takeout lunch on Tuesday - sadly the absolute worst fish I’ve ever eaten. It was completely dried up and so hard from being cooked in oil far too long. So hard I may have broken a tooth if I tried to eat it. Seemed like it had been deep fried twice as it was almost in a petrified state.

Called the restaurant from home and though sympathetic the fellow who answered said he couldn’t do anything and that I had to email the owner (Linda?). Three days later and I still haven’t heard anything back. Tried resending the email to another address listed on the website and it was undeliverable.

That’s the last time I eat there! I spent over $80 on 3 lunches and some snacks. What a waste.

Ate here today food was amazing and great quality and quantity for a very reasonable price. Definitely coming back

Extremely disappointing. Ordered the taco salad, which came with a large lump of frozen guacamole dumped in the middle of it. Won't be ordering again from here.

Seriously, what a shame. Price was higher than somewhere like Chipotle for a disgusting plate of “food”. Watched my burrito get put into the microwave for 50 seconds (the middle was cold.), they drenched the top of the burrito in a god awful sweet sauce that was combined with a spicy one that left oil on your lips, not to mention the entire burrito was soggy from the sauce.
As another reviewer said, the burrito definitely lives up to its name, with its taste being a monster rather than its size.

So you would think after spending $30 on food and drinks and 3 separate meals they would at least give you the condiments to go with them without being charged $2 for a tiny cup of sour cream each wow. I guess the rent is that expensive

Staff were so helpful and the food is so tasty. Love it. Highly recommend trying their wonderful items

My family and I have enjoyed their salsa for over a decade. It is well worth the drive to come here if you do not live close by!

This place is amazing! The food is delicious and the portions are generous. The service is great and fast, especially considering some of the dishes. The staff are helpful and patient and lovely. They also have a ton of fresh, prepared foods (salsa, guacamole, etc) to take home.

Disappointing. The order wasn’t taken correctly and when the food arrived it was very blah, the chorizo was just pork with hot sauce, the quesadilla was just ok

This is a true gem on the north shore. Delicious food and takeaway, fresh salsas and so much more. Also a decent selection of imported food, best prices I have found on dried chilies, ones that can be hard to come by here in BC. Friendly service, try their salsa Fresca with some of their tortillas and I’m sure you’ll be back.

This place was not sanitary at all. The girl that made our food used her bare hands to handle it the whole time and not once washed it.

After making the last persons order she took our order and was using the cash register because we paid her in cash, I saw her putting coins in her tip jar and never washed her hands before making our food.

She then went ahead and prepared our food with no gloves and her bare hands, after she was done putting it together, she put our food in the toaster to bake, all a while picking up a broom to sweep the restaurant while she waited for it to be warmed up.

After our food was finished baking, she stopped sweeping and took our food out of the toaster with her bare hands that wasn't washed again. Not once to think to get some tongs or any utensils to remove our food.

Especially during this pandemic you would think restaurants would up there cleaning routine to make sure there weren't any cross contamination. But I guess for this restaurant, they didn't care.

Of course I refused to eat any of the food and my partner had finished majority of it, in which he ended up with an upset stomach a few hours later and had diarrhea that night.

Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone.

Best Mexican in North Vancouver! C&J (& Charlie's in Port Moody) have the best tasting, freshest contemporary Mexican to be had in the area! Always think I'd get something different from their options but I always end up getting the Chicken Chimichanga in the end. Authentic, family run, amd a staple to my visits at the Quay!

I ordered the monster burrito to go. I should have seen by the size of the wrap this was truly going to be a huge burrito. There was so much cheese inside it was actually a bit off putting. Since the sauces were added to the outside of the burrito in the container, everything got very messy quickly. I would be back as it tasted great but maybe order the regular size one

Very disappointed.service was poor, place was unsanitary and server wasn’t wearing gloves when making the food, won’t be eating here again.
