Cineplex Cinemas Langley

I have never been inside this theatre. My car group uses this as a central point for assembling together before we head off on drives. The parking lot is huge. The location is easily accessible from any direction.

Where are the desserts and food options? And just a gentle warning, people are already barely tolerable at a theatre, adding alcoholic beverages - really not a good idea. Better to stay home and have a movie night in relative peace, comfort, and and eat what you want.

The IMAX THEATER felt like a sweltering sauna due to the malfunctioning AC units, leaving me drenched in sweat throughout the entire 3-hour movie.

It's a good theater however I feel it could be a bit cleaner. The floor is like walking on a piece of fly paper.

Excellent cinema with lots of shows playing at once. There used to be a restaurant upstairs that overlooked the main lobby but it's long since been closed. One day hopefully it can be reimagined and used again as it was a unique and fun part of the theater.

We had to use the box office services for this trip. The staff member assisted is right away which was great.

The seating was great and the theatre was clean.

Overall a fine experience.

Came here for the first time for a matinee showtime to avoid the crowd during the pandemic. The experience is pretty much on par with other Cineplex that I've been to. Note that they are only opening the entrance on the south side so make sure you park accordingly too.

I mean.for an big theatre with an IMAX. You can tell the place needs some updating. Trying to get to the seats, to dark, stairs are to narrow and not lit enough. The seating felt close and well the chairs were also outdated. The movie was good and loud. And also prices are typically high, but have decent choices.

Their seats are so uncomfortable.
Wish they had better seating options like the other cinplexes

Place was filthy. Bathrooms reaked. Staff were all really friendly and outgoing, but the whole place was dirty.

Dec 23 6: 05 pm we brought our 2 grandson's 8yr and 4yrs (autistic) to see Sing 2. We were hesitant about going due to our autistic grandsons sensory issues but the ticket clerk told us if we had to leave we could get a refund but it had to be within 40 mins of the show time. Well we didn't make it to far into the movie and had to leave. I waited 5 mins or so in the line to get my refund and the manager (Evan) told me I was 10min to late to qualify for the refund. The movie didn't start right away there was at least 20 mins of commercials. I was so disappointed in his customer service he didn't care about the struggle and stress we were experiencing with our grandchild. He reached in a basket full of small pieces of paper with the customer service # and handed it to me and said maybe they can help you but it's Christmas and you probably won't hear from them for a while. What exactly do managers do at cineplex if they aren't empowered to give a refund or handle customer service issues?
Evan had absolutely no compassion for our situation what so ever.
Cineplex, I would like a refund or at least a credit. So we can attempt to see another movie with my grandsons in the near future. Merry Christmas

Covid protocols in place, about a quarter capacity at full, sold out show. Expensive popcorn, but everyone knows that anyways.

Your average multiplex with a spaceport theme. Lots of parking. I either take the freeway here or go along 88th for a quieter drive. Try asking for your butter layered.

I got COVID because you sold a ticket right beside my seat at Langley Cineplex and I was seating glued with a stranger. I demand an explanation why THERE WAS NO PROVINCIAL GUIDELINES FOLLOWED.

No seats left in seating people in theatres but outisde all the measures are followed, just be careful and book seats distancing yourself if you are cautious

Almost no COVID safety protocols in place aside from vaccination passport check at the door. When purchasing tickets online, the website states that the seats around you will be unavailable to others, which is not true. If you prefer to be safe, I recommend avoiding this place.

Amazing place if you want to feel like watching movies in the 90s with cramped up leg room and older seats.

IMAX screen is damaged. About midway up and slightly to the right. Holy crow that can be a distraction

A great plaace for watching a movie and the service is great the worker are fast and quick for helping out. But they need to fix the roof on the building and to make it a even better place for the future

Been here many times to watch movies, always a great time when the roof is a cool looking spaceship! Decent food and friendly staff!

IMAX viewers - AVOID! The screen has extremely distracting tear marks in the center-right which has been there for months, and if you look at other reviews, they are complaining about the exact same thing. Furthermore, the screen is blurry - either the projector is out of focus or their equipment is faulty. The audio was great. Will not be returning until they fix these display issues.

The IMAX theater has a big smudge on the right middle side which is annoying. But I love this theater and the service is great.

Its Wonderful to get back into a Movie Theatre and see a movie that is way better on the huge screen, (Dune) it wasn't packed so we felt pretty comfortable, Soon maybe we can get back to Normal before all The movie theaters go broke and have to shut down.

Never go there for a late movie show! No drinking water available and also no vending machine works (which doesn't require human assistance) for people visiting. The Cineplex website has incorrect seat map. Otherwise a great place to hangout with friends. Gaming arena can be improvised with more option in arena!

Would give a zero if possible…. For what you pay it’s time to upgrade the seating. Find another cinema for a comfortable experience

I thought it was just me, but as other reviews have said there's a stain on the IMAX screen that's visually distracting.

It also seems that the projector is slightly out of focus and the audio mix needed to be adjusted. I had no issues a few years ago watching Blade Runner 2049, but these issue were noticeable watching Dune on Oct. 31.

Went to see Eternals tonight but the theatre smelled like old hockey equipment. Not sure what was going on but it never used to smell like that.

Good theatre and good staff. However, there is a large mark or rip in the IMAX screen. It becomes noticeable occasionally and can be very distracting. It's been there for a long time too.

IMAX screen at the Langley location has a series of large and significantly distracting damage marks on the right third if the screen. Not what I want from a premium screening. I encourage all IMAX ticket holders to complain and ask for a refund until they are motivated to repair the screen. IMAX should be embarrassed to be showing on this screen.

The scuffs/marks across the IMAX screen are ridiculous, after paying premium price I would expect some semblance of upkeep. Had too many negative experiences here and not enough positives.

Unfortunately had a bad experience of a few people being in our chosen seats. When I went to look for help, the employees I did find didn't know what to do. Then when I waited in line to look for further help, a second lineup started near me and the only employee there helped the people at the beginning of that line. Ignoring me who was standing there for a long time and missing the movie due to people taking our seats.

We ended up taking someone else's seats and thankfully no one sat there.

Also, the most recent time we were there, we asked a ticket employer a question and he just looked at us. Then continued talking to his other coworker. We were just like "okay" and awkwardly walked away, confused as to why he looked like he didn't care.

Many times the staff don't seem to care and/or know anything about anything. Other than that, the theatre can also be pretty filthy. Bring a wipe to clean your seat down. A bunch of popcorn grease always comes off the chair yuck!

The food is good but obviously overpriced. I wish Cineplex would invest in healthier options though.

The Abbotsford Cineplex is much more cleaner and a little more friendlier there compared to Langley.

Okay theatre, definitely looking dated inside. No longer offering popcorn flavour packets as of October 8,2021, hopefully just temporarily but unlikely due to Covid as they are individual packets so no risk there and they have the self serve butter dispenser available as well as the arcade so supplying flavour packets shouldn't be an issue. No VIP section is a little disappointing and is probably related to this location being dated.

My daughter and me showed up to colossus and were greeted by the front staff. My license (B. C.card) was being renewed due to my birthday so I’m awaiting a new ID in the mail. The other ID I have is my status card “Indian of northern affairs Canada” with picture and hologram picture. Due to Covid we showed our vaccine cards along with this ID and was told it wasn’t an official Canadian ID and asked to leave a day after “truth and reconciliation” day. This was embarrassing and completely unacceptable. I’ve been going to colossus for years and all I have to say now is “Bad job colossus”

Eveything is on line now so update your website with the correct number to call to speak to a human an your hours are are not correct!

If you need to revise booked tickets/shows you have to go in person.

Went to the movies for the first time during covid. They are definitely following protocols and it's pretty empty so worth checking out some movies at this time.

I hate the chairs. I went to Guilford landmark and the chairs were amazing. So comfortable and big. Cineplex needs to change their chairs. My 4 year old was sitting so uncomfortable because the chair kept trying to close back up as he is so light. They gave me a hard plastic sit raiser but it was hard plastic and so uncomfortable. I'm not coming back here

The seats in dbox were very hard, sat in dbox seats before but never experienced this before, 3d sucks it's to dark with the glasses on forgot about this since it's been 18 months since last movie, no 3d or dbox seats in the future.

Movie great, trailers inappropriate!

Yesterday I went to see Jungle Cruise. Totally enjoyed the movie. The complex was clean and Covid protocols were followed. In general it was a good experience EXCEPT all the trailers except a Netflix ad for Paw Patrol were for horror films. At least one of these trailers is for an R rated movie (Malignant). This was a matinee of a PG movie. There were young kids in the audience that should not be subjected to such frightening images of the horror movies. It seems really bad marketing choices by whomever is in control of such decisions. How do horror movies go with Paw Patrol or a PG movie? Managers response was that they don’t make the decision but the film distribution companies do. Maybe or maybe he was throwing them under the bus. Whoever makes the decision needs to rethink them.

Nice to partake in a movie once again. Lots of spacing, theatre certainly doing their part in keeping it clean and safe. Bathroom smelt like very clean, not a bad oder but clean. Good to see (smell) that.

Lots of room for social distancing. We went to one of the later shows, so there wasn't a lot of staff on shift, but things went smoothly, and there wasn't any waits

It was amazing place so big and well staffed. We had a great time. I accidentally spilled some popcorn so when the movie was over I told the young man with the cleaning cart outside the theater. He thanked me I thought he might be a little upset but was thankful. Very nice young man.

Wonderful to be back at the movies.we don't have an Imax anywhere close to where we live so we took in an Imax movie. LOVED IT and the theater had great seats and was clean!

Super image, super sound, clean and super empty. 4 people in a big cinema. Home theatre big style. And friendly staff. Have to leave name and phone for contact tracing. Good job.

The fella at the concession seemed very unsure of what was available or not and almost overcharged us by around $8. Thankfully we took notice and the error was fixed and we appreciated his situation what with the covid-19 regulations and whatnot.

I'm always surprised to see that they don't have railings for staircase which is a huge inconvenience if you have any walking issues.

Great management was having trouble with the popcorn sale. Manager answer the complain and make it right.

I can’t believe even through covid and upon opening the washrooms still smell of URINE. They should of been washed down now and disinfected. Seriously so bad. Will be looking for alternative theatres. So disappointed!

It was so nice to get back in the theater again, all precautions were in place and the movie (In The Heights) was great

1st move post pendamic. Seating was as there was 6 m distance between 2 families. So if u want to go watch a movie then u should as there was cleaning crew cleaning highly touched surface.

Had a great time back in the theater again even with large bags of popcorn being unavailable in BC my son and I still enjoyed every minute at the Fast and the Furious 9 movie the other day, thank you and can't wait to be back

Great such a beautiful experience after covid. It was so refreshing to go back to the theatres and watching film on that big screen.

So glad to be back at the movies! Have missed going to this theatre and am grateful for the team for their hard work to reopen. Thanks Cineplex team!

Huge cinema, architecturally a monstrosity to the city and to the human race. Parking lot is a meeting place for young hooligans and their sports cars. They are constantly doing doughnuts and creating chaos for the community. The cinema is littered with popcorn. It is out of control. What a disaster.

Clean facility, comfortable seats, decent sound and picture. Tuesday cheap night movie tickets for two came to $18, which was great.

However, because it was cheap night we went to the concession, and this is where it loses points. $26 for a fountain pop, 1 bottle of water, and 2 medium popcorn.

As an added slap in the face, the topping was dripping out the bottom of the bag, down my pants, and into my shoe. I was able to soak my shoe in the tub, but whatever that topping is bonded with the material of my pants and none of my stain removers seem to convince it to let go.

The AVX, DBox and IMAX are amazing. Place is relatively clean. They really need to do something about the prices though, for 2 people going to the movies, NOT INCLUDING popcorn or drinks, it shouldn't cost $40+

I had a horrible encounter with one of the employees, but the manager dealt with the situation in a very professional manner. The theatres themselves are fairly typical of the massive multi screen complexes operated by Odeon.

Used to work here as an employee. It’s a fairly large theatre and it has IMAX and Ultra AVX facilities, and usually runs the typical movies most cineplex theatres around the area run. Since it’s so large, expect large wait times for both movie tickets and concession during peak releases so buy your tickets online; it saves you so much hassle. No VIP. Movie experience depends from person to person, but usually cineplex tries to stay fairly consistent with their policies on guest satisfaction. Not the cleanest theatre however. I usually prefer Riverport or any of the Vancouver cinemas the most. Probably just like the crowds there more too.

Good place for movies. Don't care for the 40 minutes of ads and other time wasters before the move, pop corn is too expensive but that's the case with all theatres.

Why does anybody still go here? Prices are Ludicrous, the seats are in desperate need of an upgrade, popcorn is too salty and $1 for a couple squirts of butter on the top of your popcorn is just silly. I am disappointed in Cineplex.for such a big name they better do something to keep up with the pace of smaller theaters. To pay $70+ for myself and 3 kids to go to a movie and share one popcorn and a drink when I have a free movie pass is just plain sad. Do yourself a favour and go to Landmark Cinemas in Surrey. I guarantee you will never go to this theater again.

Popcorn was too expensive for what I got.full of kernels, not pleasant. Also I thought for 13 bucks I got 3d movie, senior, nope just avx no 3d.over priced as well?

Great movie, however the cleanliness of the Langley theatre was the worst i have seen, the sticky floors and carpets to the bathrooms and paper towel dispenser barely hanging on the wall. I was very disappointed and realize this is not the norm however still not acceptable.

Okay, so they’ve managed to make waiting in line for tickets quicker but WHY does it have to take SO long to pick up popcorn? ! Those lines are always painfully slow. The theatre and seating is good and usually pretty clean and updated. Lots of parking at all times.

Very busy movie theather, make sure you reserve ahead of time. Popcorn was saltier then normal but got a new one when we told them. Overall good theater.

Line ups went super fast. We enjoyed the games while we waited. Better priced than we were expecting. (movie passes purchased at Costco ahead of time)
