Cineplex Cinemas Marine Gateway and VIP

Probably one of the few places in town where you can get away from people who spin their perception of you inside their imagination which albeit concerning though not much you can do about it even if it causes catastrophic problems later on. I still remember the bacon that didn't come with my poutine it will only make sense between me and you. Too much to think about and barely any time to enjoy life. Could be the other way around.

Cineplex cancelled our movie outing last night at the very last minute, when we had already come in to buy the tickets. Instead, they retroactively handed out refunds (I guess) rather than giving any respectable advance notice, so that cinephiles don't waste their time driving or transiting all the way to the theater for nothing. Get your sh*t together!

Really hope we can get back to watching movies normal. Not that I went here a lot, would be a shame to have this option gone. I did the VIP, get food and alcohol to your seat and that was great.

But, as with all movie theatres, prices are stupid still. Never will get 5 stars. I would wish the corporations would change this.

Super convenient location, right off the subway line, clean, doesnt smell like the theatre at commerical. Area is nice and full of life

This movie theater always has/had the best screens near northern Richmond. The deluxe movie theater is the best one as it has more delicious food and much bigger seats.

Awesome service! Lost my key on Saturday during a show, did respond right away and had follow up notes as well. Came on Monday before noon, Richard was there to assist me and personally took me to the section and reached in the seats where I lost my key. 12/10 customer service!

Such a positive experience for a first time back at the movies. VIP food and drink service was an excellent addition to my movie experience. COVID protocols were in place and my family felt very safe with more that expected social distancing available.

VIP is the way to see a movie. For a few dollars more you get to enjoy an adult crowd, to your seat service and a more luxury movie experience.

Everyone complains how expensive movies are. But when I see a VIP movie I feel like I am getting much better value.

Great theater size, only downside is that the vip screen has a more high def projector. More money though

Felt very safe in the theater. Seating was insanely far apart. Staff were all wearing masks and respectful of social distancing.

The tap function didn't work on the pay machine. Thats my only gripe.

Went to see tenet! Great movie and service in the VIP area was amazing. Seating was super spaced out so I felt super safe during this crazy covid time lol

Pretty sweet setup considering covid. Lots of social distancing cues and hand sanitizer readily available. Staff were trying hard, it was good to see considering they can barely be turning a profit like this

Theatre is overall pretty nice, the vip is nice but I think that it is a little overpriced considering that the screens are not as big as the regular ones.

Good cinema. Good VIP theatres. The food is on the more expensive side if you opt for VIP.

There's no fountain machine for drinks so you won't get custom drinks. There's a good set of arcade machines that you can use while waiting for your movie.

Overall it's not a bad experience but it's not the best either.

Staff in the VIP where real and down to earth. Staff on the main level where fun and took time to listen and also refill drinks that spilled without any sort of quam or difficulty.

Saw Aladdin in a theater with seats that moved along with the movie. Thought it was a stupid upgrade but I really actually enjoyed it. Saw it in 3D with the moving seats - it was quite a treat!

Not worth the money! I only had a 2 nights layover in vancouver and wasn't impressed with the VIP lounge that costs CAD 25. Looks like a regular one for me. Seats can recline but you can't put your feet up and can't relax your feet. Food are a bit expensive but staffs are nice. Also there's a parking fee. Unlike in Philippines, with just CAD15 you can have a La-Z-boy seats that can relax your legs and with unlimited popcorns and drinks.

The worse I think is the parking. Design is poor, management is poor, signs are confusing and ticketed me even few minutes late. I went there twice and both days gave me such a experience that ruin my whole days. It's a pay parking but not enough spots, some spots are designated to T&T, but what's the difference between normal customers and T&T customers? Cannot tell at all.

The VIP theatre is nice and often worth the added price for the comfier seats and service. It does get pricey though.

Loved the amazing VIP experience with spacious seats and side table to keep the food/drinks.
But, seats are not recliners.

Do you want alcohol with your movies? Then you better visit here, they have a VIP +19 section with a great bar and you can bring your drink inside. Also, the chairs are super comfy and you have enough space. You can lift the armchair (the seats are paired by two) and snuggle your significant other.

Went to vip lounge. Totally recommend it. Dinner and a movie and they have theatre service until movie starts. Nice staff.

Although the VIP bar is a cool addition. There isn’t a craft beer selection and the bar tending staff aren’t knowledgeable of alcohol selections. So don’t go expecting a lot. You can have a drink at the movies. Enough said.

VIP seats are amazing and the bar/restaurant is phenomenal! Definitely go early and watch a later show to enjoy the patio & atmosphere. You won't regret it!

Cinema is ok but the outtakes service crew made me upset for letting me wait for more than 10 mins for 2 meals. After all of the customers were gone except us waiting for a long time. We even saw the manager chuck my sweet potato fries that was obviously left forgotten in the fryer. The cheese in poutine was dead cold and not even melted by the gravy. I asked for my orders once from the counter and was ignored then again i asked for it again.no kind words of sorry from the crew and even they got irritated because i asked for my orders. For the people who are planning to buy a meal just don't, just buy a hotdog only so you will be prioritized. That what happened to us yesterday may 3rd 5: 45 to 6: 05pm. So many crews but doesn't know how to read numbers.what's the order number there for? Really disappointed with the service if there is 0 star i will choose that!

Please reconsider selling your front rows. My neck still hurts. It is inhuman to sell those seats to anyone. You could be looking at a lawsuit if it were someone else. I'd reconsider if you consider to remove those front seats. Maximum revenue potential should not be your priority, customers and their comfort should be. Nevertheless ruined Endgame for me as I could not see anything. So much for the years of wait

It was not bad at all. I enjoyed so many movies.
This Cineplex is my Go-To theatre as they are closest and nicest one.
Madison, the manager is really helpful. We had problem and then she helped us resolve it.
Awesome place.

Great quality in terms of screen picture, sound, seats and food. I prefer the screens (saw movies in regular and in 3D) here than the screens at Scotiabank and at silvercity riverport (haven't seen in IMAX there though). Easy to access via public transport. In a nice area with restaurants and shops nearby. There are few theaters and it is small and can get crowded very quickly.

I especially like VIP experience as they have very nice food which you can it while watching movie.
I will also suggest to come there on Wednesday as they have special deal, so you can have a dinner for two for a very good price.

This is another example of those wonderful places worth visiting. It is very well kempt, the staff are so very fun and friendly. The place is great to bring your family, kids and perhaps your friends too. Ofcourse, this is my tenth, maybe more, time going here since i moved here in Vancouver a year ago. Please come and enjoy this wonderful place, it is worth checking out.

I love the location but the movie selections suck! They only have the blockbuster movies. I still have to go downtown or to silvercity Richmond to see the movie I want to see. I'd like to see more intelligent VIP movie options, please!

Nice seating, good views from pretty much everywhere. A little disappointing that this theater doesn't refill large popcorn or drinks. Given what you're paying for it, and that a refill costs them a few cents, it's hard to fathom why they'd gamble losing viewers to another theater over something so trivial. Parking here is so-so. There is an underground lot, but the price doubles once you're over 2 hours (any movie) and then increases again by the same increment every 30 minutes. We would have stayed for a meal after our movie at one of the restaurants in the complex but we didn't feel like running down and paying for more parking so we left.
