Cineplex Cinemas Park Royal and VIP

Well, I must say watching a movie in this theater is not compatible with any theater you have visited. Excellent.

You have to register online to be able to see ticket 5 if you want to save them some work and book it online, they charge you extra fee for that

I love cineplex as a 14 year old I wanted to watch the new fnaf movie with my friends. When I went there bought tickets snacks and drinks. And once all that was paid for we went to scan the tickets and the person they said we need a student ID but since we got a private school we don’t have to ID and they’re not so we couldn’t go and we didn’t get a refund nor got to watch the movie a movie we paid for. We spent upwards of $70

A fun night out! Best deals are on Tuesdays for single people and great deals for couples on Wednesday for date nights!

Loving the VIP section. A newer theatre with comfy recliners and food and beverage to your chair. Prices are high for dine at your chair but a nice treat.

This is a very clean and nice theater, with great seats and clean bathrooms. They have a restaurant and bar area where you can have basic food and alcoholic drinks. My only gripe is the candy, food, snacks, popcorn and drinks are marked up 300% higher than other places. But they don't make enough money from movies so they have to earn money elsewhere. Drinks were well made and popcorn is excellent.

Today is 27 August 2020. The movie Tenet is in theater number four opened at 4: 30pm way too loud. The volume was setting way too high. I came out to complaint to the staff and they agreed that the volume seemed to be way too loud. My wife and kids and myself had to cover our ears even during some of the rather peaceful moment in the story. The background music was penetrating our ears. I regreted that I didn't drag my whole family out of the theater in the beginning. It ruined the whole movie experience!

Vip feature is game changing, however the food is a bit on the cost side.the movie experience itself was great

Nice VIP cinema. Pretty standard Cineplex VIP theatre with an nicer than usual dining area. Beer in a movie theatre, what more do you need to know? !

Service in the lounge is pretty good but drinks and food are pricey. The Tuesday special is $5 dollar tacos which are quite salty. The portions for the food are small for the price. Service inside the cinema is good as well.
The lounge has a pool table that is free to use, lots of tv's to watch sports etc.

The newest and best movie theater in the great VANCOUVER area so far. The seats are big and adjustment lying down.

The new full recliners in the VIP theatres are fantastic! I only knock 1 point off for my chicken strips that were kind of soggy. The fries were awesome though! I'll be back for sure.

We went to see the Secret Life of pets 2, and upon exiting the theatre we noticed what an exceptional job Vern was doing. He took the time to greet all the movie goers and went above and beyond his job. This man deserves credit and a pay increase!

YES THIS IS A MUST, BEST EVER, SEATING, SOUND PICTURE PURE MAGIC. WELL DONE GREAT PLACE, GO NOW. WE ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE AND THE MOVIE WAS GREAT AS WELL

This theatre is great, great service, great location with plenty of parking close depending on time. If at busy time still plenty of parking if you're willing to walk a little

My son and I went to see The Lion King and treated ourselves to DBOX seats. Our tickets read I3 and I4, and since there was no usher in the theatre, we made ourselves to the only row of DBOX seats and sat in seats 13 and 14. Just as the film was starting a woman approached me and claimed we were in her seats. This caused my son to feel very stressed as her manner was extremely unpleasant. I had to turn my phone on and check. When she brought an employee into the theatre about the confusion- she and he suggested I hadn't purchased DBOX tickets. I did not want to ruin the film for others so simply moved my son and I. After the film we realized our tickets were for DBOX I (the letter not number) 3 and 4. If there had been adequate trained ushers to deal with this confusion, our experience would have been much more pleasant. Shame on the woman for her rudeness.

My guy and I love to come and snuggle in these new seats and enjoy a romantic evening out at the movies eating popcorn. We love it here and come often. Great date night.

So far, the best I've been to! Haven't eaten there nor been to the VIP. The regular theatres are top notch. Hopefully us people don't destroy it.

Aaaah ya this is what's up. Most comfortable movie theater there is. Makes a big difference for those long ones

Great new theater. Fun. Clean. Great seating. Love the reclining seats. It's like if u are watching a movie at home.

Went to a smaller theater with recliner chairs. Definitely comfortable with electric foot rest. Movie theater was clean. Sound and screen good (we didn't see a 3d or avs).

I love this new movie theater It’s great! Not cheap but worth the trip from Downtown. The seats are great, super comfy Staff is kind.

Clean theater and friendly staff. But I couldn’t help but notice security was quite lax.you can easily sneak snacks inside. They don’t even check your backpack! I recommend buying snacks beforehand from a cheaper shop and avoid the long lines and high prices. Otherwise, great cinema.

Takes 6 employees to not be able to work a popcorn machine, while ignoring customers.
Then they tell you to go somewhere else to buy tickets. Very cool.
Also 20$ for vip tickets is a rip off considering you get absolutely nothing extra for the price.

I love VIP cinemas. Finally I find the most comfortable cinema, we can have a relax and have dinner.

So glad Cineplex has opened in Park Royal. This has been a longtime missing venue for the residents of the North Shore. The cinema complex is one of the newest venues in the area. Sporting VIP screening rooms and a restaurant the is spot on. @50whatnow

Theatre was very spacious and had VERY comfortable reclining leather seats. The main interior was a bit smaller than I expected, but very nice. Even with everyone's legs up, there is still room to get down the aisle to your seat. Staff were pretty fast at the registers, I'll definitely be coming back to this theatre.

When I went, the counters were covered in garbage and spilled soda, but I really can't blame the staff seeing as the theatre has only been operating for a couple weeks. They just need some time to get into routine.

Overall, we've needed a Cineplex on the North shore for a long time and I'm glad we've finally got it!

It is very clear that the theatre is still in the works.
After our movie was over my sister and I realized a couple next to us had left a some of their belongings, we walked around to look for a staff member to assist us, only to realize every single staff member was gone.
No one in the lobby, dining lounge, bathrooms or in the theatre after the movie was finished, there was only a maintenance guy who was working on the light fixtures and he didn’t know where the employees were.
I then watched a sketchy guy walk in with bags, hang around the empty arcade and then snuck his way into the theatre, easily could steal merchandise or personal belongings.
Asides from all that, the reclined seats were fun, food was okay (my nachos were dry and bland) and the sound was much better than the larger theatres.

The overpriced popcorn is amazingly TERRIBLE: dry as the desert; inconsistency in flavor so that one is like chewing on a piece of wood, and the next one is salty like I'm biting a mummified ham; some are burnt and bitter. I've enjoyed a bag of microwave popcorn from Costco much much much better. Be warned, do not get the popcorn here. The seats are alright, not as comfortable as some landmarks seats like in New West. It lacks the space for putting a tray of food between two people to share.

We had the worst experience ever at this theatre. We were so excited to have a decent theatre on the north shore, especially a VIP. Now two months of being open, the VIP still isn’t licensed so there is literally no point in paying $26 for a ticket. So we opted for a regular viewing of Godzilla. I get headaches from 3D so we had to do 2D, which only had one show time at 4: 40, not even a very convenient time. The movie started and it was clearly in 3D. My sister went out to speak to someone and was told they were looking into in. Ten minutes later, the movie was still playing in 3D. My sister went out again and was told they were just going to play the movie in 3D and even witnessed a manager telling an employee that they had to go tell everyone. The poor employees had to tell an angry crowd that they had to deal with 3D or go get a refund. We decided to stay and they restarted the movie but the quality was off and the screen was flickering. We decided at this point, along with most of the theatre, to just cut our losses and get a refund. We went to the lobby where they again had one poor employee trying to issue refunds. After ten minutes of waiting with no one being processed, they switched tills and the line had to move. After another five minutes, a manager finally came down and starting processing refunds. When we got up, I asked where he had been while his employees had been dealing with the mess only to be told he was only one of several managers and he had been trying to fix the movie. Great, but he was the first manager I had seen and he didn’t even apologize for our experience. Finally after wasting an hour on the experience as well as money on uneaten food, we got our refund and were on our way. We have been in nearly every Cineplex on the lower mainland and this is the absolute worst one. In current times where people are choosing to save money and stay home to watch Netflix this Cineplex will struggle to stay open if they don’t fix their issues soon.

Amazing customer service, nice theater, yummy food BUT very busy but that's only because it's one of the best new theaters!

We took the whole family and had a wonderful time. This place is brand new with the latest and greatest everything. The nice reclining spacious leather chairs make you feel at home but at the same time having the big screen in big sound movie experience is definitely worth trying out and enjoying. Everything is very well-managed And organized.

Newly opened VIP theatre but service is far from VIP standard. I've been to every Cineplex VIP theatres in the lower mainland and I was late for my movie despite arriving 1 hour early due to slow service and incompetent staffs (Sarthak and his manager)

This is brand new and taking movie experiences to a whole new level. Very spacious luxurious leather reclining seats. Very well organized and managed. A great experience for our whole family.
