Co-op Food Store

Amazing service, just what I needed from a small town grocery store. Staff were friendly and helped me find a new spice for my BBQ.

This very centrally located food store has free parking on the nearby streets of downtown Tofino.very convenient location, friendly staff, nice fruit and vegetables available.

I visit Tofino a few times per year, and I always do all of my grocery shopping at this store. Great selection, super reasonable prices, and I have always found the staff to be very warm and personable. Recently I had a unique request for a specific item that I wanted and someone on the staff (I forget their official title) made a special order for me just so they had extras of that item! Honestly, they went totally above and beyond and I was super grateful. Again, love this place. I'll never shop anywhere else when I'm in Tofino. 10/10 would recommend.

I went in there on Saturday. Great job on enforcing the Covid rules as some grocery stores have stopped enforcing them. I also want to apologize for my friend who kind of made a scene outside Saturday afternoon and made some comments about the cashier we both went through. So first off she was very nice and not rude as my friend said. And 2nd Bravo to the girl outside for sticking up for her co worker. This was my first time coming to Tofino and I went into the Co-op for a bottle of water. I was just impressed with the store and the staff. Good Job. Thank you

I enjoyed the practicality of the paper bag with my wet groceries.the lack of handle made it a joy to carry.

Great grocery store. Proud to be a member. Great selection of produce. They have a wide variety and a clean store. Friendly staff from what I experienced.
If I loved here, I'd shop here more. I was passing through on a trip. Happy they had local berries. There was a deal on blue berries from a local farm 2 for $7.00 and they were incredible! Very juicy, big and perfect ripeness.
Stop in and get some fresh food. You'll enjoy it:)

Went in to buy some Nan bread and some rice, great store but the cashier was rude and personally I wouldn't want that to be representative of my store but it is what it is. Work on your customer service.

A very rude staff. We were 3 different families coming to shop (6 persons) and she asked that 1 person only is allowed to the store. We told her we are different families but she was just plain rude and won’t let us in. She laughed sarcastically when we tried to explain and kept letting others in the store. Even the manager called the police for us.

I am a visitor in the city and all the 3 times I shopped there, the behaviour of their workers was extremely bad and mean.
This is the only market in Tofino and as it is no competition here and people don’t have many options, they allow themselves to talk to you in whatever way they want.
This market is horrible and I will not shop here again.

Rude check out girl ("clerk") demanding I leave the store while trying to pay and pack up groceries with my daughter and my husband as there're "three of us shopping together". We came is separately after standing in the rain outside waiting our turn to shop and shopping together as that's what families do.

Great clean store with a lot of good stuff. Some of the staff have very poor attuides making you think they really don't want to be there. If that were to be fixed, then that would be amazing!

Tofino Co-op was still open and running despite a power outage. We were able to pick up some tea lights and matches and pay with a credit card. Very grateful!

Very very poor customer service. I just left the store unhappy because of the cashier! I had one item that I decided not to take and I told her I don’t want this item, she gave me this look and rolled her eyes! And started scanning my purchase with a bothered face! I don’t know why someone have to be this rude to a customer! I even greeted her and asked her how is her day going and she treated me poorly. So disappointed.

Always interesting to go into stores with different local things available plus the general staples. Really friendly staff.

The staff is deadly.the selection is a bit limited, especially for produce. The olive cart and chicken fingers are the bomb at lunchtime

Staff keep the place clean and as much as possible the shelves stocked. They can only fill the shelves if they have the stock and that is not always available. I realize tofino means longer drives and the ferry adds to the bottom line but I resent them trying to make up that difference on every item. Friends from port alberni when visiting state they get sticker shock when shopping. The poor tourists are a captive shopper but locals get slammed as well with every increasing price hikes. Most staff are friendly and helpful but there a couple of young ladies that desperately need an attitude adjustment. It wouldn't kill them to smile especially to the tourist who does not know where things are in the store. The fact they don't have a co op number says they are tourists plus there are a remarkable number that English is not their first language. Smile! Ask if they are having a good visit. Engage! Smile! How difficult is that?

Good place to do some grocery runs. The place is quite clean and maintained. The staff are ok and friendly. They have paper pag which is great if you are environmentally conscious. The parking could be better as there are no parking lot and uses steet parking. But all in all amazing place to get food and drink.

Friendly staff and good selection for the size of community. I stop in every time I'm here for my grocery needs

Very poor deli service. Two people working, neither were helping the line up of guests at the counter.three stars because everyone else in the store was great. If I was reviewing just the deli it would have been two stars.
