Coast Dental Centre

A huge thank you to the Coast Dental Centre team for taking care of my young daughter.
From the time we were taking our drive to the clinic, she was very quiet and anxious as this was a new experience for her, and her older siblings take fun out of scaring her.
It was her first visit to Coast DC, and from when we entered, we were both greeted by a caring smile from Dina. DThe team was great in creating a kid friendly environment for her, by ensuring they were speaking with her directly and using clear descriptions of what was happening.
Dr Biljani was a god send, as she was very lively and great with speaking with her, making her laugh and calming her nerves
You can really tell that the team at Coast Dental does care about the patient experience, no matter the age.

I never been in a dentist for almost 5 years because of anxiety going to the dentist but this place really take care of me and let me feel that everything is okay that nothing i need to worry about and let them take care of my teeth.

The first dental business I’ve ever felt completely comfortable going to. Very caring and supportive to alleviate any anxiety one may have. There’s a calming energy as soon as you enter.

Incredibly helpful and kind staff. Prya, was super helpful and informative. We unfortunately had to pay out of pocket but the staff worked with us and offered lots of informative options. From the amazing reception, to the dentist and dental assistant. I highly recommend this place for anyone who needs dental work.

I have had two appointments with Dr. Brar now - one for a complicated tooth extraction, and one for a follow-up visit. Both times, I was very impressed with the help I received from the receptionists in booking the appointments and attention upon my arrival, and with Dr. Brar's expertise and follow-up information. I am not on a dental plan, but found the billing very fair. I am happy with the way I was treated and with the results of my appointments.

This is the best dental experience I’ve had! Such friendly people! I’m a chicken and they made me feel so at ease! Thorough and quick and pain free! That’s amazing! Charged me $300 for a simple tooth extraction. Learned from another dentist the standard for a simple extraction is $150, $300 is for a complicated extraction. Have had all further work done at a dentist who doesn't take advantage of their patients.

The receptionists were all welcoming and super helpful. The dentist and hygienist were both gentle and communicative as to what they were doing with my mouth/tooth. Non judgmental and super helpful and friendly.

Our family really likes Coast Dental Centre. Their dentists and hygienists are skilled and friendly. Never had any issues with any appointments in the past two years. Highly recommend them.

Best dentist yet. They go out of their way to make you comfortable and make procedures as painless as possible. The staff are all very helpful and kind. My last dentist here was Dr Hokold who retired but he was the best dentist I ever had and I will miss him. I would never hesitate to recommend this clinic to anyone.
July /19 I'm saw a new Dentist today and found her to be professional, friendly and she did a great job filling my tooth. Alot of Dentists would've loaded me with freezing to do the filling, but she didn't and everything went really well. The rest of the afternoon I didn't have to deal with the pain of the freezing coming out. Again the staff are great and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Clinic to anyone.

Wonderful experience! I had recently moved to Maple Ridge and I had a dental emergency / broken tooth, Coast Dental was recommended to me by my colleagues for their excellent care and they were able to accommodate my emergency and repair my tooth that afternoon. The staff is very understanding, knowledgeable and helpful, my dentist was excellent! This experience has helped me to choose my new family dentist! In gratitude for the support and help! Thank you!

I told the dentist I had sensitive teeth to hot and cold, he then rinsed my mouth with incredibly cold water. When he was probing my teeth he scraped so hard and hit my gums multiple times causing me to react in pain; each time he said "sorry, almost done" without changing his behaviours at all. By the time he was done i had tears in my eyes. He then told me that it looked like I had about 10 cavities and would need them all filled quickly. I have only ever had 2 cavities in my life, hearing that I now had 10 was shocking and upsetting. Even though I was visibly upset he proceeded to tell me how he would freeze my mouth and fill each one, he said if he didn't freeze it, it would be "very painful". At this point I was crying and he asked if I would like to do it right away. I said no and he immediately tried to schedule an appointment to have it done; I'm still crying. His assistant was doing a wonderful job of trying to calm me. After going to a different dentist for a second opinion I was told that I in fact had only 1 incredibly borderline cavity, and the rest was staining, not "tooth decay" as Coast Dental had told me. I did not need fillings or freezing, and will be saving over $1000 by not going to Coast Dental.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DENTIST.

I, m not sure that the man that worked on me was qualified to work on Toys he acted like he thought that he was better than everybody He was so rude to his assistant that I almost was going to deal him a taste of his own but I couldn't lower myself. It took a total six visits which maybe should have been done in one or two. Oh ya still not done right going to go elsewhere. He borders on the edge with his staff I watched him lay his hands on the assistant. He basically pushed her out the way physically to get to the computer while demeaning her verbally.

I am typing this review on behalf of my experience a few months ago. It was my very first time here and I get booked to see dr brar and thought nothing of it. I had my baby with me, but I brought a friend along to hold her while I went in. The hag of an assistant comes out and goes “no babies” I hadn’t even had time to hand my child to my friend. Dr brar is cold, rude and all around awful. He poked my gums HARD and when I flinched he said “stop moving”. He said I needed a root canal and crown which was later verified by a different dentist that it just needed a filling. And the way he talks to his staff makes me sick! He threw the darn chart at the receptionist and started yelling at her! Billing takes F O R E V E R be prepared to wait over 30 minutes for anything to get done because the receptionists won’t stop talking to other clients about non dental related stuff. I will never go back here or put any member of my family through this experience. Clearly there to make a quick buck off of suffering patients. AND STOP CALLING ME CONSTANTLY!

Went in for an emergency check because I had a excruciating sore cavity in my bottom right first mollar. Didnt get in till 30min after my scheduled appointment and was only in the dentist chair for 15 min. And the receptionist Jackie was more conserned with payment then my well being! Got an xray and left with meds for a week. Currently looking for a new dentist.

The team at Coast Dental are great and highly recommended. The facilities are well equipped and my dentist, Dr. Bijlani, is wonderful. Her exam was comprehensive and she explained the dental procedure and her recommendations as she went. It was well executed and if you are looking for a group of professionals you can trust, this is the place to go. A+
