Coast Parksville Hotel

The rooms were great. Front desk staff and housekeeping were friendly. Guests at the Coast Hotel get to play mini golf at the Paradise Fun Park for free (unlimited plays). Paradise has two courses with 18 holes each. Highly recommended.

First time staying in Parksville, chose Coast Parksville hoping we would have a welcoming, clean, quiet, comfortable stay. Room seems clean and smells fresh. Deb has a great demeanor, very friendly and helpful, kept her composure under pressure, great rep for the hotel. We loved the cozy touches, the coffee machine with quality coffee, the decors, the outdoor, fenced off, hang out with the BBQ in the gazebo and picnic table. Windows seems to be sound resistant. The unlimited Mini golf for the members are an excellent bonus

Clean air conditioner worked comfy beds refillable toiletries was a plus free coffee was delicious super short walk to great beach

Very friendly staff, clean, cool, great coffee machine! Pet friendly with a outdoor courtyard, large vacant grassy area right next door.

We enjoyed our trip to Parksville. The hotel was clean, renovated and in a good location. It was close to restaurants and the beach. We liked that pets were allowed to stay with us. There was a good selection of rooms with different amenities available. Our room had a kitchenette, which came in handy. We liked the nice lounge room and the free coffee machines in both the lounge and the guest rooms. The staff was courteous and helpful. The price was decent. Unfortunately, our room was adjacent to the lobby, so we heard noises throughout the night, and required earplugs for a decent sleep. We found the outdoor lighting outside our room to be a bit bright at night. We would stay again but would request a quieter room.
I would recommend this hotel for a family or a couple on vacation.

Rooms are reasonably priced. It is an older hotel which was updated to a more modern style. The cleanliness of the rooms has always been good during our stays. The customer service is top notch and staff have always been super friendly. Lounge with coffee machine is a nice perk. I like to stay here whenever I am in parksville

Front desk clerk was amazing. One doesn’t receive service like this very often any more. He would even hold the door for his guests. We can’t wait stay again. Highly recommended.

My other half and I travelled with our dog for one of our stays, the room that we were in was a pet friendly room however, the cleaning was definitely lacking. There were holes in the baseboards and seams of the flooring which were clear to be any holes, there were many spill marks from the guests who left previously dripping down the walls which resulted in so many ants infesting the kitchen area, the floors are NOT cleaned properly and our feet would be black or out socks would be black from walking on the floors. The room stunk very badly of turmeric and it was stained on the walls, they only febreezed it prior to our arrival. The gentleman at the front desk was amazing during our stay…. Younger fellow with a first name that started with the letter J…… no pool or hot tub and we stayed three nights and had to ask for fresh towels even though we left the service sign on the door and dirty towels on the floor of the bathroom, the sheets required changing and nothing was done until the evening of our return the second night and only upon asking.

What stood out most in our 2 night stay in Coast Parksville Hotel was the reception. We were greeted and accommodated to our by staff in such a warm and professional decorum. We felt very welcomed and well attended by the time each time we came in and outside of the front desk. The amenities and location are really optimal for our stay. The waterfront was less than 10 minutes to walk and there were plenty of places to eat around. Although we didn't really got to make use of the lounge there some fun and neat board games available and not to mention how cozy the guest lounge is. Overall you really get your money's worth in staying at this hotel. If there is any particular issue that needs to be brought the reception will be there at there best to help no matter what time of day. We really enjoyed our stay here and are looking forward to staying the night here again in the near future. Thank you for having us:)

Very good hot chocolate.and very close to the beach. May have a lot of guests w/ children.but relatively quiet.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and sanitized. Only issue was very low toilet, need to replace with comfort height.

Great little hotel - it’s a cheaper option for Parksville which I appreciate and the rooms are satisfactory. Jufer at the front desk is amazing - very knowledgeable and has a fantastic attitude! Once he realized it was my second visit he upgraded me to an awesome view with ocean glimpses out the window! Can walk to restaurants and beaches (5-10 minutes).

Jufer at the front desk was wonderful - he really made our stay. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms were average. Clean beds, free parking, and pet-friendly hotel checked all of our boxes. We would stay here again, mostly based on Jufer’s kindness.

We had an early thanksgiving celebration in Parksville and we decided to stay in this hotel. And we were very pleased especially the hospitality of the staff. Huge shoutout to the front desk/reception who’s very friendly and helpful. Kids love our short stay. Clean and well maintained rooms. Love the court yard and small lounge. Will definitely stay again!

Exceptional service from check in to checkout, beyond anything one would normally expect. The rooms are really well kept, microwave included, and parking is free. The beach is 10 min walk away and there's probably a dozen restaurants within a 15 min walk. They have a nicely lit small garden space on the side for takeout dinners, and a free to use barbecue. The coffee machine and water dispenser in the lounge downstairs are a great add.

My daughter and I stayed at the Coast Parksville Hotel on Sunday August 7th, in a room with two queen beds and a kitchenette. It was a poorly designed room. One bed was right near the door to the room, so all night long I heard people walking around in the hallway just outside the room door. The other bed was at the opposite end near the window and even though there were blackout curtains, it was situated right by the lit up sign of the hotel, so she had a bright light seeping in all night long and couldn't sleep either. Although there was a small kitchenette, there was no kitchen table or desk or living area (just two beds and the kitchenette), so there was really nowhere to eat food except on top of one of the beds. I paid $353.00 for this room and it was very overpriced for what it was. Will not stay here again.

Great location and top-notch service. The hospitality offered by the front counter staff was second to none, and we particularly appreciated the popsicles.

From the minute we checked in the staff were all incredible! So friendly and helpful! The room was so clean and we loved the access to the outdoor bbq! Outdoor seating was great too! Highly recommend for anyone but especially for families! Mini golf/bumper boats right across the street!

The staff are amazing. The room was clean and the bath products were the best. The only thing was the room was a bit small. We got there early and they let us stay in the lounge with complimentary coffee machine that had lattes, mochas and other coffee selections. The room was spacious and had a large flat screen TV. Would stay here again without a doubt! The staff made our stay.

Overall it was a great place to stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. We will definitely be booking with them again.

Worst hotel ever. Would have gave it 0 stars.
My room was dirty, snot on the wall beside the bed. The manager was useless not helpful at all. Would never stay there again. I’m considering never staying at any Coast Hotel chains because of this one in Parksville.

I have stayed in some of the most expensive resorts in the world; and I was not expecting to have the same type of service and professionalism when we booked this quick trip. My wife and I were blown away at the level of care and attention we received (opening doors, professionally dressed - SERVICE, SERVICE, SERVICE). I would suggest the 5 star resorts hire the young gentleman who helped us as a trainer for their teams - as he was beyond amazing! The facility was what we expected and frankly it was the individual who made this 5 star! Service is not a lost art- just a rare find! We will stay here again.

Clean, nicely renovated, comfortable beds, great location. Nice place to stay with the family. Loved the hangout area with hot chocolate and tea and games. I don’t know how others gave it such negative reviews. I’d stay again in a heartbeat.

The staff were absolutely delightful and very friendly, coffee lounge was a great service to have. The rooms are a little dark and aged, but perfectly comfortable and clean.

Very small rooms for the price, and we were awoken by staff knocking on our door at 2am; they then called us when we didnt answer.

Very nice hotel in that area. The staff is very chatty and friendly. Also there is complementary coffee varieties and power bars or even an ice cream sandwich. Our room was renovated and clean and we had no problem getting a toaster in the morning for our breakfast. Would definitely come back there.

Clean, comfortable rooms, with amazingly friendly staff. We had a room on the main floor with patio doors leading to an outside grassy area. During the day, we could sometimes hear voices from the front desk but night was quiet. Great value!

The staff at this hotel are first-class, the customer service is exceptional. Rooms are spotless. Family and pet friendly. Incredible value. A short walk to the beach. Lovely patio to sit out on in the evening and even a BBQ for guests to use. Definitely I’m going back.

There is no such thing as friendlier service than what I experienced at Coast Parksville. Add to that, clean rooms and a great night's sleep and what else do you want? How about freakin' amazing coffee downstairs in the lounge for free? Seriously, stay here when you visit Parksville.

The staff went above and beyond. The fact that they allow dogs was a huge deciding factor and it it is nice and close to the local beach where, which is a lovely walk and offers the chance to find sand dollars. The rooms were nice and they offer free coffee in the lounge with some lovely fixings. For the price you can not go wrong

This was a perfect quick stop from Vancouver to Tofino! Clean, allowed a late check in, and an ice cream treat when we checked in. They also reserved us a parking spot since we arrived past midnight! Would definitely stay again.

The receptionist kept calling asking us what time we were going to get there as it was a late check-in, which made it seem like the staff of this hotel was caring.
In fact we arrive at the place and are told to park in the street. Paid nearly 500$ to get a corner ground level unit which pretty much seemed like a broom closet. The fridge was leaking and got our bags wet. The towels in the washroom were damp and the only thing they offered was a 10% discount.
This should've cost 130$ max as it was a very cheap looking hotel room.

The staff is amazing, so appreciated walking in to an air conditioned room. Clean room comfortable bed, nice coffee station, ice cream treats, did I mention the amazing staff, they really care about making your stay the best possible. I would recommend staying here, I will definitely be back

Absolutely HORRIBLE! The staff is rude and does not care about your stay. Dirty rooms, pictures do not show an honest idea of the rooms.
On top of it the shower water will BURN your skin randomly as the water will get hot out of no where.
Management doesn’t return calls or emails.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. The doors to the hallway needs to have a seal put on them, very noisy. Way way overpriced for what you get.

The staff were the nicest people on planet earth. The rooms were great. The lounge has Netflix, YouTube, TV, Complimentary coffee, vending machines and a disc player. They also offer lots of activities throughout Parksville. The rooms were a little small for a family of 5, but it still worked out well.

We have stayed at several Coast Hotels and were a little surprised at some of the negative comments. Our experience lived up to our expectations. The room was clean and quiet, location was central and the staff was first class. Karim, Juper, Eileen and the rest of the staff are, by far, some of the most caring and attentive people I have ever meet in the hospitality industry. Thank you so much you guys!

We switched quickly from Victoria's Fairmont Empress right to this hotel in Parksville so it was definitely a big downhill change. The staff were pretty chatty with us and suggested a lot of nice places around for dinner. We had to ask for the sheets to be changed because there were some stains on the sheets. The area was pretty small but pretty decent if you just want a place to stay for a night or two.

Not worth the price we paid at all. I know that all the hotels are struggling but it's not a reason to skip on quality at that price. We got a "spare" room where there used to be the laundry room. Room was freezing upon arrival bed was broken and tilted to one side. Did not seem to have any maintenance on site. Room felt like a place they just threw the extra furniture in. Good thing it was only for a night. Get a hotel in another area. Outside looks nice. That's it. Sorry but skip this place unless you're really stuck and they have the rooms at 129$CAD that's the most I'd pay for this.

Have recently stayed at this hotel and would advise anyone thinking of staying here to spend the extra money and stay at another hotel. The “deluxe” room we stayed in was anything but deluxe! The couch was old and stained with god knows what, the lampshades were filthy, fridge leaked, ac unit loud, towels were ready to be used as rags and the bed needed replacing. This used to be the Sand Castle Hotel. Coast bought them out and by the looks of things kept all the previous hotels furniture etc. For sure this hotel does not live up to what the Coast Hotel website states.

Many phone calls and emails to management and head office have been met with frustration. Lip service is free and that’s all we have received from Coast Hotels. Will never stay at another hotel from this chain.

The room they gave me hadn't finished being cleaned, during a pandemic. There was a deuce in the toilet and pee under the seat. Plus the bathroom counter hadn't been cleaned. The hotel was full so they couldn't offer me another room and the whole city was booked or I would have left. Made me wonder what else hadn't been cleaned. I didn't trust to use the shower. I give them one star because of the desk clerk who came to clean the washroom herself. They were also charging $500/night for this cheap first floor room with broken trim. Would never stay here again!

Terrible conditions - was to be a deluxe suite - it was one room/one window with a filthy sofa bed and lampshade. Queen bed was old as were the towels. The mini fridge leaked. We were there for four days and the rooms were never cleaned. We had to ask daily for fresh towels and toilet paper! The worst of it was, there was no water regular so when someone inadvertently flushed the toilet, I was scalded. Sent emails with pictures to the hotel and Corporate Coast (Thurlow, Vancouver, BC) and absolutely nothing was done. We were offered a 25% discount for our next stay which we would NEVER use or even think of staying there again. So, no compensation whatsoever. Along with all of this, the Manager was not truthful with Corporate Coast and they let him get away with it. In the end this hotel likely continues with their very poor conditions and Corporate Coast allows it. Coast Hotels has deleted me from FB as my comments were negative and this is how they handle their guests - just make them go away.

We were very dissatisfied when we entered into our “Suite” The bedding was so distorted we couldn’t tell if it was clean or dirty! The couch was probably from the 70’s it was gold and dirty! The curtains were something from around the 70’s as well. Thank fully the front desk clerk helped the best he could and put on new bedding! I looked behind the bed because of the shape of the room I was worried about bed bugs, when I pulled out the bed you could tell it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time! The fridge was so frosted over that you couldn’t put anything into it. With taxes the room was $672! I thought we would be getting a beautiful suite for this amount. Funny how they say you will feel safe from the time you enter the hotel until you leave. I only felt safe when we left the hotel later that evening as we couldn’t stay in a hotel in this condition. So much for taking extra precautions during COVID. When we talked to the GM he pretty much didn’t believe what we were saying and said he was 25% responsible for this. So disappointed with this Coast hotel.

It was an amazing stay and the staff was super friendly! Beth, who was at the front desk was new I suppose and she took great care in ensuring we were comfortable. Small but cozy!

I had an amazing stay, a young man working there was so kind and helpful and actually upgraded my room to a much more spacious one.

I will 100% go back there, best customer service I have had in a very long time.

Awesome friendly staff, newly renovated rooms, walking distance to the beach and just a great experience overall. We will definiately be staying there again for our work trips.

My dog woke me at 4 am to go out. I took him out around the block.
When I got back into bed someone from the hotel called and asked me what I was doing? I obviously got no more sleep as I felt very violated. The next morning I checked out.

I was not refunded for my next nights stay. I don't believe a hotel has the right to spy on the their guest at 4 in the morning and am still wondering if they have cameras in the rooms. I wouĺd not recomend this hotel to anyone.
