Coast Victoria Hotel & Marina by APA

We went and stayed at the coast over Christmas weekend. The service was awesome, we brought our puppy and they treated him so good, with treats from the front desk every time we took him out. It was quiet, comfortable and they really know how to take care of their guests (we had cookies on our door when we woke up Christmas day). We can't wait to stay again, the location is great, walking distance to parliament buildings and harbour, and fishermans warf.

My wife and I had a waterfront room. The view was stunning, the city lights at night over the Christmas week were worth twice what we paid. The one disappointment was after returning from the theater show we attended that evening we were looking for bottled water and sadly the hotel has no micro store or vending machines. It is also too far for a short walk to retrieve any refreshments other than the bar downstairs. Also one thing (not really a complaint so much as a surprise), I have traveled so much more than most and generally hotel staff understand people check in with many states of mind.weary from travel, jetlagged, nervous about your AM business meeting, attending a funeral etc not just for leisure. The woman who checked us in gave me a very strange look, not sure why. Maybe I seemed tired, maybe it was my younger wife. Nonetheless judgement from a hospitality staff member comes across as unwelcoming and immature. It put me off slightly from check in. But overall it was a great stay.

The rooms are very clean and tidy.also experience the wonderful service by the stuff very helpful Nd the location of the hotel is very convenient to locate.

I have been to a lot of hotels in Victoria but nothing tops Coast Victoria. The front desk agents are very professional, as well as the bellman. I have stayed here 3 times already and all the employees that I have encountered were phenomenal. On Dec 15 late at night, I appreciate Jeffy (the gentleman with long hair) who was very efficient in fulfilling my request, he was very helpful and friendly. Also, I enjoyed the heated indoor/outdoor pool and the hot tub. The room and washroom were pretty clean, kudos to the housekeeping team! The heated toilet seat is amazing! Thanks for the free upgrade to an ocean view room and also for the yummy treat in the fridge and the thoughful note that came with it. I have yet to try dining at their restaurant, I heard a lot of good things about it. I can keep going about how wonderful this hotel is.highly recommended! It is indeed the best hotel in Victoria and my favorite!

Was an amazing experience beds and room was very comfortable and the view of the harbor was amazing. Awesome to watch the Sea Otters playing in the harbour

We arrived only to find out we were the special GUEST OF THE DAY! What a lovely surprise! We received a $20.00 gift certificate for the restaurant (. Food was yummy and service was excellent) …AND there was a very fancy tasty treat in the fridge waiting for us! Nice touch!
We also received an upgrade to an ocean view and a little balcony… We sooo appreciated being GUESTS OF THE DAY!
We will definitely be returning to this Coast Hotel in Victoria BC! It is now a new favourite hotel chain for us!

Awesome hotel on the shoreline/wharf, close to heart of Victoria, food options are almost endless with so many restaurants within easy walking distance. We didn't get to try the hotel restaurant this stay but it smelled great, and looked very classy.
The pool was probably the best hotel pool I've come across in BC, and kept my children busy for hours. The staff were great and offered above average service more than once for us during our visit. Finally the rooms were a bit smaller but very cozy and well furnished, and clean, and the toilet bidet was a huge hit with my whole family. Great spot.

Awful experience, hotel allows get people drunk in the pool, so they start to use very bad vocabulary even there are kids around and the hotel personnel don’t care, they have cameras and security but useless!

Love staying at the Coast Victoria Hotel whenever we visit - and having been doing so for over 25 years! Great staff, some who we’ve seen there for as long as we’ve been visiting and know us; fantastic view from the rooms and Blue Crab Restaurant - also great food, wine and drinks; nice rooms and good location!

Beautiful hotel, very friendly and the pool was to die for! Could be a little warmer now that's November.

We travel with a Labrador Retriever. We stayed at the hotel in October for one night. I would highly recommend the hotel for anyone who needs pet friendly accommodation. The staff are exceedingly welcoming and the hotel is very well placed to walk with your dog around downtown Victoria.

I recently stayed at the Coast for a work trip and loved how welcoming and friendly the staff were. Each staff person I interacted with over the multi-night stay and a couple of days in the conference room was incredibly friendly and helpful, blue crab restaurant included. The queen room was clean, spacious and comfortably set up, so it felt less like a cramped hotel room.
The location is also perfect here. James Bay is much quieter than downtown, but you are close enough to walk to anything you would want to check out!

Wonderful location; in close proximity to Fisherman’s Wharf, Legislative building, etc. The view is spectacular if you booked a water view room. Good service at the restaurant. Food is okay.

The hotel decor is a bit dated but the update renovations is coming. I just hope that room soundproofing is part of that renovation. There was a family of five with three kids in adjacent room. They weren’t being overly loud but you can hear the talking and laughter from next door at a level where you could not sleep. Seems to be a regular residential wall without any soundproofing.

Location is awesome. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Food was awesome. I would suggest bringing your own pillow as they are new and huge, if you prefer a thin pillow. Everything is clean, but unfortunately the tub is very worn and dates the bathroom. I would 100% go back!
