The folks at Coastal Heat Pumps have been good to deal with. The staff I have interacted with have been professional and respectful. However since my heat pump was installed in July 2022 when the temperatures drop below zero the heat pump stops working and displays an error code. It has shut down more than 5 times now. To their credit Coastal has come out to get the pump working again, but at the end of the day, my heat stops working every time the weather becomes cold so the issue has never been resolved. I was tempted to leave a poor review, but after thinking about what I wrote I felt that would not be completely far so I have edited my review. Seeing as it is freezing, and my heat is out again I cannot give them full marks as the quality of product/install is suspect unfortunately.

Service Technician Rylan B was fast and efficient performing our annual service. Coastal HP installed and services our system. House is over 102 years old. It has an EGH rating of 78. We enjoy low cost heat and A/C. Thanks.

Coastal Heat Pumps is an amazing company that I highly recommend. It was time for me to change from my 18 year old gas furnace to a heat pump. Other companies had huge waitlists and more importantly seemed to lack an interest in customer needs. But Coastal being so organized with a most refined business model were able to book within six weeks.

Throughout they treated my house as if their own. As luck would have it, a few days after the arrangements had been made, my gas furnace decided to pack it in. I called Darryl at Coastal Heat Pumps and he kindly juggled schedules to move up my installation date to the next week. His crew also immediately came over with 3 space heaters to tide me over. What a great service! That great service continued at the installation and related services. Everyone was so well trained, kind, answered all of my questions, and provided just excellent service and on time. They gave me exactly what I had hoped for. Big shout outs to Darryl (at the office), Mike H, Brent L, Iuaen, Tyler, Darren and Evan. Also to the duct contractor, Glen, and Roam Electric - who also were just superb.

The service from Tyler was top notch. The 3 indoor units and main heat pump had been neglected by the prior owners and were as dirty as I’d ever seen any. This was money well spent as they’re sparkling now and the u it is super quiet.
Tyler explained everything he was doing and had the pictures to show what and why, which gives me even more confidence in the work being completed.

Coastal installed our heat pump a year ago and we are very happy with how everything turned out and the service we have received from them all along the way. Ieuan was out this morning doing our first annual maintenance- he was very nice, did a great job checking everything over and took the time to explain it all to me at the end! And as everything was still in excellent shape with no concerns- that shows that their initial install work was excellent!

We are super pleased with the service and product from Coastal Heat Pumps. We have had great service and communication from the beginning. Connor took the time several times to answer our questions and explore all options with us. Mitch and Rylan were awesome when installing our heat pump! They were on time, considerate, polite, professional, friendly and took the time to explain what they were doing and ensured we understood what was going on. The quality of the service and products are top notch!

Ok. But, we don't seem to be able to change fan settings. Sometimes the fan isn't working. Turning the unit off, or throwing the breaker resets everything and all is ok. Our electricity bill is considerably lower since installing the heat pump.

The Coastal technicians, Jake and Smit, performed a quick and seamless installation of our heatpump. They were professional, polite, friendly and patiently answered all my questions. It was a joy to watch them do the installation because they really seemed to enjoy their work.

The coordination and communication regarding the installation was very good. The installation process went very smoothly. All the contractors arrived exactly as expected and were friendly and proficient.

I was very impressed with the heat pump installation by Tyler P and Jake P. They were professional, on time, friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. They worked extremely well as a team, quickly and efficiently, leaving the area very clean. Their updates throughout the installation were appreciated, answering my many questions. They walked me through how to use and maintain the system, giving me excellent advice on how to use it to best meet my comfort needs.

We had Coastal install a Fujitsu 3 Zone Heat Pump in our house. We had waited 9 months for the install (knowing there were supply chain issues) but when the time came to install, they were on time and had communicated about arrival times and were pretty much bang on with estimated install times. Noble Sheet Metal did the duct install (on a hot day in the attic, not fun) and were done in record time. The next day Chris, Mitch and Ieuan were here first in the morning to get started. They were able to work around our household needs and were courteous and professional throughout. David from Cedarhill Electric provided our electrical needs and did a very professional installation. Chris ran through the settings and maintenance at the end of the day and gave us some tips and tricks. Would highly recommend Coastal Heat Pumps!

Not only where Terrance and Tyler on time, they were early! This definitely worked in my favour because it was HOT outside! They were both polite and friendly, respectful and clean (shoe booties and all), and gave me status updates on the work in progress. They also explained how the system works and answered all my (possibly annoying) questions with patience, knowledge and a smile. Most importantly, they provided me with expert advice on how to use the system in the most efficient and cost savings way, while maintaining my home comfort requirements. I give Coastal an A+ for their knowledge, integrity, attention to detail, and customer focus. All of the team from Rick for the initial consult and Q&A to Brie showing me the setup at their office to Mike and team doing the install demonstrated all of these traits in spades. My wife and I are very satisfied with all that Coastal has done for us!

We haven't had any severe weather (hot or cold) to put the heat pump through its paces yet, but I'm sure it will work great and if not I know Coastal Heat Pumps will be there to make it so.

Update: it's been a few years now that we've had our heat pump system and it's been great - way lower bills, better comfort, and a/c in the summer. Throughout we have had Coastal do our service checks and they've always been professional. These guys do what they say and show up when they say. Recently, had a fan motor start making noise and they came out, diagnosed and replaced the troubled fan motor under warranty. We continue to highly recommend Coastal Heat Pumps.

Serviceman, Brent was thorough and super helpful and fixed the problem with my heat pump. Calling in for service was a good experience as well.
