COBS Bread Bakery

Always enjoy COBS. It's a treat for us every month or so. Usually go in for hot dog buns and a leaf of bread and we leave with scones, danishes, and cinnamon buns. Hard to resist!

The only place in town to get your bread. With the rising prices at the grocery stores, bread here is worth the 50 cents more!

Best Cobs I have been to- consistently great quality and great variety of products, and friendly efficient staff. This location is first rate.

It is very nice inside the store with delicious products. Little bit pricey, but what is cheap today?

I love Cobs bread but I’m disappointed with the customer service at this location, in the last 2 visits I’ve been met with a dismissive attitude, not a pleasant experience. I’ve found the service at Terminal park far more welcoming and helpful.

Picked up some cinnamon buns a six pack from this location few hours before close and the cinnamon buns are all stale like really bad. I bought some the other day from the other location and ate them late into the night and there were so soft and delicious. These ones had to be a day or 2 old

Bigger young girl in the front doesn't even know how to welcome new customers lol. No hi, no thanks, it was weird. Also they didn't have basic croissants so I just left.

Picked up 6 hot dog buns. Totally different from the regular ones I have bought here, they are like the yeast never worked chewy and hard to slice with a proper knife

Girl at the counter was so rude. I asked for a bag and she got upset about it and basically threw it at me and I had to put my own product in it. She refused to bag it for me. I will never return to this one again

Always love the bread. For whole wheat always go for Cape Seed. These days am hooked on their Cobs sourdough. Best sourdough as far as I am concerned and my lady, who is gluten sensitive, also loves the sourdough.

Very expensive. The baked goods are not good second day but day of they are delicious. Staff is always friendly and nice, though sometimes the younger staff looks judgy when we have gone in to buy multiple items.

Really unpleasant girl served me today. Could not hear her speak 3 times because the music was so loud and her mask muffled her voice so she just stared at me when I asked her to repeat herself. Chilly and rude during payment. If you don't like your job, move on. Won't be returning to this store.

The bread and pastries are always good, but Zara wasn’t very nice or helpful. She would ask me a question while looking out into the distance.we thanked her instead of the other way around when we left.maybe she had a bad day.

Most items are delish for those that can eat gluten, however they have now reduced making lowfod to just 2 days a week

The customer service lady was so lovely and patient with me when I asked for the nutritional value of all the different types of bread. She even made recommendations for the bread to buy based on the content and my requirement

If you don't have time to make your own bread then this is the next best thing to what your Mom used to make! Better variety too!

Beautiful set up, very patient and knowledgeable staff. Love being able to see into the baking area and see how clean they kept it. Great selection as well

This is by far the best COBS Bakery I have ever been to, and I've been to multiple. The staff are always super kind, professional and respectful no matter when I go or what I order, the products have never failed to impress me, being fresh and delicious every time, the interior of the store is nice and welcoming and I love what they do for the holiday season! I have recommended this COBS to so many of my friends and family members for it's quality and I will keep on doing so. If I were to own a business, I'd want it to be as much like this one as I could get it to be. They are in a great location, right by Superstore and Woodgrove mall and it is really convenient to drop by.

Best bread in Nanaimo. Even at their higher prices, the quality isn't something worth the difference. Its like the 2 ply toilet paper of bread. Once you've had it. You wont want the 1 ply again.

Love this place. Everytime I am in Nanaimo I stop here and get the raspberry and white chocolate chip scone. It is just the best scone ever. The bread is also delicious and fresh daily. If you haven't been here yet then you have to check it out the next time you see a COBS Bakery sign.

Love their whole grain bread and the high fibre bread. The hot cross buns taste like the ones my mother used to make.
The young ladies behind the counter are friendly and helpful. A pleasant experience shopping there.

Great service and some awesome l don't eat a lot of bread so I want the best when I do eat some.
