Cocoru Beer & Chicken

Last time I went here it was great so I decided to try it again. I arrived at 6: 30 pm when their hours clearly stated they were open, but doors were locked, lights were off, and there was no word of why it was closed.

I was pleasantly surprised with the food and the service. Just a little restaurant located off of a busy street.

The restaurant wasn't very busy when I arrived, but full when I left.

Great selection of craft beer.

My friends and I always hang out here and there's never a time we had to wait super long. Love the vibe & the food especially! I do find that they typically ran out of rice though which is something I hope they improve on as they're an Asian food place (meals feel incomplete without it!), but other than that, everything is good. Would recommend their Corn Cheese!

PS: Be careful as surrounding parkings are strict and has active human monitors checking ready to ticket you if you don't dine in their specific plazas!

Quick visit after a 13hr flight. Great atmosphere, good beer and outstanding chicken. Will prob come back before leaving Vancouver!

Besides the parking, it was really quick to get in and get a table! Attentive staff great food and drink selection! Will be back.

Best fried chicken in the city for sure. The soy garlic chicken is so crispy and flavourful and the potato wedges are so fluffy. The dipping sauce they give with the wedges are nice and creamy too. Would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for good fried chicken and a cozy place to drink.

Food was good, service was a little slow but the servers were great. Had a good laugh with them.

Chicken is fantastic but when the tab starts approaching ~$30 per person for chicken it makes you think twice about coming here again, especially with so many other KFC places in Vancouver.

Consistently delicious Korean fried chicken. Nice variety of food from the menu. Loved the Caesar salad topped with fried chicken. Highly recommend!

Decent KFC, prompt service and chill vibes from staff. Used to be very good but quality and taste seems to have gone down.

Had a fun time with fast service at Cocoru tonight, the staff member “Felicity” handled our complicated bill in no time with ease, as well as communicated effectively with each one of us. Couldn’t have asked for better staff tonight!

Order via Uber eats and surprisingly it was really tasty. Price however is very high for these Korean chicken. Has the cheese friend chicken and Yangyum chicken. The Chinese fried chicken was just fried chicken with powder cheese on it nothing special.

Ordered the half Yangnyeom and half Dakgangjeong. Both were absolutely delicious, although their flavors almost very similar. One is more saucy than the other as the menu suggested. All juicy chicken pieces have a crunchy outer shell and completely coated with their sauce. Potato wedges have a light crispy flavorful coating with a soft inside.
Rice is definitely recommend.
