Colette's Frocks

I have entrusted 2 pairs of boots - knee high and ankle boots (brand names in pristine condition) to Colette's shop. They did not sell for 6 months. End of season she half priced one and paid me pennies. I have requested to obtain the second pair back. She refuse to returned them to me. We agree to obtain them a week later. When I came back she declared them sold and gave me 23 dollars for them. That is how she is taking advantage of the items entrusted to her and being disloyal to her clients.
P. S. Every time I give her my family name spelled she told me I do not need to do that as she is an exellent speller. My name have variation with e in the end or without. I have been just trying to be helpful.
Unpleasant place to be which left a bitter aftertaste. Stay away.

Good quality preloved clothes. Not your average consignment shop - well above. Comfortable stylish well made clothing. Linens (lots!), cottons, just my style. Friendly helpful service.

I found a piece at Colette's that I loved, but I found a stain on the garment that looked very permanent. I was heartbroken, but Wendy (owner) went the extra mile. She returned the garment to the maker (local entrepreneur) who completely removed the stain, handling all the back and forth until it was returned to the shop like brand new. I've never had such outstanding service from a clothing shop. I highly recommend Colette's for anyone on the North Shore looking for interesting unique clothing. Thanks Wendy!

Incredible customer service! She knew my size immediately and told me about two other great business in the neighbourhood

I was shocked going in here. The two workers were not wearing masks, not social distancing from customers, and there wasn’t any hand sanitizer at the door. There was plexi glass at the till. You’d think that in a pandemic that protocols would be in place as it’s the law.

Wendy still owes me money! I had two items that she still didn't give me my commission for: a Le Chateau grey faux fur collar and a black Mystic dress she hasn't paid me for since 2016!
Her best friend Paula would come to Turnabout on West Broadway where I worked.and would tell me lots of private things about Wendy. What kind of best friend is that? !
I just want my money, that rightfully belongs to me.

I had a really negative experience here. I shopped with friends once and purchased something I wasn't fully sold on.
I wanted to exchange or refund, but according to their handwritten receipt system, Wendy/"Collette" refused to help me because allegedly the code used for that item on the receipt was for soemthing "totally different". She told me to get out of her store after I (politely, mind you) pressed by notifying her I have no other receipt, have never been here apart from purchasing this one item, and suggesting the possibility of human error on their staff's part.

So, my advice is obviously don't shop here. If you do, I insist you are sure about your purchase and don't intend to return it (because you can't- my hunch is Wendy lies about this code thing because you can't prove it otherwise) because she won't return your money. And lastly, ensure BEFORE YOU LEAVE the correct and corresponding code to your item has been properly HANDWRITTEN ON THEIR PAPER RECEIPT (yes, like the ones you can buy from the dollar store) is accurate.

I absolutely LOVE this little gem of a shop! There's always a new treasure to be found, and the stock is always changing and fresh. I have consigned many pieces here, and will continue to do so. Stores like these are essential for community! The gals that work here are super friendly and i just love going there <3

I dropped off some purses and followed up later to hopefully collect a cheque and they lost my file. Promised me a call back but never heard from them so I guess they are just keeping my money. Not impressed at all. Glad I tested them out with a couple things before I brought the mother load in. Wouldn’t recommend bringing your stuff her unless you like giving it away. Not to mention the person working there is very condescending.

I come in just twice a year when I'm in town and the employees always remember me and find me adorable clothes:)
