Colliery Dam Park

Beautiful park. Leash-free for our dogs. Love going for walks here. Part of the park is leash-free and another path is where did have to be on a leash. Good signage. Nice trails.

Very beautiful park, plenty of trails for walking/hiking. Waterfalls and lakes are gorgeous.

A fabulous little park only a 5 min drive outside of downtown Nanaimo. The full off-leash dog friendly loop is about 30 min around with places for your pup to run, climb, and swim. It’s a beautiful place! If you’re as lucky as me, you might have a local playing the trumpet for a little jazz in the park - such a treat in a Saturday morning!

Well maintained trails. Great fishing, walking, and off leash area for dogs! Easy walk that would be suitable for anyone including wheel chair. Always an enjoyable walk! Lots of parking at both entrances.

The park is prefect for after dinner walk during the summer time, and dog unleashed area is the most enjoyable area in the park, so many cute animals there. During the winter the trees looks different than the summer time, which is quite lovely as well, but cold.

Still a nice place to walk the dogs. A lot of new upgrades are in place. The park is safer. The smell of the trees and the sound of the water is very peaceful ️

Great little park to walk around. Mainly came here for the off leash dog park and it was amazing. Dogs are able to swim in the pond and run through the forest. Also a great place to socialize your dogs as there are plenty of dogs that come here. Tried a little bit of fishing but had no luck, saw a couple of otters though and that was fun to see

Incredibly nice park for a city like Nanaimo. Fishing for trout and swimming in the reservoir as well as their multiple hiking and mountain biking trails make this park one of Nanaimo's most popular treasures.

Great spot where they brought in a lot of sand and made a nice little beach area, perfect spot to walk in to go swimming or take tourbb

Absolutely beautiful park! Lots of space to walk and ride backs as well as swim and fish!
There is an off leash dog section so be cautious of what end your on when entering this beautiful spot, lots of parking also!

Super beautiful, gave 4 because there is so many off trails, it's easy to get lost lol.

I dont understand why people park all terrible at the full parking while 3 more parking areas are empty people grow up

Great local Nanaimo walking park. Some great benches to watch the people fish and swim. Spring very nice, summer must do for sunny day.

Great dog park. Sometimes you'll run into owners or dogs that aren't the nicest, but that's life. Highly recommend taking your well behaved dog here!

This is a gem in the heart of Nanaimo. Two reservoirs with ample swimming and fishing opportunities, and a multitude of walking trails + some dog off-leash areas for toto too. Beautiful any time of year, wonderful fall foliage, and bright and cheery in the spring and summer. A must visit!

This has become my go to spot in the city. Nature lovers can’t ask for anything better right in the middle of a city. Perfect.
